SUPERHERO GETS A GRANDPA SYSTEM

It's not so easy to make it as a superhero these days. In the golden age of heroes, it didn't matter what kind of ability you had. If you had an ability, dressed up in bright colors, and came up with a crazy name; you had it made. You were a hero. The world isn't so simple anymore. Kyle Kane is finding life as a teenage superhero to be worse than a pimple on prom night. Eliminated from his team and forced into normal classes, Kyle's F class powers have doomed him to harassment and mediocrity. Then one day, he gets a cranky message from a system. "I'm your system, congratulations, blah blah blah." Is this Kyle's chance or just another new way to be humiliated?

Battle Rage

Bragg continued blocking the Blue Fire Devil Man and kept it in a pocket. It could only retreat, but only where Bragg wanted it to retreat. It couldn't advance but move from side to side.

He was extremely stressed. This creature was clever and vicious. Thanks to whatever Kyle did to his shields he wasn't in any immediate danger. However, the creature was getting angry.

Kyle and the others came into support positions behind Bragg. Seeing the others coming over he started feeling better.

"Keep blocking, and we'll attack," Kyle instructed Bragg.

"Ok!"

"Riley, we're up first!" Kyle and Riley ran near the creature. Kyle used his sliding tackle to knock the creature off its feet. Kyle slashed it with his sword. The sword slash barely did any damage.

It irritated it more than anything else. It had a very strong defense. "External armor, go for the joints and soft tissues," Kyle commanded.

As he was giving orders, a blue flame shot at Kyle who dodged behind Bragg for protection. The creature couldn't unleash an endless amount of flames.

For every flame breath, it would take five minutes to recharge. They had five minutes of fighting time. The continuous threat was its claws dripping with burning poison.

Major and Kim replaced Riley and Kyle at the front. Major brought out a large ice-blue broadsword.

"Let's see how you handle my Ice Blade!" Major yelled as he struck the creature's left claw. Kim threw a series of boomerangs.

The boomerangs were sharp and attacked at unusual angles. The creature couldn't even block one of them.

Kyle watched the attack and watched to see how much health the monster lost from the attack.

"Not too much damage. Even though it has fire essence the ice attack doesn't hurt it too much. The boomerangs are just barely slicing through the skin but the creature regenerates quickly."

Kyle wasn't sure how to attack the creature; he looked at a bestiary from the books he took from the Baron's library.

Not many details were given about the Blue Fire Devil Man. This book mainly listed its abilities but didn't have much to say about weaknesses.

"Riley, Major, Kim, focus your attacks on its right wrist," Kyle said as he went into another sliding tackle. The monster knew what Kyle was going to do, so it dodged out of the way.

It raised its right claw to strike at Kyle when a series of boomerangs sliced its wrist. The Ice Blade left a thick cut and Riley followed with an expert slice.

The monster roared in pain, but it was suddenly struck in the eye by an arrow. The arrow was covered in the power Kyle gave Shadow Bow.

The creature roared in pain and pulled the arrow out along with its eye. It closed its left eye and roared. Kyle grabbed the right wrist and flipped the creature as if he was in a Judo class.

The creature flipped over from its back and had its fists smashed on the ground as it tried to stand. The men with swords or anything that sliced continued to attack its right wish.

Bragg smashed it in the face with his shields, and Kyle jumped on top of it and kicked its head into the floor.

This same attack pattern was carried out several times. It knew what was going to happen, but it couldn't figure out how to respond to the attacks.

Finally, Major sliced through the wrist and Riley retrieved its hand. The creature collapsed onto its stomach. Its entire body exploded in blue flames as it jumped up and raised its stump.

It was furious and entered the state of Battle Rage. An uncontrollable fire exploded out of the stump. The fire shot into Major's face and burned him. It was mixed with poison and fire.

The combination of the poison and fire got past his defenses and Major quickly became ash. Kim was shocked by the sight of his leader's death.

The creature's other claw pierced through Kim's chest. The full strength of its poison entered Kim's bloodstream. Kim screamed in pain, his body was thrown to the side as Kim died from poison.

The deaths of Major and Kim shocked Kyle, "NO!" he yelled.

Arrows struck the creature's body and the fires were suppressed by the arrows covered in the powder.

Kyle saw Shadow Sis slip back into the shadow and run away. He saw the black patch was attached to the creature's side.

Using his sliding tackle, Kyle got underneath the creature. Instead of trying to tackle the creature, Kyle threw a right hook and hit the black patch with his full strength.

He then flashed back to stand next to Riley. The patch seemed to explode into a black liquid. The liquid splashed everywhere.

Riley didn't understand what was going on, the patch seemed to fail. Then the liquid drops came alive and squirmed back to the monster and flowed together covering the creature.

Eventually, the monster's entire body was covered by the black liquid which solidified until the creature was encased in a black shell.

"Is it dead?" Riley asked.

"No, get ready," Kyle said. After a few minutes, The shell exploded and the enraged Devil Man was standing there looking at Kyle and bearing its fangs. Strangely, the fire on its body was gone.

"Kill it!" Kyle saw on his Hud the creature had less than 20% health left. Shadow Bow shot real and shadow arrows continuously.

Riley swung his sword making as many cuts as possible. Bragg used his shield to punch its knee and force it down.

The combined attacks wore the creature down; even its regenerative abilities couldn't keep up with the endless attacks.

"Monkey King Rocks!" Kyle yelled as he slammed his AOE into the back of the creature's head. This time, he didn't allow the power of the AOE to penetrate beyond the head of the creature.

Its head exploded. The shock from the sudden end of the fight caused Bragg to fall on his rear.
