Synthetic Survivor: Machine Age(Alternative)

Disclaimer: Most of the contents in this book doesn't belong to me but from the original author name NaranNarman, the author of the original Synthetic Survivor. The reason I made this book was create a better version of it, because some part of the story isn't good and doesn't make any sense, so I'll rewrite it then. While the original author seems retires and didn't complete the whole story, I might just gonna complete it for him. And also, in this book, the characters and the outcome of the story is similar, I added an extra twist to make the story very thrill. And I change the names from the orginal book cause I felt like it. References: Out of Space, Science/Magic, Doom Eternal, Overlord, Gate, Minecraft, Monster Hunter, etc. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- A man woke with amnesia underneath the shattered remains of a once powerful human civilization. Follow him as he and his Empire explores this new mystical world full of elves, goblins, orcs, dwarves, ogres, humans, kingdoms, Empires and magic! His goal of restoring life may be within his grasps. But that does not mean there won’t be opposition. There will be battles, wars and calamities, millions will perish in the onslaught that will soon follow. Especially, when he discovers that the new world held the secrets of the past. He will face Deities and powerful foes, will he prevail? New weapons he will smith and countries he shall wipe out. Note: I'm fine with the Critism comments you will sent, because it helps me with my mistake on the story, and don't do it TOO much because I'm a bit emotional.

Before their Arrival

=Few Months Ago=

A female was walking the halls of an ancient temple, or one of their secret bases from civilization. She wore her black robe and her organization's uniform behind the robe. She has numerous tattoos all over her hand and a tattoo of a number '38' on her right palm. She was also considered a prodigy by her peers as she quickly rose through C-rank ever since at the age of 5.

It was Veltras.

A couple hours ago her life quickly changed once that they portal opened in their ritual room, the current Site Director of one of the Organization's Sites received the task from her superiors in their main headquarters of creating a reconnaissance team to travel beyond the portal, their main reason to open the portal was not just for resources but they were ordered by their Master beyond the world to open the portal to return to the other Facilities of theirs after lost connection to the other Organization's bases across the universe.

The Organization is a mysterious foundation to Fordalt and has many names from other countries. They call themselves as Returning Dusk, Dark Mahon, Shadow Creed, and more.

Their origins are unknown but they first appeared at the end of the Second Great War. During their 1000 years of their time, they made alliances with other dangerous and powerful organizations like the Church of Carnage, The Scorch Mutiny, including the Ancient Demons.

Nobody knows what are the organization's objectives, some of them believe they worship the Demons and some say all of them research on Dark Magic, but most of it are untrue because they gave who targets the Organization false information about them, but except some people knew they kidnapped people for their own experiments, nobody what it was but rumors says they are experimenting with some creature, or THE creature that causes the Second Great War.

Which is technically true.

For 1000 years, these organizations lived for a long time in Fordalt and studied these creatures. The people believed they might figure out how to utilize them and against the world.

But neither of them knows exactly.

However, unfortunately for them, they underestimate their intelligence resulting in one escapes and causes havoc in one of their organization sites having massive casualties and deaths so they have no choice but to initiate a magic self-destruct, destroying everything including them.

Hundred years later after that incident they found a forgotten magic that existed before the Second Great War, then for a few centuries, they kept figuring how to start this magic, but thanks to Aurora, one of the Theocracy Councilors, they were able to figure it out soon.

But Veltras on the other hand found the whole situation outrageous, sending her men through the thing? They didn't even know where it could take them. They created a unit of 120 experts of Mages and Practitioners, 59 C-ranks, 44 B-ranks, 16 D-ranks, and 1 A-rank wielding enchanted weapons and heavy enchanted armor that not even 7th tier spells or a <B+> rank could penetrate it easily.

The group returned in about an hour after entering the portal. Their hard-boiled expressions could not be seen on their faces, instead they were all scared, multiple of them were crying, others were dragged back because they fainted from stress. They also brought back 81 bodies (body parts rather) of their fallen comrades and 2 strange metal-looking beings. Their whole bodies were equipped with metal armor or maybe were skins and their appearance is otherworldly.

Yan, one of their powerful Practitioners, an A-rank, gave Veltras the report soon after.

"Madam Valtras, when we arrived on the other side of this portal, we found ourselves in a huge city with massive towers that reach the heavens but with no population around. At first we thought that we were in the capital city of the Republic or the capital city of the Kingdom of Meccan. While we traveled around this massive city, we then found the outskirts of the city, what we found was only a massive field of grass. But then we notice something. There are these strange metal beings that look like they were farming, but for some unknown reason, when they spotted us, we felt a deep fear when we locked on their eyes, like they were piercing our souls, it's something we haven't felt for so long."

"I fear no monsters, demons, and man, but those things... it scares me" He continued.

Veltras couldn't believe her ears. 'Metal Beings'? Was it some golems perhaps? But that doesn't explain how they lost many of their best men. Sweat started to consume her entire body, she knew that she would not like the next part of the report.

"At this sight, Oliver, one of the C-rank mages, started to cast his magic and started firing magic at the Metal beings out of fear. Soon all of my men joined in, then suddenly some of these metal things came out of the ground and started spraying water in all directions. We first thought it was some magic attack on them so we engaged, cast fire magic at it, burning them including the grass. Then we heard an otherworldly noise, it's not something we've ever heard before and it sounds so unnatural. Those two metal creatures rushed at us and decapitated 4 of our men in half with one swing with just their bare hands!" Tears ran down Yan's face when he got to this point, his muscular body was visibly shaking from the trauma.

"Our magic, swords, arrows, magical weapons, magic artifacts, and other shits could not hurt those things, we emptied most of our mana and weapons at them on their bodies! Each of them has the power of an A-rank! I cast several 7th tier spells at once on one of the metal beings which had some effect... It flew back and after that one of his legs was limping. All of our B-rank mages started casting with our 7th tier spells while the rest of us tried to keep them at bay. Multiple of our men got hit by the magic but we had no choice! After each of them took at least 50 7th tier spells they fell to the ground. We finished the remaining attackers and here we are... "

Veltras was speechless to say the least. She knew something went horribly wrong but this was unheard of in the history of Fordalt.

Killing their men who wore their strongest armor with just their bare hands easily? Immune most of their magics? Metal Beings? What world did they enter?

She let out the deepest sigh in her life, let the clearly mentally scarred for life Yan leave, and gave her commands to her assistants.

"Confine those two beings and our fallen men in the strongest chains, give them medicines or what not, take them to the deepest underground floor, I don't care! Do whatever you need to do to restrict them until we confirm that they died! Contact the others from the other Sites, and ask for more assistance in guarding the portal! I will inform our superiors."

Losing connection to the other sites in other worlds, losing one of their main Subjects, losing many of their sites, losing many powerful and important men in their organization from Test Subject#789, losing her Uncle the leader of the Organization, then now this?

Veltras swear this one will be the worst of all.
