As Yang Yu headed down the mountain he was deciding what to do with the spirit stones. 'I could save them or spend them on some stuff, I mean I'll be going out into the 10,000 Beasts Forest, I could use some items.' Yang Yu thought as he made his way to the foot of the mountain.
"Yes, its best to grab some medicines, and such, maybe even a weapon." Yun Zhu said as Yang Yu nodded, but soon he looked at Yun Zhu confusedly. "Now you want me to learn a weapon technique?" Yang Yu asked.
"Of course, a weapon is always important. Don't worry though, I have techniques for every weapon under the sun, so no matter your preference, I'll have it." Yun Zhu said as Yang Yu nodded.
Soon he reached the foot of the mountain and retrieved Xiao Lei, before hopping on him and flying towards the Merchant Valley. The trip was swift since the Mortal Mountains, which the Missions Hall was situated on, were so close to the valley.
After landing in the Merchant Valley Yang Yu walked towards the Mystic Medicine Hall. 'So what items would I need?' Yang Yu thought as Yun Zhu began to contemplate.
"Hmm, Beast Repellent, Insect Repellent, some Antidotes, some Healing medicines as well, and, that should be about it." Yun Zhu said as Yang Yu nodded. 'Hmm, after that I'll look for the 100 Weapons Pavilion.' Yang Yu thought as he entered the Mystic Medicine Hall.
After almost an hour of browsing, Yang Yu acquired the items he needed, each in a clearly labelled porcelain bottle. 'Great, and this all only cost 1 Spirit Stone in total.' Yang Yu thought as he stealthily placed the bottles in the Crimson Steel Ring.
'This ring still surprises me, where did you find it?' Yang Yu thought as Yun Zhu chuckled. "Well, I had originally purchases the ring, but the mechanisms which allow it to act as a spatial storage were my doing." Yun Zhu explained.
'Wow, what did you do?' Yang Yu thought in awe. "I just added a few inscriptions onto it, its nothing to hard, especially after learning Array Formation as long as I have." Yun Zhu said as they walked down the road.
"If you want I can teach you at some point." Yun Zhu continued as Yang Yu nodded happily. 'Ya if possible please do.' Yang Yu thought as Yun Zhu chuckled.
Soon they reached the 100 Weapons Pavilion, it was less grandiose then the Mystic Medicine Hall, being surrounded by shops on both sides. It was only 2 floors high, and looked rustic. The sign with the name of the shop though, was extremely bold and written with immense detail.
'This shop, looks nice.' Yang Yu thought as he entered, immediately what greeted him were a multitude of weapons, each with their rank and price clearly labelled.
"Cool." Yang Yu said as he gazed at them. Immediately he went towards the sword section, seeing the immense blade sizes and shapes. "May I test it out?" Yang Yu asked as the shop manager nodded.
"Just don't break anything." He tiredly said as Yang Yu looked towards the Peak Grade Mortal Rank sword. Immediately he grabbed it, and felt the handle as he swung it around.
Seeing this the shop manager's eyes widened in disbelief. 'To wave that weapon around like that, would at least require a cultivation in the Qi Inscription or Qi Refining level.' He thought in amazement as Yang Yu put the sword back.
'It doesn't feel right.' He thought as he picked up another sword, and then another, and another. Each time he surprised the manager even more, but no sword felt right with him.
"Yang Yu, maybe you're trying the wrong weapon, think back to the fight with Jiang Long." Yun Zhu said as a look of enlightenment flashed across Yang Yu's face. Soon though he shook his head.
'Isn't a spear a direct and powerful weapon, one full of pride.' Yang Yu thought as Yun Zhu chuckled. "And what makes you think you aren't those things?" Yun Zhu replied. 'I mean, I picked a movement technique to run away if need be, didn't I?' Yang Yu talked as he looked towards Yun Zhu as if he was an idiot.
"Just because you are one, doesn't mean you can't be the other. Aren't you trying to be powerful, aren't you quite direct as well, not only that, but weren't you prideful and arrogant when you dared to trick your boss about my ring, and kept it for yourself?" Yun Zhu replied as Yang Yu's face flushed red momentarily.
The shop manager on the side looked at him weirdly. 'I guess all strong people have their weird traits, but that reminds me, aren't those, Inner Disciple robes, not only that, but that kid, he can't be older than 12 or 13.' The shop manager thought in shock yet again.
Noticing the shop manager looking at him, Yang Yu quickly turned his eyes toward the spears, and began to feel them out. 'Too stiff, too light, unbalanced, too big.' He thought as he tried out spear after spear.
As Yang Yu browsed, no spear genuinely caught his eye, till he gazed at a certain spear. It was completely black in colour and was 2 meters long, the spear head was extremely sharp, and the light that pierced through the shop windows reflected off of it.
This spear's name, was Midnight. 'A Peak Mortal Weapon, 2 Spirit Stones in price, not only that, but I find barely any fault with it.' Yang Yu thought as he twirled around the spear a bit.
After that, he headed to the manager and placed the spear on the counter. Surprisingly the counter could handle its weight and Yang Yu immediately brought out 2 spirit stones.
"Keep 1." The manager said as Yang Yu simply nodded and took back 1 of the spirit stones. "What's the catch?" Yang Yu asked with some suspicion. "Nothing, nothing at all, I just hope next time you decide to buy a weapon you'll choose the 100 Weapons Pavilion." The manager said as Yang Yu nodded before grabbing Midnight.
"You got anything I can strap it to my back with?" Yang Yu asked as the manager nodded before giving Yang Yu a few leather straps. "Thanks." Yang Yu said as he grabbed the straps and quickly attached them before attaching the spear.
"I'll be off then, thank you for your service." Yang Yu said as he left. "Come again." The manager said as he watched Yang Yu leave. 'I think I captured a big fish today.' The manager thought hopefully as Yang Yu walked into the distance.
