Skelengel; Tales Of The Boundless One [Not Updating]

When the universe creates a person, they are bestowed with certain traits that we, as mere humans, are aware of. Sportiness, the ability to work with computers, and creativity are all things we may obtain at creation. However, some of those talents extend far past the mortal realm of flesh and blood. They go all the way to your very soul, and these are the ones that we cannot see. These few are destined to become Boundless. And it just so happens that one was designated to die on the fateful day a new god took sight over the earth. This is the tale of Aaron Stone, the once businessman turned planetary traverser. Aided by himself and his potential, he plans to live out his life with peace of mind. However, the universe has it out for him, and it won't let him ever have true peace. However, someone from behind the shadows controls everything, and they have quite a distaste for Aaron Stone. They will try to make his life a living hell. Everything you read here is an account of something going on in the vast universe. Hell, who knows... It may even be YOU who takes his place in the future. Shadow of the Guardian

Alec was just struck with shock. He didn't know how to deal with everything that was going on. First, the person who saved him was a monster, yet he wasn't hostile unless hostility got directed towards him, as seen with the Guardian. Alec also couldn't believe that the Guardian could regenerate. Living after getting murdered? Absolutely crazy!

"Hey, Alec? You ok?" Monument asked, grabbing Alec by the shoulder, trying to rouse him from his semi-lost-in-thought space. Alec was just trying to figure out what to do. The church always said that monsters were human-harming beings who only wished for the destruction of humanity, yet Aaron wasn't like that. Aaron guided him and brought him on the little adventure they were on. The church never lied to its people, so what was going on?!

"Here, let me give you a basic explanation of what I am, so you can make your decision about what you want to do," Aaron suggested, snapping Alec out of his thinking state. He needed as much information as he could get, as he didn't want to regret his decision. "So, I may be a skeleton, but I have the mind of a semi-human. Basically, a transformed human. I see things differently every time I...well...you don't need to know what happens. All I can say is that, theoretically, I'm no different from you. My view of the world isn't cynical. I just want to enjoy my time here, as who knows when some random person is going to try to kill me out of the blue?"

Alec couldn't believe what he was hearing. A monster with the mind of a human? How in the hell was that possible?! Alec began to tense up as he tried to stop himself from asking thousands of questions at once. He relaxed his body when he had prevented himself from asking all the questions and combined them into one question. "How? How do you even exist?"

"Well, that's a reasonable response, I guess," Aaron admitted, putting his hand to the back of his skull. "Honestly, my existence isn't even meant to be. If an event had not happened in my lifetime, I wouldn't be here. It was something that changed my life, maybe for the better or for worse. Now I'm here, and I don't really have much of an option to leave, as I don't feel like getting myself killed today." Alec was astounded by the information he had just received. If not for one event in Aaron's lifetime, he wouldn't be here?! How is that any fair for him?! If he was put in a slightly different situation, he wouldn't be here? How would that work?

"So, now you somewhat know why I'm here. All because of that one encounter, I'm here, with my power boosted to heaven. Honestly, that isn't the most surprising thing, but I won't show you yet. Although, I will say that I have, in theory, more abilities than what I may say." Aaron ominously stated, sending a shiver down Alec and Monument's spine as a dark shape rose from behind Aaron. It resembled the shape of the Lesser Earth Guardian. The shadow readied a fist, prepared to slam down onto Aaron's head with all intents of crushing him.

Aaron lifted up his hand, preparing a counter. The three-dimensional shadow slammed its fists down, and Aaron's arms turned into the black substance. Goo, or slime. The shadow landed its punch, but it couldn't escape. It had come into contact with Aaron's God Eater. It was screwed. Aaron moved the black goo up to its head, covering it from head to toe, but he didn't absorb it. He wanted to use it as an intimidation tactic.

"Now, listen, Shadow of the Guardian. You are just the Guardian, trying to prove the point of revival, aren't you? You can't use any of your powers, so I'm going to tell you this as simply as I can. You might want to consider running away because you've pissed me off enough as it is. You've made me reveal my identity to my travel companion, causing him to doubt his own trust in me. Now, this I find inexcusable, but I'm a decent person, in my eyes, so I'm letting you off with one chance. Run away and never try to fight me again or perish. Those are your two options. There is no third option." Aaron proposed, feeling fear emanate from the shadow. "Never thought that shadows in the third dimension could radiate fear like you do. Well, I bet you're scared shitless, so go."

The black goop retracted from the shadow, almost like it was actually a physical being and not just the shadow of an angry monster. The shadow disappeared as Aaron looked back over towards Alec. Alec was thinking about what he wanted to do with his choices. He looked Aaron in the eyes and said...

Three men in black clothing stood outside of a house. They counted to three, using both their fingers and voices, before calmly walking inside of the building. They didn't need to cause any unnecessary damage to the place. The woman looked at the men in fear as she realised who the men were and who they were affiliated with. She grabbed her child and pushed him towards the back wall in fear, standing in front of him like a wall. "What do you want with me?! I'm telling you, whatever you want, I don't have!" The woman yelled. A man stepped out in front of the other two men in black there, giving off a menacing aura.

"Joseph! What are you doing?! I don't know why you're here, but just leave me alone! I don't have anything that you'd want or even need!" The woman screamed, protecting her child at all costs. "Ms Conway, I'm afraid you have exactly what we're looking for. It isn't your child, and it certainly isn't this place you call home. We're here for one thing, and one thing only. You."
