10. Getting bodyguards.

Robert walked out of the alley with two girls behind him. In the passage four guys lay on the ground without a movement, Robert didn't kill them but destroyed their nerves controlling their limbs.

After they wake up they won't be able to move their arms and legs but can feel them. Robert felt his punishment was enough for such guys who don't care about women, but now he was in a tight situation.

"So my dear baby can you tell me why you brought two girls, whom you just met during our lunch?" May asked with a smile but Robert could sense her annoyance. Even Kali felt something was wrong with this woman, after the little guy invited them they hesitated a bit but agreed soon afterwards. Making even them puzzled as they don't trust strangers much, but Robert gave them a different feeling.

"Mom, well they are somewhat... like me" Robert said making May stiff for a second. "Are you sure baby? Did they see you using your powers?" May asked with the most serious face "Do you want to..." She made a throat-slicing action with her fingers.

"You know that we are right behind you, right?" Dottie asked with annoyance, suddenly an idea sparked in her mind. She quickly got near Robert and took his arms between her small boobs, which surprised Robert. "Darling you won't let this old woman hurt me right?" She asked with a pitiful look but Robert broke a cold sweat as he noticed May's growing anger. Even Kali felt that she might lose her today if she didn't stop her friend now.

Robert quickly moved away from Dottie and hugged May while calming her down. Kali took Dottie while telling her to keep quiet. Robert felt May's hand on her gun which he gave her this morning " Mom, mom... calm down. She is just a bit playful, she wasn't serious at all. So relax, don't lose your cool" Hearing him May took a few deep breaths calming her anger "Tell her I don't like such jokes!!" She said coldly while entering the car.

Robert sighed in relief and gave Dottie an angry look "You nearly die, you know" To which she just shrugged her shoulders and said "I just told the truth" Both Robert and Kali were puzzled about what she was saying. "I told her the truth, that you are my darling from now," She said

"Is she always like this?" Robert turned to Kali and asked. 

"No. I don't know what happened today to make her say those words" Kali said with confusion. Robert looked at Dottie who still was smiling with an innocent face sighed in defeat 'Let's take care of this shit later'

"Come with me" He said as he entered the car, Kali and Dottie hesitated a bit but soon entered. The atmosphere in the SUV was tense so Robert didn't start talking first but handed the bought lunch to Kali and Dottie while eating his share.

For the next 10 minutes, all of them ate their share with Dottie curiously asking about the car, which looked different from most SUVs she had seen, while Kali tried to hold her back. Robert had a doubt if she had some sickness looking at her childish behaviour.

"So you are telling both these girls are ability users like you?" May asked seriously while looking at both girls to which Robert nodded "Yes just like..."

"Wait, wait. What do you mean by both? Only Kali has superpowers, not me" Dottie interrupted Robert's words, even Kali raised her eyebrows while paying attention to him.

"You have them, Dottie" Robert said seriously "But yours is different from her powers. If your body is enhanced, your muscles and bone density are four times higher than in normal people. You can easily beat a special trained easily with your normal build, if you are trained properly you can easily be considered as a superhuman"

Hearing this all the ladies were surprised, May looked at the blond girl who was smiling foolishly and couldn't think of her as a superhuman at all. "We don't care about that? You said you have a job for us, tell us about this job?" Kali asked seriously while she was shocked in her heart.

The guy she and Dottie know so much about them but they don't know anything about him. "Well... I want you to become her bodyguard" Robert said seriously while pointing at May.

Kali and Dottie were surprised to hear this while May was stunned 'So you were doing this for me, baby?' She thought. "We won't work for free," Kali said.

"10,000 dollars a month, a place to stay, free food, and my guidance to perfect your powers. Although I look like a kid my mind is the most advanced in the world" Robert boasted with pride.

"We acce-" Dottie was lost in the fantasy of so much money but Kali stopped her "Wait we need to talk" Saying she pulled her out. Robert didn't say anything and let them think about this carefully.

"What are you doing Kali?" Dottie asked annoyingly. "Don't you think this is some kind of trap?" Kali asked with uncertainty in her voice.

"No, because if he belongs to the same group of people who kidnap you, they won't even send him here. You yourself have a much better understanding of their nature" Dottie said.

Yes, Kali knew that those people wouldn't let a telepathic person like him out of the facility so easily without protection. She even checked if some people were following her and found no one.

"Kali, I know you are scared by your past but like that old woman said you have to let go of it and embrace the new life. And this can be the start of our new life, so please... if you don't want to go then I will go with you" Dottie said.

Kali looked at Dottie who wanted to go with Robert but as her friend stayed to support her, she sighed and said "Let go and have a deal" Hearing this Dottie hugged her "You are the best" to which Kali smiled.

"So are you coming?" Seeing them entering the SUV, Robert asked. "Yes, but you're going to fulfil all the things you said before" Kali said seriously while Dottie also tried to be serious which failed miserably with her innocent smile.

"Sure, I don't want you to do your job half-heartedly," Robert said jokingly. This brought a smile to Kali's face "SO who are we protecting her from? Is it robber, gangster, cops or mafia?" Dottie asked excitedly while imagining her heroic moment.

"From a humanoid monster" Robert said awkwardly making Kali and Dottie stunned. "I think I didn't hear right,... did I just hear a monster?" Kali asked with confusion.

"Yes you heard me right" Robert said while May nodded to his words.
