Ginny blinked slowly, the room seemed foreign to her. Everything looked white and he knew very well that it was not one of the rooms of his apartment.
"Where am I? Am I dead? What about my daughter and my company?" Ginny seemed to be talking to herself.
"What are you saying? Wake up!" Ivanka who had been beside the bed shook Ginny's body gently.
"I'm still alive?" Ginny asked, looking at Ivanka's face.
"Oh, my poor Ginny . . . really, you thought you were dead? When the crazy Dave actually left you?"
"I was dreaming right? Dave didn't really cheat and leave me?" Ginny was still acting as if what she was dealing with right now was just a dream. He still denies the fact that at this moment his life seems to be falling apart.
"Remember, Fiona needs you more at this time. Yes, even though you really need a lot of rest," said Ivanka quietly.
Ginny was silent, she changed her posture and started looking around the room again. He realized that now he was in a hospital room.
"He really isn't here? What I'm having isn't a dream?" Ginny asked.
"You passed out and Fiona looked helpless crying next to you. Luckily I came at the right time," said Ivanka.
"So you saw the woman come out of my apartment with Dave?" Ginny asked as she covered her face with her palms.
"Sure. But I don't think it's important for us to talk about it right now. Um... I mean it's important but not as important as your current mental and physical health and Fiona's, of course." said Ivanka firmly
Ginny was silent, she didn't respond to what Ivanka had just said to her. Her mind seemed to wander thinking about what had just happened to her at this time. Has she been giving Dave less happiness so far that Dave is being that rude to her?
"Stop thinking that you don't bring happiness to that person," said Ivanka. "Well, it shows on your face," she continued.
"Thank God." Ginny said as she breathed a long sigh of relief. "But... wait a minute! What did you say earlier? You're going to be Fiona's babysitter?" Ginny looks shocked. "No, don't do that. I can take Fiona to the office and I can leave it to you if I have an important meeting. But not all the time," Ginny said again.
Ivanka just chuckled when she heard ginny say that. he knew full well that ginny wouldn't be able to focus on her work if she had to babysit Fiona and do her office work at the same time.
"Focus on rebuilding The Royal's image and you can pay me later," Ivanka said casually. "I know what you're thinking. You're thinking about how to pay my wages, aren't you?" she continued, laughing.
"Seriously, Iv ... you were even my personal assistant, my secretary ... and now you've turned into a nanny? This isn't your job," Ginny still felt bad about the suggestion Ivanka mentioned.
"Enough you entrust Fiona to me and do your job," said Ivanka. "All you need to do is fix The Royal's image and make Dave regret making you like this,"
For the umpteenth time Ginny was silent. There was some truth to what Ivanka was suggesting to her at this point. If she works and brings Fiona to the office, of course it will be a hassle for her and she will never be able to focus on doing his work.
"OK, I'll do what you suggest. But, are you okay looking after Fiona? I'm afraid it will really bother you," Ginny said worriedly.
"Don't worry, everything will be fine. Fiona is a smart child and also not a bother at all," said Ivanka with a face full of sympathy. "You know, one thing you need to do right now, stop blaming yourself for what happened to you. If a lot of people don't like you and leave you after what you've sacrificed for them, then it's not your fault. Remember!" Ivanka said with a tone full of emphasis.
"Do not worry." Ginny answered with a faint smile. The smile she was forcing so Ivanka wouldn't worry about her.
In fact it took more than 1 day for Ginny to rest in the hospital. However, The Royal's still unstable condition and the arrival of divorce papers from Dave made Ginny decide to leave the hospital early.
"You want me to sign it now?" Ginny asked Dave over the phone.
"Of course, I don't think that's something you need to ask again, is it?" said Dave coldly.
"And Fiona will live with me, then I hope you don't ask me to share the property," said Ginny. "You have nothing to carry with you but your worthless pride," she continued sharply.
"Besides, you have fallen into poverty, what treasure should I ask of you," said Dave arrogantly.
"It's good that you understand. Your lawyer can take the divorce papers I signed this afternoon," Ginny said flatly. For him, Dave's betrayal was something he couldn't forgive at all. Despite that, he repeatedly convinced himself that the cause of everything was because he couldn't provide anything better for Dave.
"Are you ready to go to the office?" Ivanka asked from a distance. He had just arrived at Ginny's apartment.
"Sure," said Ginny. "After I signed all of this," she continued, showing the divorce papers that Dave had sent him.
"Ouch! Dave are you still there? I haven't hung up and you must have heard everything, that even Ivanka knew that we were going to divorce," Ginny said sarcastically and hung up the phone.
"Be strong," Ivanka said quietly.
"Sure," said Ginny, signing all the divorce papers with trembling hands.
"Where's Fiona? I don't have anyone here and she doesn't have a nanny anymore. Who did you leave Fiona with?" Ginny asked without saying anything about Dave.
"I asked for help from the previous nanny to take care of Fiona for 1 day. The rest I will be Fiona's nanny," Ivanka said.
