Skelengel; Tales Of The Boundless One [Not Updating]

When the universe creates a person, they are bestowed with certain traits that we, as mere humans, are aware of. Sportiness, the ability to work with computers, and creativity are all things we may obtain at creation. However, some of those talents extend far past the mortal realm of flesh and blood. They go all the way to your very soul, and these are the ones that we cannot see. These few are destined to become Boundless. And it just so happens that one was designated to die on the fateful day a new god took sight over the earth. This is the tale of Aaron Stone, the once businessman turned planetary traverser. Aided by himself and his potential, he plans to live out his life with peace of mind. However, the universe has it out for him, and it won't let him ever have true peace. However, someone from behind the shadows controls everything, and they have quite a distaste for Aaron Stone. They will try to make his life a living hell. Everything you read here is an account of something going on in the vast universe. Hell, who knows... It may even be YOU who takes his place in the future. [Chapter Length: Above 1k words] [Upload Time: Once a day, if I can. My life has gotten increasingly busy over the past year, so I may have to put novelwriting to the side for a bit. Familiar

"You...you were summoned here by me, right?" The child asked in fear, backing away from Aaron. They were still on the ground, so it was easy to see them moving backwards. "Yes, I was. I was summoned here by this curious ritual that you have prepared. It seems quite rudimentary, but it successfully brought me to your planet." Aaron replied, looking towards the book that was on the ground. "This book is 'To create God and other things', eh?" Aaron asked himself, using Boundless Telekinesis to bring the book to his hands. He took a look at the cover's strange markings and opened the first page, only to quickly close it with a terrified look on his face. "Did...did you summon me here as a familiar?" Aaron asked, scaring the child unintentionally.

"Y...yes! I summoned you here! Please, have mercy!" The child yelled in fear, putting his hands in front of his face to protect himself. Aaron just let out a sigh, not moving from his spot on the floor. "Relax. I'm not going to kill you." Aaron told the kid, who didn't entirely believe him. "You...won't?" He asked incredulously, surprised that he wasn't about to die a quick and painful death. "No. I don't have any reason to kill you. When that blue aura surrounded me, I wasn't doing anything more interesting, so I just decided to let this light envelop me, and here I am." Aaron explained, keeping Soul out of this. He didn't want to scare the kid too much more. "Plus, it'll allow me to experience the culture of different worlds like I'm used to. I find it so interesting how different worlds can be, considering that some are much more into the past than others, while some are carbon copies of each other." Aaron continued, referencing the first two worlds he visited that were not his own. His effects and actions while acting on one were reflected on another, although he didn't understand how.

"Wow." The child responded, curious about what Aaron may have experienced. "What's your name? After all, we can't really talk to each other without knowing what to call each other." The child asked Aaron. "My name is Aaron. Aaron Stone. The regular human turned godly entity that travels between worlds, at your service." Aaron responded, bowing to the kid. He wanted to make good impressions. "Oh...um...I'm Coranth Etral. This book was my last resort on getting a familiar, so you were summoned here." The child named Coranth responded. "Coranth, huh? Well, you've summoned me like a familiar, so try some commands. We have to see if I'm forced into submission or something along those lines." Aaron replied, sitting on the ground. "Order me to stand up or something similar. After all, the rules of summoning a god, or something higher, must be different than a normal one, right?" Aaron contemplated.

"Alright. Aaron, Stand up." Coranth commanded, yet Aaron didn't move a muscle. "I command you to stand up!" Coranth repeated, Aaron as still as a statue. "Huh. So, when it comes to commands, they don't appear to work on me, despite me being your familiar." Aaron commented, standing up willingly. "Well, that's certainly an interesting conclusion. I don't specifically HAVE to follow your commands, but I can if I want to. You summoned a god here, and no reins are on them. You're lucky that I have no penchant for destroying worlds anymore, like the other gods. If another god was here and had free rein, they'd torture everyone here. At least, I know a few that'd do something along those lines." Aaron informed Coranth, who just looked at him in fear. "There are people who'd do such a thing?!" He asked with an incredulous expression, the second time it had happened. Aaron just smiled, his left index finger Corrupting itself and becoming spiked, a trail of Corruption flowing from his left eye.

"Oh, of course. After all, I've destroyed a sole planet by myself in an epic fight. It was against a person that has recently turned to the darker side of life. If you think the stuff you can imagine is twisted, those guys would double, triple, or even make things more torturous ten-fold just because they felt like it. They, no, WE, are cruel creatures. There are certainly some nice gods, but when a certain level of power goes to someone's head, let's just say the results aren't pretty." Aaron told Coranth, scaring him. Soul detached himself from Aaron's body, looking at him somewhat disapprovingly. "Aaron, you won't be able to hide me from him forever, so you might as well get the introductions out of the way," Soul told Aaron, who just looked at Soul with a similar expression, his hand back to normal. "Well, I didn't want to scare him even more than I already had, which would have just been a bit rude of me, no?" Aaron replied before looking back towards Coranth.

"This is Soul. He is the literal manifestation of my emotions, inner structure and being. He is I, and I am him. He used to be the kind of antagonist that I told you about, but he's been changing for the better recently. I threw him out to control my body, and he actually learned how to care about things. However, his new personality, or at least behaviour, came at the cost of one of my old friends turning into something that Soul used to be. What he was was a destructive force of nature." Aaron explained. "It was such a sad occurrence, but at least we have everything sorted out. One of the abilities he got, along with his hatred for ME, tricked him into believing that he was invincible. He tried to destroy a planet of innocent people like I helped Aaron do in the past, but we killed him and were almost killed by them back up in the heavens. Yeah, it wasn't a fun time, let me tell you." Soul finished, the two of them looking at the confused child.

"Basically, you've got people able to destroy planets standing here in front of you." Both of them said at the same time. "Some of the strongest people in the universe."

I'm now writing this much more like an actual novel, with paragraphs and everything...

Wow. Writing in a word processor BEFORE writing into Grammarly upped my game.
