A lesson for life or not!

(Hazel POV)

After all these years, master has not changed. Not even a bit. Spouting gloomy nonsense about death and stuff, he is looking satisfied. However he may not know that his wish will not be fulfilled.

In this small log cabin, there are two beds, a table, two chairs, and some cooking utensils. The fireplace has some wood stacked next to it and that's about it. I don't see any clothes or stuff like that.

This is my basic observation. I was too shocked to even notice these. But I took a few deep breaths and calmed down. I reminded myself that master has this habit.

He is seated on a rocking chair which is swaying back and forth. The frosty haired girl, Aylin, that's what master called her, is doing something. I mean, she has a virtual keyboard in front of her but no display.

Suddenly, three cups appeared.

"Let's have a drink. Due to my intestines failing, I can't handle anything too much. This is just plain herb tea. I hope you like it." (Master)

He said and took one cup. Aylin took one and so did I. I take a sip.

It has a gentle taste. Not too sweet but mellow. The flavor leaves a mild aftertaste as well. This is good.

"Master, I know it has been a while but how did you age?"

I think I should start asking one by one.

"Well, you see, this formerly ruined planet was rejuvenated by me. I restructured this entire planet. Got rid of those leeches and yeah, gave it new planet core.

By doing so, I have become the planet spirit while still being a human. That took a toll on me. And since I have separated a part of my soul and created Aylin, it caused even greater strain.

So you can say that my entire being is now keeping this planet alive. Although the creation of an autonomous core is almost done. This will relieve me of my duties and I can get some rest in a while." (Master)

Master calmly explained everything. He actually revived this dead planet. But why did he become a planet spirit? He substituted for a core with his own life and became a living spirit. That's plain madness.

"Master, you know it better than anyone else that you should have created a core first rather than having your life sucked out of you."

"Yeah. I know. It's just that I didn't have the will to live anymore. So I split my soul. That is Aylin, the better half of my soul. We both live here for now. But I will soon retire and Aylin will leave to explore the cosmos." (Master)

He split his soul because he wanted to die. Typical master. I can do nothing but sigh.

We finished our tea. I keep waiting for them to arrive. And there was a knock on the door.

"I'll get it." (Aylin)

She said and opened the door. Master sit up and snapped his fingers. The spatial coordinates changed and the room expanded from inside.

First came Aura then Fay, Eden, Aera, Aegis, Amaryllis and Tiana. They are all staring a hole through master.

"Ladies, take a seat. I know that you have a lot of things to say. But let's calm down first." (Master)

And 8 chairs appeared. They all took their seats.

"I have to say that you haven't changed at all." (Master)

"On the contrary, you have changed quite a lot, honey." (Aura)

"You have become old, papa." (Eden)

Although Eden is not a child anymore, she does call master papa, even now.

"Master, I am sensing something unusual about you. You are not a human anymore." (Aera)

"You answer is half correct. I am a human being. But I have become the core of this planet. By doing so, I am standing in as a living planet spirit too." (Master)

"You are a planet spirit now, master?" (Amaryllis)

"Yes. I have recreated this planet's core. But that core has not formed a consciousness yet. So I am standing in as a spirit too. But since all of you are here, that process is most likely done by now." (Master)

Master stood up.

"I know that you are all getting impatient. So how about we first check the core? Then we all can have a good talk." (Master)

"Fine. We will go along this once. Then it's interrogation time. We will drag everything out of you." (Aura)

Aura was the most affected of us when master disappeared. She might not seem like it but she is quite the devoted wife. That gave her a good scare. By the way, Fay has not uttered a single word since coming here.

Why is she not saying anything? She would always tell us what she was going to do to master after he is found. She is just staring at the floor. She hasn't even looked up once.

Master then snapped his fingers and a hole opened on the floor.

"Let's jump in." (Master)

He jumped right in. So did Aylin. We just looked at each other and I jumped in as well. The hole has a slide which is guiding me. It has a slope. Just enough to accelerate.

And after sliding for a minute, I adjusted my body and prepared for a jump landing. When I landed, I felt no force. Why did I not feel any reverse force?

I look in front. There is a white ball which is hovering in air. It isn't hot or anything but the tremendous amount of energy is felt through and through.

Master and Aylin are standing not too far. I walk to them.

"This here is the core. The birth of a spirit is an auspicious occasion. Let us witness the birth of a spirit." (Master)

He didn't elaborate on the matter of the birth. He just told us to observe. I notice that everyone has already arrived and are standing behind me.

Then the white ball started blinking. It's energy is fluctuating. The rapid change in energy flow is messing with our internal energy flow as well.

This is tough. I tell everyone to block their mana for a moment. It might cause a backlash.

And the white ball started shrinking. It kept descending as well. When it touched the ground, it vanished and a girl emerged. She has black hair.

Hair almost the same as Amaryllis but it's got a depth to it. Like it would swallow you whole. Her body is fragile. Like she would break from a single touch.

And her body is covered with a white one piece. Her eyes have green irises.

"Well, it seems that her birth is complete." (Master)

"Who are you?"

The newborn spirit asked master.

"I am nobody. You don't have to worry about me. But welcome. To your planet. Which you would take care of. Welcome to earth." (Master)

Master still has that bad habit. Not explaning everything which might cause troubles later. We do have to have a good chat with him. Otherwise, all will seem like a waste of time.

This is proving to be quite laborious. I hope the next would be the last of this.
