Tartarus Online: Collecting All Inmate Beauties

In the year 2152, the Earth stood on the brink of ruin, ravaged by resource depletion and the devastation of a fourth world war. In a desperate bid to prevent further destruction, the United Nations funds the creation of the VRMMO game “Devil’s Assassin,” a revolutionary virtual arena where nations could resolve conflicts without physical warfare. Everything was alright until it wasn’t. Logan Colt, once a man with a perfect life—wealth, a loving fiancée, and supportive friends and family—finds himself framed for using a forbidden cheating software called ‘Helper’ during a critical match between the USA and Japan. Following an expedited trial, he was convicted and sent to the notorious Tartarus prison. Tartarus was no ordinary prison. It was a place where the ‘Viewers’ had the ultimate power. They could have anyone eliminated from the competition of life, and the only way to survive was to entertain them. Forced into Tartarus, Logan had to survive in the treacherous world of criminals and entertain the insane viewers, so they don’t get him killed. Thankfully, he found the perfect cheat code to entertain the crowd. While everyone else focused on fights and gruesome deaths, Logan showed a different side of Tartarus to the outside viewers. One that depicts the hedonistic culture of the prison, all the while adding beautiful inmates to his harem of crazy women. *** ~~~Bonus Chapter Goals~~~ 50 powerstones/20 golden tickets: 1 bonus chapter. 1 review: 1 bonus chapter ~~~Gift goals~~~ Massage chair: 1 bonus chapter. Hidden Stat

The first round of the tutorial was all about strategic retreat and being smart, both in the game and in real life. The second round, on the other hand, was a test to check the unity along with the strength of players.

It was a mission where they had to defend certain locations from the zombies. But since the difficulty of this mission was a lot higher than the first one, the players were supposed to work together. If they didn't, then... GG.

Thankfully, the players had the choice to select the location they wanted to defend out of many given options. Some would be on the ground, while some would be on the terrace of various buildings.

This was what Logan meant when he advised Izna and Snake to 'stick to the roofs as much as possible'. Because only the ground wouldn't be safe for anyone unless they stick in large numbers to defend a particular spot as the zombies would inevitably swarm them.

'A round based on teamwork for people who knew nothing about coexisting peacefully... this will be interesting.'

Logan thought as he ventured deeper into the cave where a completely different test waited for him. Despite that, he was hoping at least twenty-five people could survive, as he would need them for the final round. Any less than that and things might get a bit out of hand.

However, from what Logan had observed in the first round, these criminally minded people would only come together under two conditions. Either someone forced them to come together, or they all had the same target to hunt down.

With Logan getting rid of the Helenski's and not being there himself, there was no one left to control the other players. Considering those factors, it would really appear a surprise if over 20 people survive the tutorial.

The zombies will still attack the players. Only now they would be stronger and the players would have weapons to fight back. Having weapons would put them in a favorable position. Or so they would think.

Most of the weapons they got as a 'reward' for surviving the first round were useless. They would have been effective against the weaker zombies the players faced in the first round, but not against the zombies they would face now.

Once again, taking down a bunch of zombies would require concentrated attacks and taking them down one after another.

This was also the reason Logan chose the nimble creationist class over the rest. Having the ability to craft weapons was a rare privilege because, even if his tools broke, he could freely craft as many weapons as he needed as long as he had enough material in his inventory.

As long as they can use the shop, they should be fine.

Apart from being a creationist, spending gold in the shop was the only way to get better weapons and other things necessary for survival. But Logan doubted most of them would have enough gold to buy even the tier 1 weapons, let alone tier 2 armor-piercing weapons.

"There's no point thinking about the rest if I can't survive the dungeon myself."

Logan tried not to think too much about what was going on outside the dungeon. Thankfully, the instance dungeon was keeping him occupied.

"These kukris are broken," Logan finally admitted.

Even though he knew about the Easter egg with the kukris, he never bothered getting them in his gameplays because the weapon was broken and could ruin the fun.

But now, considering his life depended on a game, Logan had decided it was the safest option to go all out. Hence, he gave it his all to get the kukri's special options unlocked and other titles.

[1/100 armored zombies killed.]

"Hm... this better be worth it. After all, I'm losing a lot of rewards I would have gotten if I just followed the rules." Logan mumbled.

It might seem like clearly the dungeon would give him absurdly good loot. But that wasn't the case. He could get better loot, but it was only about 11% chance. The only reason he went to the dungeon was the hidden skill of the kukris.

He wanted to know more about them because no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't remember a single time he had seen the option of unlocking hidden skills. In other words, it was all a gamble.

"Killing monsters that weren't supposed to be killable in the tutorial..." he smirked. "MeTube would break if I uploaded this gameplay."

He kept walking deeper and clashed against more and more armored zombies. With the title [Adversary of the Undead] and the Corrupted Kukris, slicing through the zombies was a piece of cake, but Logan soon realized something.

The more zombies he was killing, the lesser exp and stats he was getting. Which meant one thing: he was nearly the level cap of the tutorial. Logan killed the remaining zombie that was protecting the last room of the dungeon. And as he did that, something weird happened.

[You have met the hidden requirements.]

[New stat <Xenoic Energy> has been unlocked.]

"What... the... FUCK!? Is this for real?" Logan couldn't believe his eyes. "There was a way to learn xenoic energy manipulation in the freaking tutorial?"
