Chapter 24: Visiting the Attic

Marielle looked from Francie to Clifford for a reaction to what she’d just said.

“Do you actually want to find out what happened to her?” Francie asked with his eyes stretched wide in excitement.

“I had a disturbing dream about her, so I suppose that I sort of owe her? She reached out to me, isn’t that it?” Marielle responded with her hands spread out, palms up. She needed to show her companions that the dancer was helpless.

“So, you feel that you are the only one that can help her?” Clifford asked with a look of concern in his eyes. “Maybe she’s shown herself to a dozen other people as well?” he asked.

“Maybe it’s just a pestering spirit that wants to distract people so that they lose their focus in their dance career,” Francie suggested.

“You mean if it’s not really a former dancer with a problem?” Marielle asked in concern.

“It could be a former dancer with issues. Maybe she feels that she died too soon, now she can’t find peace for her soul,” Francie responded.
