Chapter 1

••••••••••••••

Dalia's POV

••••••••••••••

"Dalia!!!".

I snapped open my eyes, reached for my rounded glasses and let out an unladylike yawn.

"What the do you want?" I asked still laying in bed. It's not past seven yet.

"Aren't you going to the interview today?" Thalia asked while frying some eggs.

"Holy cow!, I forgot," I shouted and dashed out of bed, checking the time which says I have an hour left.

Ciao fellas, the name's Dalia or Dali for short and the lady shouting from the kitchen is Thalia, ma best friend and pal, we live together in the most crappiest apartment in the equally crappy apartment block and we are the Power Ladies who don't give a damn about shit.

Have you ever been in a situation where you are dared to do something and when you do it, you end up regretting it? Well, That's the situation I am...

"Dee, stop talking to whoever it is you are talking to," she shouted yet again.

"Ok ma'am" I replied sarcastically and marched into the bathroom. After taking my bath, I dried my hair, tied it into a messy bun and did my makeup before putting on my business attire.

"Hey Lia, what's for breakfast?" I asked leaving my room but not before throwing a dart at his picture that was hanging from my dartboard.

"We have toast, pancakes and croissants of course" Thalia chirped and gave me the croissants she packed for my lunch.

"Awww, thank you, that's why I love you, muah," I gushed sending her a flying kiss and took the packed croissants, grabbed my keys and rushed out the door.

My motto was: A croissant a day, keep the anger away.

"Why won't they repair the elevator for emergencies like this?" I grumbled and took the stairs.

On reaching Betsy (my car), I got inside and drove to the company. Silvetti holdings corporations, a company that is referred to as the heart of the economy and hardest to get a job from.

I sighed nervously. "You are a power lady, get in there and show' em what u got," I encouraged myself and walked in. "Wow, this is fantastic," I mumbled and walked up to the receptionist.

"Hello Miss, I am here for an interview" I politely said and scanned everywhere, businessmen and woman walking up and down briskly.

"Are you Dalia Banks?" the receptionist asked while typing her computer. I nodded and she asked me to follow her, we went up to the last floor and followed her to where looked like an office.

"Go in and sit with the rest candidates please", she said politely and walked away.

Like and comment.
