She looks around nervously as she bit her lip in anxiousness. Cold sweat starting to form on her forehead but she continues to look around.
"Where is he?" She whispers to herself under her breath.
Looking down to the set of number steadily increasing on the back of her left fist, hope that swell inside her beginning to fade.
Does he not want to meet her?
Does he not want her?
Her slightly squinty blue eyes started to water as her brows scrunched in sadness of the idea and possibility of her own soulmate rejects her. She couldn't even imagines if that will really happen. She don't know if she could still live if that happen. The life she have until this moment will never be the same again. She will crush, crumble to her defeat, like a fragile glass shatter when it meets with the hard floor from a considerably high height. She would shatters.
But then suddenly the number is decreasing, rapidly at that. Heart skips a beat, she stares hole on the moving number on the back of her hand as she tilts and turns her head around, looking and searching for that special one that can both fills her life with thousand happiness or destroys her life with thousand sadness.
"Hey, hurry up!" The driver of the school bus calls for her when she just standing there and looks around.
"Could you wait for a moment?! I'm waiting for a friend!" She yells, trying to fight the loud sound of engine cars and bus on the road. Everyone is rushing to get to work and school.
"Can't wait! Ask your friend to go find cab or something!"
She sighs and looks between the driver and places around her, trying to find hope in looking into his eyes.
When she couldn't find him, she looks back at the bus driver and hesitatingly nods. She looks around one last time, desperate to find him,her significant other, before she steps in the bus in reluctance, hope dims.
"Wait!"
A loud voice of a man calls out just a second before the bus was about to move. She looks at the source of the sound and found a mop of brown hair moving towards them from afar. Her heart thumps against her ribcage. She quickly looks down on the number decreasing on her hand and widens her eyes in astonishment.

A pair of dark eyes meets her blue ones. The moment they make eye contact, the numbers on her wrist start to turn silver and his name on her arm tingles. The soul bond makes her body hums in happiness, the tingles shot straight to her core.
His eyes widen in wonder as he walks closer, as if he was pulled by an invisible rope. She moves to, the same rope tying from her to him.
"Hi, my soulmate." He smiles, looking as nervous as her.
Her cheeks warm up as the people on the bus clap as a congratulation to another pair that found their other half.
"Hi." She replies shyly.
He chuckles nervously. "You're beautiful." He blurts out.
Her eyes widen slightly, looking at him in shock. Feeling embarrassed, he scratches the back of his neck as he quickly changes the topic, "I was worried the bus would leave. No way would I miss meeting my soulmate!"
She chuckles hearing his ridiculous words.
With that, they sit next to each other and starting to get to know one another.
__________
Two orbs of amber flicker to the new couple sitting in front of him. Another people who is lucky enough to finally found their soulmate. Good for them, then.
He looks at the 0 number on the girl's hand, before darting to the boy's. He unconciously checks his own, on the outside of his wrist, before his eyes turn into a darker shade as he desperately scratching at it and trying to get rid of it.
He realize nothing will change upon his doing, thus he stopped.
He hung his head, honey blond locks falling messily on his forehead, covering those spellbinding hues amber orbs.
A lone tear slides down his cheek silently.
The numbers have never change.
They've always been at 0.
He closes his eyes that fill with melancholy, so strong that whoever saw it would shed a tear.
Maybe this is his destiny, to never be bless with a soulmate.
He still remembers, Tuesday 6 Jun 2007, 17:46, the time and day where he lost his soulmate. That day was the most devastating day of his entire life so far. The day his Soulmark hurts like crazy, and the numbers on his wrist, Soulmeet, suddenly decreased hauntingly drastically until at last they turned to 0.
He nearly died, not that he is not already dying now. Our bond was broken, disconnected. He and her.
He was late. If he just found his soulmate sooner, maybe he could prevent her from die. Maybe at least he could be there for her. He just hopes she have someone by her side, someone who could take care of her.
Someone he is not.
