Chapter 1 - Lost

Two figures walked throughout a small valley. In the dangerous wilderness, where a pokemon could snap your neck in half with just one bite.

A man trudged with steady steps as a woman skipped alongside him, humming some kind of song.

Harmless at first glance.

Surrounded by pokemon that could almost fight Gods one on one.

Anything that got close vanished. No disturbance or any soul to know their fate.

"Do you think we'll find it? I wonder if it's actually the strongest in all timelines, like Dialga said." The woman asked.

"Maybe." The man responded as he titled his cap.

Time seemed to have no effect on him or her. Not long after, they found their target.

An eerie cave. It couldn't be described, only someone there could feel it.

Even the voice inside his head told him to go away. Or rather, it wished for him to leave since he got here.

"Come on, let's go!" The woman said and pulled him in.

With a light throw, a pokemon appeared and lit up the cave. A place filled with murals appeared before them.

Red looked at them and threw out a couple of his pokemon.

He felt the faint pressure coming from the cave further ahead, something that might defeat even the God of Death might be laying there.

The timeline that Dialga refused to approach. One where all mortal legendaries perished.

That didn't deter them, though.

The further they walked inside, the wider the cave turned out to be.

From a small entrance to a place larger than a stadium.

Walls began to shake. 'It' already detected their presence.

"Prey." A hollow sound entered their minds.

Bloodthirsty, something they almost never felt from any pokemon. No matter how vile it was.

They found themselves in a very large cave. In the middle of it, stood a single pokemon.

Pink with a sort of tail on its head the size of its body.

It looked synthetic, unnatural.

"There's actually a mewtwo Y?!" said the woman in surprise.

The pokemon stopped for a second and tilted its head.

"Mewtwo Y? I like it." It said through telepathy.

"But it won't save you."

An electric ball three times the regular size appeared in almost an instant.

BOOOOOM

Dust swept throughout the place.

Between mewtwo and them stood a giant. Nidoking, ground type, that should have been immune.

It had scorching marks on its body.

"What?!" the woman exclaimed. Red didn't waste any more time.

Dozens of pokemon appeared in a blink of an eye.

"Psychic, boost A, Volley A, B, C and D, E defend." He said in one breath.

With just a few commands. Dark, bug and ghost attacks appeared right before mewtwo Y.

Synchronised, another volley appeared, with some attacks much more powerful than ever before.

Mewtwo didn't even flinch as the explosion impacted the cave walls dozens of metres away.

Pink barrier separated the cave as if the world didn't belong there. No attack even ruffled the stones behind the barrier.

"Boost Aerodactyl, max stats." Red said and let others barrage the barrier.

The woman also let out her own pokemon out. Compared to Red, her call outs remained specific and addressed pokemon one by one.

"Espeon, power swap." She said.

Before Espeon could even react. A white barrier appeared right behind the pink one.

"Destroy the protect." Red said as she nodded.

The pink barrier had long lost its luster as it shattered within seconds.

The now mega Aerodactyl felt a rush in its body. Power to shatter mountains with one swipe.

"Giga impact." Red said as an elegant figure appeared before him and used protect.

The sound barrier broke multiple times as the barrier invalidated the impact.

Just then the protect finally got destroyed.

Like a rail gun. The mega Aerodactyl pierced through the cave and broke thousands of tons of rocks and metals.

With mewtwo at the epicentre of the attack.

"That should do it~." She said with a grin.

Although they couldn't multiply the attack thousands of times. It had already achieved the realm of hundreds of times the original attack.

Without the enemy having lowered stats and being at a type disadvantage.

That already equalled the maximum power load mega Aerodactyl could endure.

In time, the ground and rock type pokemon temporarily stabilised the crumbling cave.

They retrieved the pokemon that couldn't move fast.

With the cave crumbling even underneath the support of endless pillars and support, they teleported out.

"Well, that was fun." said a distorted voice through telepathy.

