Steal my Boy

When Beomgyu got abducted, everyone and their mother were in total panic. The whole city did a search and rescue for a whole week with countless volunteers yet no one ever found even the slightest trace of him. Choi Beomgyu is a 21 year old campus crush who have been within minds at least once by any type of gender in the Capital’s largest Conservatory. Tall, honey-skinned and extremely handsome, this extroverted yet hopelessly romantic and funny individual is the talk of the town ever since he transferred to the Music school after losing interest on the course his parents wanted for him. Everything went smooth for a while, until he attracted the attention of the person who will make him question his life’s decision. Note: Only the main characters descriptions are made to be realistic but the plot, events, places etc. are all fiction. The story would look confusing at first but I’ll reveal answers as chapters go by. Thank you for your patience.

Moment of Clarity

Beomgyu's pov

"I know and I'm grateful for her efforts." I puffed a sigh and glanced at her pained expression. "That's the reason why I gambled with my life to return the favor she did for me against Mi Young."

"That's not what I'm talking about." Soobin gritted his teeth and I can sense so much hatred at the way his fists are shaking.

"Please stop…" Cass's exhausted voice came through but it didn't faze him and ranted about something I have no idea at all.

"Her pain and sufferings, it's always your doing!" He cursed and tears welled in his narrow eyes.

"I literally have no idea what you're talking about!"

Now I'm pissed.

This guy being nice to me back then and him acting in contrast proved that I was right all along. They were just pretending to manipulate me.

"You motherfucking piece of shit! How dare you deny it in front of her! If you actually cared, my sister wouldn't have been abducted and tortured because she was wandering outside alone and depressed!"

"For the love of god shut up!" Cass growled and in an instant, the whole room fell silent. Soobin bit his lower lip and Kai eventually released him from his grip.

I gasped at Cass's rare, teary-eyed face when I caught a glimpse of her holding those emotions so hard. I've always known her to be either indifferent or savage whether she talks to same age range or older than us. Too strong of a personality ever since but apparently she's just as vulnerable like me.

Now I'm wondering what happened to her for Soobin to be this furious. I wanted to know yet I can't even ask. I don't want her to get even more upset.

However, I thought I should apologize for whatever I did to cause her such pain.

At least.

That's when I noticed Taehyun was pressing the nurse call button nonstop and his other hand was covering Cass's lower breast.

She's panting quietly and small beads of sweat glistened on her forehead, which Taehyun gently wiped with his fingers.

I understand the necessity, however, the more he displays his attentiveness to her needs, my blood pressure rise up a notch.

The young male doctor along with the nurse earlier came rushing a minute later, blocking Soobin's outrage before it even formed, as soon as he realized a guy was kind of sexually harassing his sister on his watch.

They quickly brought her back to emergency room and re-stitched her open wound, then scolded us all for causing unnecessary problems.

"You are all idiots! I don't care if you're her relatives! Leave that poor girl alone or I'll call the cops and sue you all for trespassing and endangering the patient's life!" He yelled once he left the operating room after the short surgery and I was genuinely surprised at his concern.

We were all forced to leave and got banned from entering her room till she fully recovers. That was the last time I saw her and I haven't even got the chance to properly say goodbye.

That same day I got discharged and my mom, together with a convoy of three bulletproof suvs picked me up at noon. Taehyun left without us noticing and I'm guessing he did it before Soobin realizes his real identity.

"How are you feeling?"

My mom broke my chain of thoughts with a smiling face as usual. It felt so awkward so I faced sideways and decided to ask something serious.

"Mom I'm really glad you came." I held and imprisoned her hands to make sure she'll have no other option but to answer my questions truthfully.

"Why wouldn't I? You're my boy."

"That's not what I meant."

"Then what?"

"If you know something about Cass's tragic past, now is the time to tell. Why does Soobin says it's all my fault?"

"Beomie…" she sighed again and held both my cheeks as if I had never grown taller than her, "some things need to be kept hidden to prevent more hearts from breaking. In short, what you don't know won't hurt you."

I let out the hardest exasperated sigh I've made since I'm born. It took every bit of my will to not curse at her but it's very tempting at this point.

"Please. Everyone and their mother knows apart from me." I clenched my jaws. "Let's cut to the chase. You know I'll find it out on my own anyway."

Her eyes dilated for a moment but her facial expression remained unconvinced.

"I can handle it." I encouraged her just in case she still trying to dodge the topic. "I feel like it's too unfair for me to live my life to the fullest whilst someone else had suffered on my behalf. Don't you agree?"

She shook her head and turned her head towards the car's window but I still caught her suppressing her tears.

"It's better if you watch the recorded video on that day."
