(Mia's POV)
Wilson opens the door for me as we step inside the principal's office greeted by a smug look from Vanessa and the other girl who was still covered in food. Leon, who was leaning against the wall by the principal' s desk, gives a low snarl at them in warning, causing them to jump slightly, lowering their heads and crossing their arms.
"Ah thank you for joining us- oh Mr. Gram why are you here?" The principal, Mr. Brimble, questions.
"I am simply here as a witness and I am also acting as Mia's tour guide to her next class, Mr. B" Wilson explains calmly. I take a seat in the remaining chair while Wilson stands by me leaning against the arm of the chair and gently putting a hand on my shoulder causing a tingling of sparks to dance across my skin.
"Yes of course... Perfect! the more insight I have on the situation the better!" the principle exclaims maybe a little too eagerly in an attempt to lighten the mood. "Right then, Ms. Robinson I would like to hear your side of the story if you would be so kind."
I clear my throat and explain what had happened in the cafeteria without missing a beat. Of course I told him it wasn't my intention to get food all over their uniforms and that I simply wanted to stop them from pouring the milk onto Sarah's head.
"That's a down right lie-!" Vanessa argues before the principal cuts her off.
"Mr. Gram, Mr. Monroe, is this true?" Mr. B asks, the boys look at each other both nodding in agreement before responding.
"We had just entered the cafeteria from the gym when we saw what was going on..." Wilson begins.
"And despite being more clumsy than I think she even knows we did see her try to block them from further harming Sarah." Leon finishes, I look between the two in amusement from what I've seen in our classes together so far they have not once gotten along especially agree on something. Looking over at the girls both of them had their mouths dropped to the floor.
The principle clears his throat, "Well then that is all I need to hear and going off the fact that Ms. Robinson is sporting a ripening black eye, Ms. Cordel and Ms. Samson the both of you will be suspended for two weeks for not only fighting but also bullying on school grounds both of you stay here I will call your parents now as for you three you may go. But, Ms. Robinson, I am letting you off with a warning to be careful next time and report to a faculty member instead of playing the hero, am I clear?"
"Yes, Mr. B I understand." I nod.
"Good now you three get to class and the secretary will write you all notes." We walk out of his office and pick up our notes from the desk, as Leon reaches for his note I notice his elbow shine just a bit and even look a bit red as if it were bleeding.
"Leon are you alright your elbow looks like it's bleeding?" I wonder if maybe he hit it during gym class or something. He looks down, his face going pale when he sees it.
"I uh yeah I'm fine it's nothing- I fell during gym class and I- I'll be right back, see you in class!" Leon mutters dashing off in a hurry.
"Wait I... didn't thank you yet..." I tried to holler after him but he was already long gone.
"Well shit, I hope he's okay..." I say hearing a low chuckle coming from behind me, I jump a bit and turn only to remember Wilson was still there, his eyes flashed a deep green then back to blue. 'Why is he laughing? Do they really dislike each other that much?' I thought. " Thank you for helping me Wilson..."
'Why do I feel so nervous around him all of the sudden, I feel like a little kid. What's with these guys?'
"Sorry I don't mean to laugh, I just.. He never acts like this especially at home and he made me realize something…" He scratches the back of his head, seeming a little embarrassed.
"Oh are you brothers?" I ask surprised, but, at the same time it would explain a bit of why things are so weird between them.
"No, not exactly. I'm not originally from here and given our family's relationship with each other, his father suggested I stay with them for the time being…" Trailing off I notice he's stopped walking, deep in thought.
"So you're like an exchange student? It must be tough being so far away from your family, you must miss them a lot…" Not gaining a response I reach out grabbing his hand to hopefully bring him back to reality. When I do that my eyes lose focus and go dark, the second I can see again he's pushing me up against the lockers.
"What the- Hey! What are you doing!" I start to yell at Wilson as he pins me to the lockers with his body, sending immense sparks all over me. His nose nuzzles into the side of my neck. My heart is pounding against my chest, I try to wriggle free from under him, but he holds tightly onto me.
"Mia? Are you okay?" He whispers, snapping back to reality. I realized we were still just outside the principal's office and he was staring into my eyes with a concerned yet curious look on his face.
"Uh.. yeah, I'm alright. I guess I got hit harder than I thought." I joke, receiving a low dry laugh from him as he lifts his head to look at me. He gently touches the bruise with a single finger causing me to wince a bit.
"Here, let's get you to the nurse first then I'll show you to your next class." He laughs, stepping away from me to take me to see the nurse, joking around the whole way there.
