In the alley, a single man stood amidst the stench of death. Dozens upon dozens of rotten corpses could be seen around him, to depict the horror show a single man had presented to the world.
The blades in his hands were eager to kill more, but there wasn't anything left to hack and slash anymore.
"It's done..." Logan mumbled, his body covered in the rotten blood of the zombies. "Ha... it took a bit too much out of me."

"It's too noisy." Logan silenced the notification and headed over to the wall he had thrown Izna and Snake over. "Just show me my stats and it'll be enough."

'Woah... I don't remember anyone having such high stats in the tutorial of the DA. If you were lucky enough, maybe one of two of the stats would cross double digits, but now... I'm more than prepared for the next round.'
While Logan was happily enjoying his feat, there were others who hadn't been so lucky. The swarm of zombies he created not only swallowed the ones who were after his head but also half a dozen of others who had nothing to do with the attacks.
He wasn't aware of it, so it didn't bother him at all. Well, even if he was aware of it, there wasn't much he could have done. It wasn't like he could have controlled the zombies to only attack those he wanted.
With their lives on the line, quite a few people would have messed up eventually and in the end, everyone would have ended up dead. In other words, it wasn't a good idea to band a large group of people together like that.
'Going solo is the way for now. But I should help Izna and Snake till the tutorial is over.'
[Current number of survivors: 47]
[Second round will begin in 15 minutes. Please claim your rewards and prepare for the next round in the meantime.]
TING!
[You have received (7) items. Please claim them from your inventory.]
[You came in first place during the first round. We have sent (2) additional rewards to your inventory.]
[You have unlocked the <Shop >. You can spend your gold to buy a variety of items from here.]
Logan ignored the items for now and jumped over the wall. With his current stats, jumping over an eight feet tall wall was no big deal.
"What the hell!?" Izna exclaimed. Logan's sudden arrival startled her. "Oh, it's you."
"I see you got a crossbow. It'll be quite useful in the next-" Logan absentmindedly comment before turning towards Snake. "He's still uncon?"
"What?"
"I meant unconscious. Uncon is the acronym used by gamers for situations like these. I said it out of habit."
He then began fidgeting inside his inventory and used a medkit on Snake. Out of the nine times he had received, he got two medkits, raising his total to three. Since Snake suffered because he was tagging along with him, it was only the right thing to do and help him out.
Within moments of being used, Snake was back on his feet. Everything was fine now. Logan could proceed into the next round with no worries. Or could he?
"Since everyone is good, shall we get going?" Logan asked and turned towards the wall.
"No." Izna replied, "We are not going anywhere with you."
Logan remained silent because there was nothing for him to say. He didn't even know why Izna was going against him, especially after their kiss, but he didn't have to think for long to come up with the answer.
They nearly died because of him. It was obvious they wouldn't want to follow him anymore, and Logan didn't blame them. If what they went through here was too much for them, then they definitely weren't prepared for what he was going to do next.
"I understand. Either way, I was going to warn you about where I'm headed and I don't think after hearing all that either of you would've followed me."
He nodded without turning towards them. "Good luck for the next round. You'll need it, and a bit of friendly advice. Try to stick around the roofs as much as possible."
[Preparation time is up.]
[Second round will begin now.]
As soon as the notification popped up in the air, a hole appeared in the wall in front of them. Since there wasn't anything else Logan had to say to them, he entered the hole, and it immediately closed behind him.
[You have found a hidden dungeon.]
[Failing to clear it within the duration of the second round will cause death.]
[You will receive additional rewards for clearing the dungeon before the second round is completed.]

Meanwhile, outside, Snake was confused. Izna seemed pretty adamant about following the stranger before. But what happened to her to break their party so soon? Snake didn't have to ask before Izna answered him on her own.
"We would have held him back," she said, still staring at the wall where Logan had disappeared.
The way he dealt with Torrie and the rest of them made it obvious to her. Logan was in a league of his own. If they stuck with him, he would worry about them too much and might even end up dead.
As for the kiss they shared, it wasn't just a thanks, but also a farewell gift. Maybe they would meet again, and maybe they won't. In either case, Izna didn't want him weighing on her conscience and vice versa.
"Come on," she said, getting up. "We need to get upstairs."
