The Invite

(Leon's POV)

After the fight that broke out in the cafeteria, I knew what I needed to do. Vanessa might have been an old fling and she definitely made sure to remind me of it telling me that I would come crawling back sooner or later. Knowing full well that I had only approached her initially to get intel and to make sure the treaty my father has with her pack is still intact since she's the beta's daughter. My father had heard rumors about some of the pack members trying to stir up trouble in our territory, knowing I went to school with a few of the pack pups, I wanted to prove myself to him and his cohorts.

"Did you see what she did to me, Lelekins? How could you defend her?" She yells, I roll my eyes at her. 'God's I hate that nickname!' I hear my dragon Maxton grumble.

"I've told you over and over not to call me that." Already having had enough of her dramatics I grab her and her sidekick by the arm and started heading towards the office. A little while later I found myself in the locker room, I hadn't realized how much the entire situation really affected me or my dragon. I hopped in one of the showers trying to cool off before I ended up burning the school down right in front of her and possibly…

I shake my head under the cold water to wash away the thoughts of the possible danger that could have occured. Playing the fight over in my head I find myself laughing out of pride with how she handled herself. Mia has definitely become stronger compared to her past lives if she can fight that well already. I wonder how much she remembers if she remembers anything at all…

<A few days later>

(Mia's POV)

"YAS!! Finally the weekend is here!!" Brittany jumps for glee laughing as we head to our cars. I just laughed with her, aside from the incident with Vanessa, this week has been a pretty good week. Heck since then anytime I did see her she's been following Monroe around like some love sick puppy and not in a cute way. It almost seemed like they were arguing each time I saw them together. Are they dating? Could that be why she seems so… chaotic towards any girl who tries to even talk with him?

"HEY! Mia, wait up!" I turn to see Sarah run up to us with a card in her hand.

"Hey Sarah what's up?" I ask, throwing my bag into the backseat of my jeep.

"I was wondering if both of you were possibly free Saturday. I'm throwing a party and wanted to see if you wanted to come? Everyone will be there! Plus free food and drinks there" She says sheepishly.

" I'll have to think about it, Wilson and I are going to be studying together that day as it is so I don't know if I'll be able to make it..." I lied a little, it is true Wilson and I are getting together Saturday to study at my place, but that'll be around mourning till the afternoon, but if everyone is there then that means Wilson will be there. Ever since that moment we had in the hallway I've been too nervous to even look at him. I'm nervous as it is just thinking about studying together tomorrow, but I really need help with math.

"Ah okay... well I hope you can, my number is on the back so just let me know.." She says while looking down towards the ground. She starts to head back towards the building before turning around again, walking over and handing me another envelope with Wilson's name on it. "Would you mind giving this to Will when you see him tomorrow?"

"Uu-uh sure.." I answer, taking the letter our hands brush against each other, then everything goes black before suddenly I'm at some sort of party. 'What the...' I thought 'How is this possible? One minute I'm in the school parking lot then the next I'm suddenly at Sarah's party?' I look around seeing the entire school dancing and drinking around a pool when I see Sarah approach Wilson. She was blushing as red as a tomato, wearing an adorable sundress over her swimsuit, her hands clasped over her chest. 'Wait does she have a crush on Wilson? I mean I don't blame her, he is one of the hottest guys at school! Why didn't she tell me?'

I watch intensely waiting to see what happens next, my heart breaking as I see her confessing her feelings to him, but before I know it I'm being pushed into the pool by some drunk guy. The second that happens I'm back in the parking lot with EVERYONE staring at me and Brittany shaking my shoulders. "Hey! Hello girl, wake up! Are you okay?"

"W-what just happened?" I stutter, putting my hand to my head as a cloud of dizziness washes over me. I feel strong hands gently grab hold of my arms to steady me causing sparks to tingle up my spine, I turn to see that it's Leon! What was he doing here, let alone helping me?

"Take it easy, come on I'll drive you home." He says softly ushering me towards his car but not before grabbing my keys and tossing them to someone behind us. "Hey Flipper, follow behind us in her car!"

"On it, lizard breath, try not to drive so recklessly!" I hear Wilson reply as the car door shuts, earning a snarl from Leon as he walks around to the drivers side after helping me into the car.

"Here put in your address before you pass out." He hands me his phone and I type it in. The second I hand it back to him everything goes black again...
