Chapter 142: After-Incident Meeting

[Prefsbelt Sector, Yaga System]

(Van: POV)

Seated in Briefing Room 1, aboard the Infinity, I worked to keep my emotions in check as I listened to Komari give a detailed report on the events that took place on Sneeve a week ago.

Alongside Dalinat, Declann, Dooku, who like Komari is attending the meeting via holo-form, and finally the deputy director of alliance military intelligence, Trieze Khushrenada. Who is also attending the meeting via holo-form.

On a more personal note I have no idea how or the why the hell Trieze exists in this universe. When I first learned that he did I was at a loss for words. The same when I discovered his very close friends Lucrezia Noin and Zechs Merquise, or as he is known in this world Zechs Peacecraft, were serving onboard the Infinity directly under Declann.

I really have no kriffing idea how this is possible. Though I can say that none of them are reincarnates like me. That was one of the first things I checked, given their names and appearances. No, they are simply people living their lives in the Star Wars universe, that resemble fictional characters from other franchises in my previous life. A fact which I have come to terms with.

So long as no more of them show up.

Especially if they come from a Gundam universe. Since I definitely don't want a Ribbons Almark or Patrick Zala to have to deal with, and or possibly kill.

Now back to the point.

Komari soon finished giving all of us her report concerning the matter.

Which was good for me. Since if I feel that if I hear the name of that bastard Durge anymore today I might fall entirely to the dark-side for a second.

Though considering what the animal did to Yennali, and what he said to her in regards, that just might happen anyway.

If that bastards want to come at me then he can bring it on. For it will be the last battle he ever fights.

That's a promise.

"Thank you for that captain Komari." Treize spoke. "Your report just now summed up events nicely." He said.

"Yes, they did." Dalinat said. "On that note lieutenant colonel Khushrenada, any luck on tracking down this Durge?"

Treize shook his head. "I'm afraid not vice admiral Killest." Treize replied.

Also yeah, Dalinat was promoted to vice-admiral during these past two years.

While yours truly now holds the rank of major general in the alliance army. That's right, I am now a general.

Which feels oh so good to be.

"Despite our best efforts we have no leads on this Durge. It's as if he's simply just vanished." Treize explained.

"A man like him simply doesn't just vanish colonel Khushrenada." Declann spoke. "Do we really have no leads on his whereabouts."

"Once more I am sorry to say that we do not." Treize replied.

"Well given who and what he is it's no surprise you haven't gotten any leads regarding his whereabouts colonel Khushrenada." I spoke. My words causing everyone in the room to turn their gazes towards me.

"General Sunrider, what do you mean by that?" Treize asked me.

"Well to start off with Durge is over a 1,000 years old." I began. "That symbol on his armor is associated with a former Mandalorian training master who name was Jaing. An Individual who lived during the New Sith Wars." I explained.

"How do you know this?" Treize asked me.

"Commander Fonemys and I are lovers as you all know, but more than that we share what is known as a Force-bond. We are linked together through the Force in a different way than most sentient beings are. I won't go into all the details surrounding the bond, namely because it would take a long time and that is not something all of us have a lot of at the moment, but the gist of it is shortly after her encounter with Durge on Sneeve she communicated it to me through our bond and thanks to this I learned of him before the official report was complete and sent out." I explained.

Finding it absolutely shocking when I did.

Since I knew Durge would come into play eventually, just not so early.

I truly thank the Force that no one other than Aks Moe died on Sneeve by his hands.

"Upon doing so I decided to do my own research into Durge, and as such reached out to various contacts. Namely my friend, and head of my Mandalorian clan, Jango Fett. He in turn looked through Mandalorian records and gave me all the information they contained on Durge. Including the fact he killed a Mand'alor over 100 years ago. He also seems to have an intense hatred and obsession with the Mandalorian people as a whole. On top of all of that he is a member of the Gen'Dai race. An extremely isolationist race with incredibly long life-spans and no exoskeleton. Put simply Den'Dai are just a bunch of muscles and nerve with a brain to direct them." I spoke. "And unless you destroy their brain they'll just keep coming at you."

"Which explains why when Yennali stabbed Durge he just shrugged it off." Komari spoke.

Me nodding at her words. "Yes. Exactly right Komari. Stabbing won't work on Durge. Neither will cutting. In fact he's less dangerous tucked away inside that armor of his." I spoke.

Letting all the information I had just given everyone truly sink in.

"Wow." Dalinat mused. "So this Durge is a seemingly immortal, highly-trained sociopath." She spoke. Her gaze turning to me. "And it looks like he is after you Van."

"Yep. He is." I replied.

Wondering when and where that bastard would come at me.

"I must inform director Devis of this immediately." Treize spoke.

"Yes, you should." I replied. "We should also issue a warning to all members of the Jedaii order, our forces, and our allies. Especially the Mandalorians." I said.

Since there is no telling what Durge will do next.

I'm certain that bastard it insane enough to directly attack Mandalore or Ossus just for a good time.

Well that's not happening on my watch.

Everyone agreed with my words.

Once they did so we discussed several more things, including the political shitstorm that came about from this mess.

The Galactic Republic is starting to place the blame for the death of senator Moe on the alliance, while the alliance is countering saying it is not our fault. Which is the truth.

Though it's not like the Republic cares.

Meaning the friction between our two governments is only getting worse. Which I am sure was the end result of whoever hired Durge to attack that meeting.

My money being on Sidious.

Moving on.

Soon the meeting came to an end.

Once it did I started making my way back towards my room.

My mind trying to think up ways to kill Durge, that didn't involve me throwing him into the sun like Anakin did in the original timeline.

But the more I thought about ways to kill Durge the more my head started to hurt.

So eventually I just decided to stop, and instead assign the task of finding ways to kill Durge to the master of killing pretty much any living thing.

I wonder how cocky Durge will be when he encountered HK-47.

Now that is a fight I would pay to see.
