ZAIDE

After a little stroll, the brothers arrived at the empty corridor next to the briefing room their leading officer was supposed to lurk around in, and apparently, they were the first, as there was no one around. In complete silence, the lankier, darker of the two, the older brother named Zaide, shoved his hands down his pockets and leaned against the wall of the room next to them, his bright green eyes glancing around the place. They had been told that their team would consist of two more people, including a certain Commander Kamura, as the officer had called him. Neither of them knew whoever the hell this was and why there was so much emphasis on his surname, but they both just assumed that the guy was a big shot within the Darkwolf ranks. Not like they cared. Reputation of others mattered very little to them; it was a person's worth that defined whether someone was honorable or not. About three minutes had passed, and Orin let out a sigh. "It's all a little too.. glamorous, don't you think?" the blonde-furred Kiandros mumbled, shrugging. "The halls, the ships, the weapons, the people.. it seems all so-.. I don't know, unitary? I mean, they're a militaristic faction, I get that, but it just feels like we stepped into a new wave war movie."

"Tssk," the dark-brown male scoffed, crossing his athletically muscular arms. "Y'know 'ow the plot goes 'n those awful flicks. Folks ge'h killed, 'n the 'eroes 'o the story walk away with the babes.."He teasingly gave his half-brother a nudge. "At least they've go'h free weapons, ain't gonna pay t'ose meself." Another no-named officer passed by, and Zaide pinched his eyes, clearly displeased. "No'h for t'em, anyway." But that was when the door swung open and a large male Darkwolf appeared, clad in shiny armor and with a fur as unnaturally colored as a robot's paint job. Orin was immediately impressed by the size and stoic radiance of the thing, though his sibling kept a straight, mildly sarcastic face, merely flicking an ear when he asked them whether they were good to go. "Yes sir! I'm Private Orin Vkerrion, at your service!" Oh for hell's sake.. now the canine surely hoped that another unlucky recruit was to join them soon, because otherwise, the service would last ages.
