Wedding progress

This is happening after Fulson Nendel has dealt with Clive. The entire castle is being decorated. The whole capital is in festive spirit.

Fulson Nendel drops down from the sky and lands on the ground. It is the castle premises.

He requests an audience with his majesty the king. His request is granted. He heads to the audience hall to greet the king.

"Sire, I, Fulson Nendel, have returned from my quest to vanquishing the evil." (Nendel)

"That, I can see. Fulson, you have done an extraordinary job. You deserve thousand praises for that."

The king spoke. He looks similar to Strauss but a bit older. All of them share the similar traits. They all have pale skin, crimson eyes, white hair and that abnormal beauty.

The king is dressed for the meeting and is looking majestic. There is no one else in the room. Fulson had a question. But he couldn't bring himself to ask the king.

"Fulson, you seem to be harboring an inquiry. Ask! Fear not for I am feeling generous."

"With your permission, Sire, why did you not instruct me to kill that barbaric heathen?" (Fulson)

The king smirked as if he was expecting that.

"That barbaric heathen, Clive, has been an obstacle to my goals since his birth. I have tried to eliminate him a number of times already. Every time, I have failed. And he managed to creep his way to this sacred place as well. Which is why I ordered you to get rid of him."

"But sire, choosing an indirect method decreases the credibility. What if he survived the fall?" (Fulson)

"He has survived, Fulson. He has indeed survived that fall. Even I would not go unscathed from a fall like that. However, that heathen has survived. I did not want you to die. That's why I took that stance."

Fulson felt a bit insulted by that. He comes from a long line of knights and he is said to be the strongest knight in the history of this kingdom. As an elite and the said strongest, he does not expect to be defeated by a nobody like Clive.

"I can see the resentment in your eyes, Fulson. But I speak the truth. That man has always managed to survive no matter what I throw at him. He has survived planetary destruction. Can you survive that?"

Fulson thinks. Planetary destruction is an umbrella term. But it refers to the complete decimation of a planet or the life living in it. That would require a lot of skill, strength and luck.

"Exactly. It is as you think. He is extremely lucky. I have tried to manipulate his luck. It didn't work. I have tried to turn people against him. It didn't work.

I have used even the lower level gods. It didn't work. On the contrary, he kept becoming stronger and stronger. He is now strong enough to come here on his own without any trouble. Which is why, just banishing him would do the trick."

Fulson accepted that explanation and took his leave. Yet his heart was unsatisfied.

As a knight, his chivalry does not allow cowardly sneak attacks. But he employed one such means to defeat Clive. He himself is angry with himself.

On his way out, he met Strauss.

"Prince ■■■■■■, how do you do?" (Fulson)

"I have been better. My sister is pretty angry with me."

"That won't do. The wedding is in 5 days. She needs to become ready for the wedding." (Fulson)

"That she does. Were you sent on a mission by father?"

"Yes. His majesty wanted me to get rid of one of the heathens. He was an outlander so I just banished him from this land. Next time, he will not be able to get in." (Fulson)

"I see. That's a relief. We certainly don't want anything unpleasant happening during a festive period."

Strauss takes his leave and Fulson goes his way.

"Well, it's Clive. He'll be back in a jiffy. I'll go and check on my sister."

He goes to Samantha's room. She hasn't left her room since.

"Sister, it's me. I'm entering."

He pushed the door and enters. The entire room is a mess. The curtains are closed but light is coming through the tears. The curtains have been torn apart.

The furnitures are all over the place. The bed is a mess. And on top of that messy bed, sits a depressed and disheveled Samantha.

Her hair is a mess. Her crimson eyes are swollen red from crying. Her clothes are all dirty. She hasn't eaten anything since then.

"You are ruining your beautiful face. How long will you stay here?"

He speaks to her in an apoligetic tone. It is partly his fault that the wedding process has sped up.

"What do you want?"

Her voice is cold. So cold that even he shivered. She is extremely hostile. It would be better to just leave her be.

But he sighed.

"Clive was here."

With that one sentence, she looked at him. Her face brighted a bit. But it soon faded as she realized the gravity of the situation.

"How would Clive be here?"

"Currently I am in exile. I have snuck in here to inform you that Clive will be coming to crash your wedding."

She threw her pillow at him.

"Are you retarded? If Clive comes here, he will be trapped forever."

"It's not my decision. I just informed him that you are in trouble. He came here on his own."

Her eyes started tearing up. But she wiped her tears.

"I planned on killing the groom during the wedding. That way, I could have at least prevented my wedding. Although I would have been executed."

"See, that's more like you. Be ready. Clive will crash your wedding and save you. What will you do after that?"

"What's left for me to do? All Clive can do now is to take the empty throne."

For the first time in many days, Samantha smiles again. Her face is full of hope. She can see the light at the end of the runnel.

"Why did you become so frail and weak anyway? It's not like you. You are more of an amazon than a normal woman."

"Everyone has their moments of weakness. Even I became a bit unstable due to the sudden change. Ever since I saw Clive, I had forgotten everything about my wedding. Your meddling has changed that."

She gives him a scornful look. He laughs wryly.

"I had to check if Clive is strong enough. And he is. But his opponents are quite strong as well."

"Don't worry. I am pretty sure HE will do something about Clive."

She looks optimistic. She can finally escape her fate of getting forced into a marriage. Because this marriage will spell the doom of their kingdom. Everyone can sense it but no one can stop it.

They needed an complete outsider to step in and take the heat. The two siblings clean up the room and start their preparations. But Strauss soon left because he can't be found there.

Samantha looks outside the window and stares into the distance. She will patiently wait for Clive. In the off chance that he fails, she will bring everything down with her.

I haven’t decided on a name for the place yet. But a different point of view for a better understanding.
