Being X

There existed a girl that was born into the world that possessed the memories of her past life but also the special attention of god or what she called it as 'Being X'.

Originally a salaryman who was murdered in 2013, he was reborn as a girl living in an alternate version of Europe during the late Interwar period.

She entered the Empire's mages troops at the young age of nine and was promoted to the rank of Second Lieutenant.

Her talents, strategies, efficiency and ruthlessness made her a useful asset for the Empire and made her a great threat on the battlefield to those that opposed the Empire.

Throughout every war that the Empire encountered, Tanya was usually at the very centre of each major development but so was the influence that 'Being X' had brought to the world.

Their continued war against each other had long got out of hand since the beginning after she had refused to be converted and 'Being X' being unable to let that go.

The more messages, visions or power granting that 'Being X' had done for the sake of putting Tanya in a dire enough situation that she would finally convert her faith, the more people came to be drawn to 'Being X' and were used for that purpose.

The Empire expanded rapidly through many difficult conflicts and Tanya became feared by many outside of the Empire and within it.

Meanwhile the low amount of faith towards god in the world was improving drastically with more people realising that god did really exist and was trying to guide them to the right path that was to kill the devil.

'Being X' looked down on the world as everything was slowly coming to an end after Tanya had miraculously survived through the many years of combat and had become an adult.

'Being X' may not have been too pleased with the lack of success towards converting Tanya but the upside was that the world that was severely lacking in faith towards god had suddenly increased rapidly over the years.

'Being X' looked on as Tanya was going over documents in her office that she had been assigned to after finally getting what she wanted after bringing the Empire enough victories to gain control of most of the world.

It was her reward that she was happy with since there would no longer be a need to risk her life anymore.

She was still on guard and did not trust that 'Being X' would let things go so easily so she continued to be alert as possible even when things looked peaceful.

That was until it was a regular day for her and she had gone about her daily routines but many people had suddenly jumped towards her out of nowhere.

They had a fanatical golden glow in their eyes and they moved as quickly as possible to get within range of her and their magic became increasingly unstable.

Tanya put up her magic shield to protect herself in a hurry but one explosion happened one after another which had worn down her shield.

'Being X' had granted more people than before to deal with her and it had been carefully arranged for everyone to work according to the design of god.

They were all gathered together for their hatred towards the devil and had mainly been those that had lost someone to Tanya or had been a survivor of one of the wars that had went into hiding.

The explosions continued and finally blew apart the magic shield then others were able to get close enough to grab onto her.

More grabbed on and Tanya had been blown up along with them which had caused her soul to slowly disperse.

'Being X' had suddenly made a move and the soul was attracted towards them before resting in front of their gaze. 'This soul cannot be allowed to get away so easily and it can still be of help to me.'

Even after winning through the use of such tactics, 'Being X' had still not been satisfied with letting the soul disperse as planned.

The promise was made that Tanya would no longer be able to reincarnate after her death and it had happened that way but 'Being X' had decided that it would be a waste to have things end that way.

There was still no faith coming from Tanya so 'Being X' still did not get what was originally wanted, the soul of Tanya was still seen as having some use to 'Being X' after everything that happened and the rivalry had made the time of 'Being X' more enjoyable.

Many worlds scrolled before the eyes of 'Being X' and the faith coming from those worlds varied from being very high to having none at all.

One had been stopped upon and 'Being X' had thought to themself. 'This world should be more difficult but keeping the memories of this round will only make things much easier so they need to be removed.

A more desperate situation may trigger a conversion but I will still give a grace period in which I will not actively target this soul. After then, we will begin our game again. Only this time, I have learned a thing of two from our encounters.

This time I will not grant any kind of special powers but this soul is very adaptable so they will get used to their surroundings quickly. The races there are quite a few but if I want them to struggle then it would be best not to give them a race with special abilities.'

The soul was thrown towards the world after the memories belonging to the magic and other experiences in the second life had been removed, some time later in a war torn kingdom that was named the Vodka Kingdom that was a part of a region called the Grand Line.

A blonde baby girl with blue eyes was born but her father had died in the war and her mother died in childbirth so she was raised in an orphanage.

Meanwhile a certain god named 'Being X' was looking into the world and took an interest towards the strange energies and other things that were involved in it.

During the time that the girl was growing up, 'Being X' was playing around with the energies and was guiding the things that were called Devil Fruits towards potential candidates that could be useful pawns. 'The influence of faith here is not very good.

It will be difficult to influence anyone here but there should be others at the bottom that have a hatred or lack of faith towards the current ruling and faith system of this world.'

'Being X' decided to target those who were in the minority position that may have suffered at the hands of the ruling powers of the world that either wished for revenge or were in too desperate a situation that they would take the help of an unknown entity.

The rivalry and conflict between a human and a god was happening yet again in another world.
