Spirit Beast Reincarnate

Reincarnated as a Spirit Beast in Douluo Dalu. Expect good grammar and readable English. This is an entirely different story from other fanfics, so if you are expecting Tang San to show up, you're going to wait awhile. Update schedule is very messy to say the least, but I can assure you with a chapter a week. There will be tragedy in this story, I want make sure you know that, it's not that bad, but there will of course be hard fought hardships in this story. The gorgeous picture isn't mine, unfortunately, found it on the Douluo Dalu Fandom.

[Legend of the Yearning Heartbroken Red]

After Bibi Dong secretly entered her bedroom with Qian Renxue and the little feline spirit beast in tow, she immediately sealed the door and put up sound and spy barriers inside the room using her spiritual power.

Walking to her bed, she placed the little feline creature down. She pulled the royal red quilt back and removed the middle pillow and put it aside. Carefully placing her sleeping daughter inside as she brought the quilt and covered her to her belly.

She looked towards the door again; spreading her spiritual sense out a little to check the corridors for any sign of life.

"Fhuu~"

Releasing a sigh, she faced the little feline creature.

It had been staring at her with a curious gaze, following all of her actions.

Then suddenly...

It lunged forward, catching Bibi Dong off guard.

She wasn't expecting the little feline creature to jump at her suddenly, so her body stiffened up.

It snuggled against her stomach as it let out a purr.

Laying on her lap, the spirit beast made itself comfortable as the warmth of her body and natural flowery scent calmed it down.

Bibi Dong took a deep breath as she calmed her racing heart from that jump scare.

Her thoughts were in disarray as it was almost impossible to keep this cute little spirit beast in her home, especially when there were so many Title Douluos around.

But where there is a will, there is a way.

....

Bibi Dong made her way through the halls of the palace as the sound of her footsteps echoed and the scarlet moon gave light to the halls from the seemingly endless windows that lined it.

Soon she walked past a few patrolling guards as they lowered their heads.

As she strolled closer towards the back of the palace, the number of guards decreased, but in return, their strength increased as she got closer to her destination.

Starting from Spirit Ancestors, all the way up to Spirit Emperors.

They all lowered their heads as she passed.

Bibi Dong didn't even spare them a glance as she walked expressionlessly, not too fast but not too slow.

Soon she stopped in front of a glamourous golden double door with six beautiful lifelike angel wings etched onto it. A nine tipped purple gold crown was similarly etched above the angel wings, directly in the center of the 10 meter tall double doors.

The reflective surface of the polished gold and the dazzling white from the wings gave a majestic glow as if it were the golden gates to Eden.

There stood a single man in front of it, but he was no ordinary man.

Da Shan was a rank 89 Spirit Douluo. He had the body of a titan, standing 8 feet tall with herculean muscles. Colossal arms comparable to a bear and tree trunk legs. He wore an open red vest with a couple of buttons on it, and white baggy pants with black martial shoes. He had a mean-looking face that could make a baby cry, with crazy maroon hair slicked back and down his nape. He had small eyes with even smaller dot sized black pupils. Ridiculously thick eyebrows, perfect for his menacing jagged jawline. He was the Demon Dweller of Spirit Hall.

Bibi Dong's body shuddered a little just being in the presence of such a behemoth, but that was to be expected. Da Shan had uncontrollable violent energies that surrounded him, and also his rank being higher than hers contributed a lot to her reacting this way.

She shook the feeling off as she composed herself.

"Da Shan, open the Treasury." Bibi Dong's voice rang out void of emotions as Da Shan placed his massive hands on the double door and gave it a light push.

The grand doors open to reveal a blinding light as the light reflected off of the mountains of gold inside. There was enough gold to swim in it, no problem.

Walking in, Bibi Dong ignored all the meaningless gold and looked for a specific herb.

There was a boundless amount of treasures inside, ranging from gold coins and 1000-year herbs to secret techniques and Immortal Herbs, all collected over many years and passed down from generation to generation.

What she came here for was none other than the Yearning Heartbroken Red.

It is a seemingly common white flower, palm sized, a bit like a tree peony, without leaves, the stalk connecting to a big rock. That stone was completely pitch black with an astonishing weight. On that white flower are a few flecks of red, scarlet red like blood.

Among immortal treasure herbs it's a divine treasure. It also has a legend.

A very long time ago, a youth, quiet and contented, most liked gardening and planting trees, filling his garden with green and blue lotuses and bulbs, thousands of purples and reds. Ordinarily singing to flowers, toasting to the moon, when a flower fell, he would be boundlessly grieved, sweeping up the flower, burying it in the ground, shedding tears again and again. It's said his feelings moved Heaven, and his great love for flowers moved the Heavenly Flower Immortal, who personally descended to the world to marry him, happiness like fish in water need not be mentioned. But unexpectedly the good times didn't last, god learned about their matters, and was furious, saying immortals and the mundane didn't match, ordering Flower Immortal to return to the divine realm. That youth having lost his lover, moaned and groaned in pain all day, depressed, discarding matters of flowers, consequently the walls fell and fences collapsed, flowers and trees withered, the land growing desolate.

One day a white haired old man arrived, telling him that the white tree peony flower in his garden, was his wife's reincarnation, as long as he destroyed the flower, the Flower Immortal would lose her immortality, banishing her to the mundane world to be his wife again, but he couldn't by any means destroy a flower. The words turned into a pure wind and disappeared, and the youth suddenly came to himself, deeply regretting his mean treatment of the blossoms, he again carefully tended to the flowers and plants, even though he deeply loved his wife, he couldn't bear to burn down the tree peony, it was even more cherished than himself, day and night watering the flowers with his tears, the tears stemmed from deep sorrow, and yearning and heartbroken he died, in his final moments, he dripped some blood on the petals, and you see those dark red stains, that is the heart's blood of that youth.

There was only a single Yearning Heartbroken Red within all of Spirit Hall.

Bibi Dong stared at the row of clear glass cloches on top of white pedestals, each containing immortal herbs within.

Her eyes fell upon the one she was here for and walked towards it.

Before she took the cloche off it, she thought about the thing she had read about the herb.

There was once a Supreme Pontiff who had been accepted by the Yearning Heartbroken Red as its master. Before she had consumed it, she was made aware of a certain effect the Yearning Heartbroken Red had on her by sheer luck. It completely masked her aura. She wrote both the method of picking the flower and its effects in a book that has been kept in a library for generations.

Bibi Dong took the glass cloche off, carefully taking the herb and placing the cloche back on the pedestal.

Just as she turned around, her eyes widened as she took a step back, hitting the pedestal.

'shit'

She took too long.

I just want to say Happy New Year's to you all, I hope and wish you the best of luck!

As you can see, I have been practicing the legendary Dao of Cliffhanger. Hopefully, it created some suspense. Have a nice day, and also check out "Winner of Life in Soul Land". It's a hit or miss, but I personally like it.
