Early reunion

I woke up only to find myself on a bed. Intense pain is coursing through me. It's not as bad as that time when I almost died but this sure hurts a lot.

What happened? Let's try and remember. I was going to the capital. I was with Nora and Masha. We were talking about trivial things when someone dropped down from the sky.

He claimed to be a knight sent by the king to kill me. He introduced himself and did something. That broke the ground and I fell down.

I was dropped from there. So, where am I? Did Nora and Masha get caught up in that as well? No, I told them to stay away. The crack didn't reach them. I checked that. So I must be the only one who fell.

I try to sit up but my body isn't working. Am I paralyzed? I can't move even my neck. This feeling, it's a plaster.

My body has been plastered. So it's not like I can't, I am just stuck.

"Master, are you awake?"

Someone enters my field of view. It's Aera. She is back to her human form again.

"Aera, where am I?"

"In your parent's' house. We are currently in Primis Societas." (Aera)

How did I end up here? Aera is leaning towards me so I can see her. I tell her to take a seat. That must be uncomfortable.

She sits next to me.

"You broke all of your bones. Your spinal cord was severed. Your brain was almost squashed. Your internal organs went splat. How are you alive, master?" (Aera)

"I must have fallen with all the force on a flat surface."

"Yes. And you were shielding a girl and a wolf. I believe you took some of their force as well. Due to you taking some of that force, they didn't die at least. But you were completely gone. It was a miracle that you came back to life." (Aera)

A girl and a wolf? That means Nora and Masha did get caught up in it.

"Are they okay?"

"Better than you. The wolf suffered the least since the girl shielded it. You three fell like a stack. You were at the bottom, the girl was on top of you and then the wolf." (Aera)

That means most of the impact came to me and they just bounced off of me.

However, my coming back to life, Aera being human again means that my powers are back. I can now quickly heal my body and leave for that place as soon as possible.

"You aren't allowed to do that, master." (Aera)

"What?"

"You can't heal yourself with <Spirit > and leave immediately. Your body can't handle the strain anymore. We are sharing your <Spirit > among us so you can heal better." (Aera)

"Is everyone here?"

"They were here since Fiona wanted to see this place. Then you fell down. Me and Aegis got back our <Spirit > so we rescued all of you and came here. You should have seen that scene. Your mother fainted again. Everyone became distressed.

Your treatment was a mayhem. No one had slept for 2 days straight. Currently I am on duty to keep watch over you. You should just go back to sleep." (Aera)

"Sorry about that. I guess I will focus on healing for now."

I close my eyes. But Aera didn't go away. She stayed by my side until I fell asleep.

After Clive fell asleep, Aera leaves the room. He is currently on the second floor. Everyone is downstairs in the lounge.

"Is he awake?" (Aura)

"He fell asleep again. He seems to have recovered mentally." (Aera)

The ones in the lounge were Aera, Aegis, Aura and Fay. Hazel and the others are taking a break.

"He goes to rescue Samantha but comes back all injured and dead and brings two new people." (Fay)

"From what I saw from his memories, that girl is called Nora. He met her after arriving there. They were offered to a dragon as sacrifices by a village. However master killed the dragon and ate it." (Aera)

"He used me as a weapon. I really wanted to help him but his <Spirit > and mana were sealed by something. My powers as a spirit weapon were also sealed." (Aegis)

Aegis sulks and Fay pats her head.

"It's not your fault. In the end, this is Clive we are talking about. He won't die facing a dragon." (Aura)

"Then they both started their journey. That girl is an orphan so there's no one for her in the world. Master let her join him. Soon that wolf or as master called it, Masha joined their group. It was going pretty well. Master was enjoying his journey with them." (Aera)

"Then what went wrong?" (Fay)

"The last thing I saw was a man in a shiny armor cracking the ground to make master fall. His memory is still a bit fuzzy. That's understandable given his whole body was practically recreated using <Spirit >." (Aera)

The air is somber. No matter how nonchalant they may sound, everyone was scared to death when they saw Clive in that state.

"I'd like to greet that knight. He took care of my honey, I have to return the favor to him." (Aura)

"Calm down. This is still too early. We can take our time with that. Let him heal first. We can discuss the next course of action later." (Fay)

Fay calms down a really angry Aura. But she herself is kinda pissed off. Well, anyone would be angry if your loved ones are hurt. But she is putting the situation first. Besides, if everyone wanted to get revenge for Clive, the line would be pretty long.

A short chapter. Might drag out for another couple of chapters.
