ACCEPTANCE

"Yes...?" I stared at her in confusion.

"Yes, I'll move in with you." My eyes widened in shock and she giggled.

"Are you sure because I don't want to rush you-" she cut me off by jumping into my arms.

"I'm sure. Yes, it's scary but I believe this is where I belong." She said, her voice muffled by my shoulder. Tears welled in my eyes and I jumped to my feet, spinning her around. She started laughing.

"YES!" I yelled. She pulled back as I set her down and stared at me with a smile on her face.

   Suddenly there was an ear piercing scream outside and we both jumped. She looked at me in fear and took off out the door with me following close behind her. We burst through the front door and froze.

    Standing in the clearing, there was a giant creature, holding up August by her throat and snarling in her face. It was over 8 feet tall with a tail, horns and red skin.

    "WHERE IS SHE?!" It screeched in her face, tightening his grip on August. I looked over to see Angel's face full of fear. I watched as her face morphed into a furious expression and the air around her started to sizzle.

  "YOU LET GO OF HER THIS INSTANT!" She yelled, her voice held so much authority that even I was forced to my knees. The beast looked over and dropped August, causing her to fall to the ground, coughing hard. It walked over to Angel, stopping a few feet from her and bowing.

   "MY PRINCESS. YOUR FATHER DEMANDS YOUR PRESENCE."

   "You expect me to listen to you after you hurt my FRIEND?! YOU DO NOT TOUCH MY FAMILY OR MY PACK!!" She screamed. She started levitating and suddenly everyone was blinded by a bright light. Blinking my eyes rapidly, I looked up and was stunned.

   Angel had shifted into her demon. Long black hair floated around her, seemingly carried by wind. Her skin had turned a dark red and her eyes shone violet. She had giant black wings spread out behind her. I watched in awe as she glared at the beast and pointed a sharp claw at it.

"You will die for this." With that she flew forward, grabbing the beasts neck and lifted it off the ground, digging her sharp nails into its flesh.

"Give a message to my father..." she whispered, even though we could all still hear her.

"If he ever hurts my family, he will pay with his life.." Then she tore the demon in half and dropped it onto the ground. She smirked, showing off sharp teeth, before she lowered herself back to the ground. We all watched at the beasts body slowly turned into black ash and seeped into the ground, leaving no trace of it being there.

   Jezebeth walked gracefully to August, holding out her hand to help her up.

"Are you alright?" She took her hand, pulling herself up and nodded.

"Thank you, Jezebeth." Jezebeth nodded, and turned towards me.

"Hello my mate." She said, walking over to me. I smiled.

"Hello Jezebelle. Nice to finally meet you." She put her arms around my neck and kissed my lips softly.

"Likewise mate." She closed her eyes and she shifted back to Angel. Her eyes opened and she blushed, pulling away slightly.

    Suddenly the crowd erupted in cheers and we jumped at the sudden noise. She turned towards them and smiled shyly.

   "Well looks like they accept you." I said to her and grinned. She smiled back, her eyes sparkling with joy. Her parents walked up to us and pulled her into a hug.

    "We are so proud of you honey." Her mom said as she hugged her tightly.

   "Thanks mom." Angel said as she hugged her back. I cleared my throat, gaining their attention.

   "I hope you don't mind, but Angel has agreed to move into the pack house." Her mom looked at me then at Angel. 

  "Finally." She said and laughed. Angel looked shocked.

   "You're okay with it?" Her mom nodded.

    "Honestly expected it sooner. Mates typically move in together as soon as they meet." Her mom said and hugged her again.

   "Oh." Angel whispered.

    "We can get your stuff tonight if you want." I suggested and took her hand. She nodded and smiled. 

   "We can do that."

   "Great. Let's go then."