Instead of Red's pokemon. Mewtwo Y floated in the air with Aerodactyl under its psychic move.

Blood quietly dripped from hundreds of metres.

Sweat poured out as adrenaline took over. Red revealed his belt and arm bands.

Like seeds, dozens of pokeballs flew out. More than a dozen followed after his pokemon.

This time, though. Legendaries appeared in the mix.

Tyranitar the size of a bus. Dragonite and other pseudo legendaries.

His commands flew out as massive power erupted from them all. This time the mewtwo wasn't waiting.

It threw the corpse of the Aerodactyl to the ground and waved its hand.

The impossible happened.

Without clashing and losing, control over energies inside its body.

Ghost ball, energy ball, electro ball, aura sphere.

All four appeared in the sky. Each the size of a bus.

Dozens of protects and light screens appeared in the sky, but the attacks continued on.

Hyper beams, fire blasts, and more fought back, to no avail.

When the aura sphere lost its power. Three more continued on.

Rocks appeared to be paper before them. In five seconds, it travelled straight near them.

An explosion encased the pokemon. With Alakazam and Gardevoir saving their trainers milliseconds before certain death.

They didn't get out scot free. No one did.

The battlefield cleared itself as a quarter of the weaker pokemon disappeared.

Some lacked their limbs, others barely breathed.

It looked like three nuclear bombs exploded in one place. The three legendary birds long lost their arrogance.

Only a few legendaries and some pokemon that teleported out in time sustained light injuries.

"Arrogant mortals. Let's play a game, shall we?" Its sadistic voice boomed inside their heads.

With a swipe of its hand. Like lambs, everyone began to float.

Just then Red realised that with just psychic, it could overwhelm an infinite amount of pokemon.

Immunity? Resistance? These sorts of things didn't seem to apply to it.

Or rather, they lost the right to.

Its power grew so much that it went outside the conventional rules.

"You looked quite calm when they all died. Then you are first." It said and Red flew out.

Now encased inside a barrier. A flame appeared in the corner and slowly grew in size.

He backed up to the opposite corner. The flames already burned his arms.

"Let's make it more interesting."

Droplets appeared above Red's head as they began to fall.

Each time they did, a soothing feeling healed his body. The burnt skin began to peel and grow back.

Pain like never before.

An urge to howl in pain escaped his body.

The voice inside his mind tried to find a way, but to no avail. Seeing their master like this.

They tried to save him as mewtwo Y let them go.

It watched them struggle.

Teleport and other moves didn't work at all.

Each time, the barrier grew less in power. It just reinforced it again and again.

"Come on, or your favourite human won't last much longer." It said as the flames almost engulfed the entire barrier.

No matter how great the healing was.

The moment it burned his brain to crisps, there would be no Red remaining. He felt his mind growing numb. Nerves regenerated and burned again and again.

A piercing cry shook mewtwo's mind.

Trembling, Gardevoir finally made a move. Clashing energies inside her body kept fighting.

With a wave of her hands. The barrier broke as a miniature black hole tore it to pieces.

It's second move, disable prevented mewtwo from casting protect.

With her third move, she teleported in, hugged Red, and vanished.

Inside her mind remained only one goal. Teleport, teleport again.

Teleport as far away as possible. Escape and save her master. Alas, she didn't account for one thing.

The black hole under the effect of disable that spilled over. And the reckless teleportations began to absorb all energies.

Tearing pain almost tore her and Red's body to shreds. With the last moments of clarity, she sent out protect and healing pulse.

The mutated black hole began to swell.

It grew hundreds of metres in seconds and engulfed everyone, including Mewtwo Y.

Just as it was about to grow with the intent to swallow the entire planet.

A majestic pokemon appeared, and the black hole vanished. The ground began to regenerate and life returned to the planet once more.

Everything looked identical.

Calm returned as the tales of Mewtwo Y would remain as mere tales of a mural fragmented to millions of pieces.

An event that was destined to be recreated once again...
