Chapter 18: Francie's Concern

Francie put his phone down on the coffee table and walked over to the fridge for milk.

“Now that’s interesting. What does she want to talk about?” he asked himself.

“Were you talking to Marielle?” his mother asked from where she was sitting behind a sewing machine.

“Yes, but she seems to want to discuss something privately,” Francie responded with a frown while he made his coffee.

“Oh, does she have a problem perhaps?” Megan, his mother asked while she lifted up a garment for inspection.

“I told her that Kiara’s secretively jealous of her dance role. Now it seems as if Kiara also knows about the new show, which is a big secret,” Francie responded.

“Maybe Kiara also has a special dance routine and that’s why she also knows the secret,” Megan commented with her eyes still focused on the dress that she was stitching for her sister, the designer.

“Kiara’s not that skillful, Mom. She can’t do any special routine at the moment,” Francie responded.
