Chapter 6

Cleaning up both of them sat down with Victor trying to introduce himself, Of course it was not easy for her. "Vic....Tor, can you repeat that?" Looking at her as he was emphasizing his name for her to understand, "Wikhtooor" she said after multiple tries.

He nodded in approval before he repeated " Vic..... Tor"

It took a while before she could pronounce his name, before she decided to just call him Vik for short. Shrugging in indifference as to what she called him, she introduced herself as well "Berenike" (Be-re-nee-ke)

Looking in confusion as she pointed at herself she repeated " Bere-ni-ke." And because of him being a yautja he could easily pick up and mimic words he understood and repeated her words, "Berenike." Looking at him in shock as to how he got her name so quickly she uncharacteristically got really excited before starting to teach him as she continued to do what she came for, the herb to cure her brother poison.

Finding it at the upper section of the outgrowth on the waterfall, she felt a bit discouraged to make the climb as she would easily slip because of the downpour of the pressure of the waterfall. Seeing where she was looking at as well as the dropped ears of her's reminded him of sad kittens, and as a man he could not just her give up upon finding the reason of her journey here.

Rolling his neck side to side producing some satisfying bone cracks, taking a deep breath he leapt towards the the downpour and started scaling upwards to that herb. Slipping sometimes he stabbed his claws to the slippery walls and climbed with a grunt of effort, getting to the where he can take a small breather he flexed and stretched his exhausted before taking another deep breath before taking the leap to continue his climb.

Taking him more than twelve minutes of effort before he made it to the top, getting there he looked at the red herb that seemed to look like something out of a fantasy novel he gently picked it up and wrapped it in a big leaf resembling a banana leaf before tying it up with some vines before he looked over the cliff where he saw Berenike.

Gesturing to the bundle in his hands and making a throwing motion before point to the lake, seeing her nod and getting ready he threw it to the lake for her to fish it out. As for himself he looked from his vantage point and admired the beauty of nature, looking back down before he muttered to himself

"Man I was always a fan of assassin's creed, one can never be a full fledged assassin without the final lesson unless they are able to take the leap of faith. And that's exactly what I will do."

Spreading out his arms in a t-pose he leapt with his eyes closed, he could have sworn he heard the hawk call as he fell angling his body as he fell for his hands to land in the water hands first before he broke contact with the water below and climbed out with no harm. Dashing towards him she jumped into his arms with which he caught her effortlessly, raining kisses on his face in gratitude causing him to laugh with her joining him.

After resting she took him by hand back to the cave in order to feed her mate with the meat she cooked for him, after eating he resumed with his carving with her sitting close by to keep teaching him her language while she recovers from her injuries she sustained from the very beast's bone her mate is carving on.

After three days spent with him already able to understand some of the words she says she told him that she has to return as soon as possible with the herb to save her brother, but assured him that as she's his mate she'll be back as soon as she's sure her brother is out of danger. Letting her go was not as easy as it seems because of reasons he himself does not understand, feeling very possessive and protective of her he was reluctant of letting her go but he did.

Giving him a searing kiss on his forehead before she took the herb and made haste to the city, distracting himself with carving. And so three weeks weeks has passed as he managed to create a knife the size of a short sword as well as a spear, not stopping he foraged around made use of some of the bones to make himself a skull helmet, armor and gauntlets.

Using some of the skin as well sinews to make them, it was not the best looking but it would serve him well for now. He also made himself a Guitar out of the bones as well, using the sinews and it's dried intestine to make the strings.

Testing out the Guitar after fine-tuning it he played Hotel California for himself feeling nostalgic, it's tune singing with the background and echo of the waterfall.

Finishing the music he paused for a moment before he perked up, hearing some noise he turned towards the clearing he wore his helmet and taking the spear just In case, walking out of the foliage it was Berenike as well as a fellow who is seemingly like her brother.

Her brother seeing him was on guard and quickly blocked his sight of her with himself standing before her with his body, pointing the spear in his direction warily as he saw Victor's imposing size and look he unconsciously growled causing Victor himself to respond with a growl of his own. Before it all escalated Berenike having enough of her brother's antics bonked his head before dragging his ear down to her hight causing him to wince as she pulled very hard on his ear before scolded him, from what Victor could catch he heard *Idiot* *Fool* so he was sure she was cussing her seemingly ashamed brother.

Before Berenike approached Victor and hugged him, nuzzling her head on his chest while purring which Victor reciprocates. These sequence of actions caused her brother's jaw to drop in disbelief, dumbfounded because for as long as he could remember she was very serious and strict person with no time for nonsense. And here she's being affectionate with this strange one, he then approached them while keeping his distance drawing both of their attention.

Raising his right arm to his chest and bowing his head in gratitude for not just saving his sister in her moments of crisis but him as well, Victor nodded back as there was no need for dialogue to explain what his gesture means. Looking back to the foliage her brother called out, several people of the same species as them walked out some of them resembling lions, tigers, panther and other felines. The lion looking one seemingly an elder approached them with his walking stick, being helped by what looked like a minx child guiding the old man to them.

~This Elderly one greets The Hunter, it's been a long time since I laid eyes on our fallen allies.~ Said the Elder

Being surprised Victor quickly responded

~The Hunter greets you as well tribal chief.~

His response only made the elder give a smile before asking

~If it's not much trouble, may I please behold your face? Ever since I was a cub growing up I've heard of the tales of how our ancestors and yours were allies so close to being a brotherhood, words can not describe the sadness our people felt with the betrayal of That One Eyed Bastard.~

Nodding in response Victor slowly took his mask off drawing gasps from some of the accompanying warriors, The Elder was overjoyed upon seeing his face before with the struggle of his old age he knelt down, and raised his hands up and cried out.

" Oh Mother of Life, I give thanks to you for bearing witness to your champion as our prophecy has foretold. I thank you for giving me strength to my body and soul, to not die like my ancestors who awaited the liberation of their people. O Mother Ish'na'keth I now pray for me to bear witness of not just my people, but that of our comrades The Yautja as well of not just being liberated but rising once again to be among the stars once again greater than ever!"

During his prayer the other warriors joined the kneeling Elder in his prayer, as soon as he finished the seemingly cloudy weather parted ways with ethereal light shining upon Victor, Having complete one of his many challenges was now been bestowed a blessing. What seemed like Yautjan runes were now over where his heart should be, before Zar'grim's voice spoke in his mind

{For completing the trail of the hunt, I bestow up you greater healing as well as the Eyes of The Hunter. You shall not fall to any forms of physical harm nor shall any prey ever marked by your eyes would be able to escape your track, and your aim will always stay true.}
