Chapter 1The Beginning

Balance is a delicate thing, even for mortals. Millenniums ago, God made a pact that they won't interfere with mortals and their world.

Year 2020 AD, Apollo the God of sun, music, healing, and disease broke the pact of God. Apollo threw plague to the mortal world. One-tenth of the world perishes until the other Gods notice that something went wrong and the balance of the world was broken.

Year 2022 AD, Hunt for God Apollo has begun to stop the plague. Since the dominion over prophecy is still in the hand of God Apollo and it has been millennia since any God has descended to the mortal world, humanity is still in the dark of what is to come.

Year 2025 AD, Underworld has been in overcapacity, Pluto the God of the underworld and the dead broke the pact of God and descended to the mortal world to find God Apollo to stop the advent of the dead to the underworld.

Year 2030 AD, God Pluto captured God Apollo and shattered his divinity. God Pluto imprisoned Apollo and dominion over disease to the underworld then closed the gate of the underworld. And the beginning of a new age has begun

Ice age has come to earth, the sun is no more, disease is no more, death is not the end, and peace has left us.

Meanwhile, Jupiter, God of sky and thunder and the King of Gods, by his side is Juno, the Queen of Gods and Goddess of childbirth, are having a discussion with Goddess of the earth, Gaea and Goddess of wisdom, art, trade, and strategy, Minerva.

Jupiter is twice as big as everyone else in the room, has a very fit body like a bodybuilder, tanned skin, sharp blue eyes, and his face looks like someone in his mid 20. The only sign of old age is his white hair, long beard, and the ancient aura around him.

Jupiter looked at Gaea intensely "So what is so important that you call for an emergency meeting? Mind you that we can do nothing about human overpopulation."

Gaea is a mature woman with long green hair and a well-developed body. Gaea has a very beautiful face if not for the dark look that she gives Jupiter.

"I need to mind you too, that. I .AM .OLDER .THAN .YOU!!" The whole room shakes and the air feels heavy.

There is thunder flickering around Jupiter's hand when Minerva's young voice resound, "Dad can you please be civil? Let Granny Gaea talk first."

Minerva looks like a girl in her early teen with pearl white skin and twin-tail blond hair. Anyone that looked at her will know that she will be very beautiful when she grows up.

Minerva gives Jupiter an angry face with her cute little face that makes Juno giggle.

"Both of you need to calm down"

Juno's voice sounds like a melody, her motherly figure, calm face, and long brown hair looks very calming and beautiful.

Jupiter's face looks like he has been wronged while Gaea has a light smile. Jupiter clears his throat and nods a little.

Seeing that her father listens to her, Minerva's smile blooms like a flower and she climbs to her father's lap to sit there.

Jupiter's mood improved and he looked at Gaea, "You may talk."

Gaea's face looks very serious, "Apollo died, just like a millennium ago when Sol Ancient God of Sun died. Sun is no more and the Ice age has begun, I tried my best so earth stays on its orbit."

"The good news is his plague has stopped but worse, sickness is no more. Every disease and every sickness is cured."

Everyone in the room knows that Gaea is secretly happy about the plague because it solves human overpopulation, but now that disease and sickness are no more then the human population will go over the top.

Everyone stays silent, the situation is very bad that even Gods are hesitating.

Jupiter is about to talk when a booming sound is heard through the world, which means both mortal and God's realm.

"TEST... Test... hello everyone. Pluto here, your loveable and handsome God of the underworld and the dead," Pluto sounds very happy.

"I have an announcement to make, one is good news and one is bad news. The good news is Apollo, the one you mortal know as God of sun, music, healing, and disease is no more, thanks to the handsome me. The plague that you mortals struggle for a decade is no more, any disease and sickness is no more, thanks to me again," Pluto sounds like he is gloating about his achievement.

"The bad news is your beloved sun is no more. Don't be sad because the benevolent me had shattered Apollo's divinity and scattered it through the world so you weak humans can survive somehow. If you are lucky you may become a demigod or more."

HAHAHAHAHA Pluto laughs happily.

"And one extra piece of news. Underworld is overcapacity so I closed the gate to the underworld, don't take your overpopulation problem to my territory."

"That is all, Bye."

Suddenly the sky is full of dark clouds and thunder "FU.." Jupiter's voice boom but interrupted by an even louder mature woman voice "FUCK YOUUUU!!!!!" while the earthquakes.

GlaringError here! As I have already mentioned in my author review I am restating it here since I am getting tons of comments about it, that I am more of a reader myself than a writer, I made this novel in an attempt to capture my fantasy world residing in my mind into words.. Writing is new for me.. The premise of my novel is inspired by many great works that I have loved over the years. And some elements I have in my novel that are slightly similar to them but it's just the skeleton of it, the real meat of the plot is entirely my own cooking. Some of the influence that is more noticeable is from The Runesmith (By Kuropon), The King's Avatar (By Butterfly Blue) and Shadow Slave (By Guiltythree). I have immense respect for these legends and I can only hope to follow in their footsteps. To all those who comment just by judging the name, at least give it a chance before letting your opinions be known. Thank you.

Disclaimer: I'd received a few complaints from some readers that my MC is not a real villain, and I have to agree; if you're looking for some complete psycho MC who burns random farmer villages down just for fun then don't read. The MC is a ruthless man who does evil things from time to time, but only to his enemies or those he considers to be true scum. He gains no joy from tormenting strangers. Also don't read if you want a story about buying s*x slaves and r*ping them, that doesn't happen in this novel. He will treat the women he wants to be with as if they were normal people, whether they're slaves or not.

The story has a lot of grammatical issues. There was some sentences that could have been worded differently for a better story flow. A few words were misspelled, and transitioning to the next scene is kind of hard to followed. But, every authors is bound to have a lot to a few writing issues. No one is spare! I have never seen an author with a grammar-free story before. With that said, my honest thought is....I'm a big mythology lover! love, love, love it! This story is right up my ally! I like how the author indicated which gods or goddesses is which, and power. But in the long-run it might be harder to remember which god and power they are.The author could make a page, listing them all or remind the reader at the end of each chapters ( this might be a bit much). Another thing is the characters. They were appearing one by one, but for those that were introduce at the beginning beside the gods, it was a bit hard to follow. I would think, for me, is that the pacing was a bit too fast. Especially, the emotional distress that Sol had when he was desperately searching for Anya. A short description about their relationship would be great in supporting his action. I feel like there's more it than just a simple teacher and student relationship. There were a few plot hole that I found to be inconsistent, but the story is still in development , so scratch that. Maybe, there's a plot twist that the author is planning on later. In overall, even thought there are grammatical issues. That could be fix, so there's no need to worry. Beside that the author is doing great! Keep up the good work!
