STRANGE

After Olivia left, the whole space became quiet and comfortable just like it was before she presented herself.

Kamlyn was already done with her meal, she was extremely satisfied. The food just hit the right places and gave the satisfaction she needed. Though she was distracted by the little display which unfolded between Ethan and Olivia. She wasn't close enough to hear what they were saying, but she could tell that they were having an argument or something like that.

Maybe the guest was annoyed by Ethan, because she doesn't look like a type to offend someone. From her visuals she looks like a sweet angel and a nice young lady. They really do look good together, she really did contrast to Ethan's cold and void attitude, just like fire and ice to equate balance. What if they were in a relationship already?

Her thoughts kept advancing widely. She wasn't aware that her eyes were on him while she was lost in her strain of thoughts. The moment she realized was when his eyes met hers.

Her eyes widen slowly before she blinked hard, she realized she was caught staring at, quickly she moved her gaze away. Her heart was suddenly thumping loud against her ribcage. Was he still looking? she mentally asked herself while darting her eyes anywhere else except him.

Everywhere just felt stucked up, she felt uncomfortable. She could still feel his eyes on her, Why is he still looking? She mentally screamed.

She slowly raised her head again to confirm if truly he was staring at her. She wasn't proved wrong when she met the intensity of those grey orbs fixed steadily on her.

This time, her lips were slightly parted, the way he looked at her was enough to chill her bones to the core.

He wasn't frightening or terrifying, he was just.... just, she couldn't explain. She knew he was doing it again. What transpired in the car, if she could break away from that one then it seems like this is gonna be part two of it, she's not sure she can escape this one, though what it was bringing up she couldn't decipher. She didn't know what this was leading to. But she wasn't sure if she could break away from this daze she was held in.

He spoke up, his eyes not leaving hers for a second. "You are done eating."

This wasn't the first time he spoke to her, but now it sounds different, she couldn't detect the difference though, she was just lost. It took a while before she realized he had just said something. She frantically bobbed her head responding to his words of 15 seconds ago.

Ethan instantly started moving closer when he got her reaction. He was in no rush as if he was counting his steps.

His slow strides made her eyes widen more, she gulped down what ever that was stuck in her throat. She was seated and had no way to move back to, standing suddenly will look weird and questionable so she decided to remain where she was.

She was feeling so strange, she haven't felt like this before this were all foreign to her, she couldn't point out what was going wrong with her.

After like forever, he was few metres away from her, She raised her eyes up to be able to look him in the face.

"Will you be okay here while step out for a meeting?" He asked her, his hands in his trouser pocket making him look unapproachable.

'Is he asking me?' She muled. She slowly nodded as a response, she couldn't possibly tell him to stay could she, and besides she needs some space, she need to find out what her problem is.

Ethan raised his wrist checking the time on the watch, it was left with two minutes.

He looked back to her. "If you want to have rest you can use the room by the corner over there, I'll be leaving now. I'll be back to take you home later." He said to her.

This was the Longest sentence he had ever said to her, his deep and masculine voice was so addictive to listen to, too bad he rarely speaks, a man stingy with words. That was best to be said in his case.

She nodded in understanding to what he said.

After that he casted her one more glance before he turned around and left, closing the door softly.

After he had gone, she thought she can now finally have a space to breathe. This isn't real!

she inwardly thought before her gaze turned to the room which he pointed to earlier.
