Chapter 11

While Jial was in meditation and studying the Holocrons, Wyne had gone through several changes. Zilvarth, Suxon, and Sibon had worked together and managed to recruit nearly 70 individuals to the Yautja. Some of these were members of the group that had assisted Jial in overthrowing the other 3 groups but most were lone bounty hunters or small mercenary groups that wanted to be part of a larger power.

Word had gotten spread about how the Black Sun members had left Lok, throwing the planet into chaos. This chaos had actually scared away various pirates, mercenaries, and bounty hunters who were simply looking for a place to hide out or find work. The only ones who remained were those who wanted to vie for power.

The same was also true for the Wyne sector. Even though the Yautja had taken over the town, the other 3 powers were still in the area and most likely going to try and battle them for control of the sector.

Everyone who remained in Yautja was either someone without a ship that took them off-world or those who had decided to throw their hats in with the Yautja.

During these few days, the buildings were reassigned with those closest to the Yautja base being converted into homes for their new members while those that were only there temporarily were forced to stay in a certain section of houses. They were allowed to roam around the town freely or even head out to explore and hunt, but everyone who was not a member of the Yautja was made to stay far away from the defense turrets, the control tower, and any other Yautja facility.

Sidon, Zilvarth, and Suxon were all in charge of maintaining the security and management of Wyne. They created squads, made patroling schedules, and even created salaries for those who joined under them.

Unlike those who were managing the settlement, Boxe was out and about in the barren land of the territory. The female Mandalorian spent her time patrolling, hunting, and killing off anyone from the 3 groups that were also in the area if they were foolish enough to leave their compounds or bases.

Boxe had also conducted several scouting missions, finding the exact locations of each base before she relayed them back to her father.

On her latest patrol, Boxe saw members of the Toxis group moving about in their base. They were the group she watched the most since Jial had promised her his combistick once they were eliminated.  Boxe had been picking off their members for days, scaring them from even leaving their base.

But when she came to watch them on this day, Boxe saw them loading several crates filled with various goods into the last ship they had available.

"Boxe, reporting in. Does anyone copy me?"

"This is the communication tower. We read you," an unfamiliar voice came through the comms. Boxe rolled her eyes at the new person speaking to her. She hated having to deal with people.

"The Toxis seem to be packing up supplies and goods. Looks like they are about to try and leave the planet," Boxe told the person in the communication tower

"Understood. Please hold while I report this to Sir Sidon or Sir Suxon."

"Hurry up! I'm gonna take action soon," Boxe spoke back into her communicator but she got no response. Boxe sighed under her helmet before she lay on the ground and began lightly smacking the side of her helmet with her blaster pistol.

'Kill me. Kill me. Kill me. Kill me. Kill me. Kill...'

"Lady Boxe. We just got in touch with Sir Suxon. He says to continue watching and report back if they leave or if this is just them sending out a supply run. You are not to engage."

Boxe sat up when she heard the words that she dreaded hearing. Every time she wanted to take action, her brother or father told her to be patient and wait. But this time was especially bad. Jial told her that she could only get the combistick if they eliminated the Toxis.

"No! Tell my brother that he needs to either send backup or I will take them out myself. Those are the only options I am giving him!" Boxe screamed her frustrations through the comms. She had grown attached to the combistick and she was not willing to lose it.

"Ma-M-Ma'am, I apologize. I will try to get that request..." the person stuttered, terrified that he would feel the wrath of the Mandalorian but before he could even finish his sentence, he was cut off.

"This is not a request. This is an ultimatum!" Boxe corrected him, not giving him a chance to change her words. She was going to act if she didn't get the answer that she wanted in the next minute.

"Understood. I will pass the message," the person gave up on trying to dissuade her or calm her down. He could only hope that Suxon could stop her.

Barely 30 seconds later, Boxe got her response and her confirmation.

"Sir Suxon says to return to Wyne and report back on your patrol," were the words that came into her helmet

Boxe smirked before she equipped the combistick in her right hand while her blaster pistol was in her right.

"And tell him I said to go fuck himself with his blaster," Boxe responded before cutting off her comms and activating her jetpack.

She flew through the air and over the walls of the base before she started to open fire at the thugs. Before she even landed on the ground, she was already able to take down 4 of the members. The thugs began to return fire but Boxe and the combistick were able to dodge or block all the bolts their way.

When only 1 of the thugs remained, Boxe threw the superheated weapon down toward the last person, bursting through their chest and heating up all the organs within their torso. If the initial attack did not kill them, the heat from the combistick certainly did.

Jial was hovering above his bed with his legs crossed, deep in meditation with the Telos Holocron floating before him. The entire room was bathed in red light from the Holocron's energy. Jial's meditation was interrupted when this message appeared before him. He opened his eyes and scrolled through the contents, surprised that this was done so fast.

'Boxe really wanted my combistick.'

Jial raised an eyebrow at the message before shrugging his shoulders and getting back to his meditation.

Boxe landed on the ground before she ripped the combistick out of the corpse while she began to take note of the various goods that the Toxis had collected.

When Suxon and a squad of Yautja members arrived, they saw Boxe leaning against the wall with a small box tucked under her arm.

"Looks like we came late to the party," Suxon joked but for once, his sister didn't laugh. Instead, she tilted her head toward the sky before flying up. Suxon got the message and flew up with her.

"What are you being so secretive about?" the older brother asked, not sure what was wrong with his sister.

Boxe didn't say anything but instead put the box under her arm between them before opening it up. When he saw the contents of the box, Suxon knew just why his sister was so serious and he couldn't help but feel excited and afraid at the same time.

"Please tell me they were just hoarding those," Suxon begged his sister

"I looked through their systems and copied the information before destroying them. But nope. They found a depot a week ago. Hopefully, it is the only one. But if not..."

"This isn't going to just be a war between some small groups," Suxon finished the sentence. "The entire galaxy will come to Lok and try to get a piece of this pie."

The pair looked at the box of red crystals between them, both hoping that they had found the only source of them. They couldn't afford the war that would arise if word got out.
