Adapting to Fight in the Dark

With the level of Spell Blade, the [Skill: Fireball] of Gargoyles was cut like paper and dissipated in the air.

However, the Gargoyles are far from stopping to kill Gerard. Without a moment to rest, the Gargoyles reached and try to claw their way into his face.

Impressive enough, Gerard timely uses the Spell Blade to block the sharp claw of one of the Gargoyles.

Krrrk. The sound created by the claws trying to scratch the Spell Blade reverberate which made Gerard instinctively close one of his eyes as his ears were hurt due to the sound.

Gerard pushes back the Gargoyle by applying force to the Spell Blade and swings it hard. But his misery didn't end as his peripheral view caught the other Gargoyle cast [Skill: Fireball].

He then turns his body and instead of running from the skill, he runs towards it with a single swing of the Spell Blade, the skill was cut in half and dissipated in the air.
