Rising of the Pet System

A young man who was a slave for as long as he remembers finally gets set free into the world by a powerful devil as her servant. As named by her, he took Hades as a name and a way of life. As her hellhound unleashed on the world, she gave him a contract. The more he sacrifices for her, the more power she will grant him. What to expect? The world of Alseria is a ruthless world so don’t expect people to be just after power or be evil for the sake of evil. Each villain I wrote has a legitimate reason for his action, and by legitimate I mean something good. The MC: He isn’t a good guy neither he is evil. He just wants to get by, and occasionally ends up causing a disaster. His sense of morality isn’t like other people’s due to his upbringing and this story is about him trying to be normal. The MC Powers: He has abilities granted to him by the system, not magic. Even though magic exists and is prominent in the world, our MC doesn’t have the patience to sit and learn it. By the end game, he will have a total of ten powerful abilities (Which are addressed in the ten-chapter prologue) I decided to take the HP, MP, and SP from the system concept since they aren’t good indicators of physical capabilities. Instead, I exchanged them for visual indicators, like if the MC is stabbed in the chest, his health is probably too low to stand. I will keep a review so you can contact me easily.

Taking In, a new companion.

Hades leaped away and tried to pull the Fenrir puppy toward him [Attraction] he wasn't able to as the monster hanged to the ground with his tiny claws. Hades smiled, this must the strongest creature he has faced till now… besides that old man…such a massive amount of Favor.

The two started exchanging blows one after the other. With each drop of blood, Hades started thinking that killing this little monster was a shame.

'If I could somehow put him in a cage and release him from that old man, won't we both manage to kill him?' Hades thought. Getting half the Favor wasn't bad, especially since the other end is getting nothing.

"{Notice: Trained pets won't consume half the Favor. You can choose how much to give them to level them up or not. It's advised to level them sufficiently so they won't die in combat.}"

The system replied with an answer far better than what Hades expected. "Could I get more?"

"{You can only have one pet at a time, Changing is possible after the pet dies.}"

"Can I get this one?"

"{Target: Fenrir Cub.

Taking in: Unavailable. Reason: Still conscious}"

Hades smiled even though he was bleeding to death, all he needed to do is give the monster one good smack to the head and he can then use it as a hunting dog.

Thwack! Hades leaped at the cub with [Repulsion] and pulled his punch with [Attraction] toward the cub's head.

"AWOOO!" The cub dodged again and sliced Hade's arm from the wrist to the elbow in a single swift move. With a leap, he aimed for the neck again.

[Attraction] [Repulsion] Hades immediately lowered his head and headbutted the cub knocking him off temporarily.

"Now!" He grabbed the cub by the head and screamed confusing the soldier behind him, "{Taking in…Finished.

Condition, severely wounded but quickly recovering.

Please name your pet.}"

Hades tried to carry the cub but both his hands were wounded. He instead poked him with his feet. "Wake up, there is an old man we need to kill." He kept nudging him and suddenly the cub woke up, all of his wounds have already healed.

The cub glared at Hades with a wide smile, "WAN!" He parked and leaped in place.

Hades smiled, "We can finally…" Before he could finish talking, the blood loss got to him, and he fell headfirst.

The Fenrir cub climbed on Hades's back and started jumping and biting his ears, nothing seemed to work.

Thud! Thud! Thud! From the distance, across the greens hills, the rumbling of hooves can be heard loudly with a loud… Neigh!

On the hilltop and with the bright sun behind him, a man in full black armor riding a black stallion emerged. The injured soldier sighed in relief, this was non than the retired general himself William Ginis, and his majestic warhorse Raptor.

Glaring down, William's eyes fell on Hades's bleeding body and he immediately noticed the Fenrir cub. If they don't kill it now, it might become a massive problem.

He pulled his sword and rushed down with a war cry, this was a fight he must win. Reinforcements will take a while to reach. Hades seems to have flown all the way here alone while William who had the one and only Raptor was the second fastest to get here.

Albeit old, Raptor was a war horse who had gone through much. In the middle of storms, and after days of starving with heavy wounds. Raptor could still drag heavy carriages filled with weapons and injured soldiers which usually required four horses. Normal horses simply can't compete with him in any way.

The moment William approached Hades, Raptor stopped and he leaped away pulling his sword. This was a fight he must go through.

The little Fenrir cub turned toward him and start growling, he could sense that he was here to kill him.

"Little one, you must die here before you could grow." He said with a sad face and was about to charge.

Thud! Neigh! Raptor pit his mantle and pulled him back. William immediately turned around and yelled, "Raptor! What's the matter?"

Raptor had sharper senses than humans, he could usually tell when something is dangerous. But this time it was different. Raptor glared at the little Fenrir cub with a calm face and a curious gaze.

William knew something was off. He backed down and left the job to his trusty stallion.

"Sir William, please be careful, that monster is strong." The injured soldier cried.

"Silence, Raptor knows what he is doing," William shouted back and sheathed his sword watching the interaction.

Raptor slowly approached the cub and stared at him. Neigh! Brrrr.

The cub backed a bit and looked at Raptor cocking his head, "WAN! WAN!" He barked while keeping eye contact.

Raptor slowly approached Hades and sniffed him, the Fenrir cub didn't attack him and stood away. William knew that the cub was safe for the time being and approached Hades. He didn't know the kid besides his name and a few things from his daughter. But a soldier who put an end to the kidnapper in one night rushed first to face a Fenrir cub alone isn't someone he wishes to lose.

Willam carried Hades and laid him on Raptor's back, the Fenrir jumped on top of him and sat down. William smiled. For some reason, the cub seems to be attached to Hades like a normal dog.

The injured soldier looked in horror, how could the mighty Fenrir be this calm? "You seem fine and can walk on your own, the other will be here in a few moments so you can just wait," William said staring at the soldier.

"No way…" the soldier cried and William was feeling bad leaving him here but…Hades was worth more, especially since a Fenrir cub seems attached to him.

Neigh! Raptor roared racing across the green lush fields, his hooves lefts marks on the ground with how heavy his load was.

William patted Raptor's neck, "Are you fine?" He was worried they might be pushing Raptor's a bit too much now that he was old.

Neigh! Brrrrrrrrrrr! Raptor turned his neck to look at William and seemed to be smiling as if saying this isn't much.

And as if to prove his point, Raptor increased his speed as steam started coming with his breath. William who was sitting on top of him could feel the stallion's heart beating. BRRRRRR! Raptor changed his direction, the road had so many turns and twists that will just waste their time. He rushed the right through the farms.

"Raptor, slow down!" William yelled as he saw Raptor rushing directing toward a six-foot-tall Fence.

Neigh! Raptor just increased his speed, this horse was a monster on his own.

Who would win? ten cavalries or one exited old stallion?

What do you think is a proper name for The Fenrir Cub?
