Since the incident in the capital the Kingdom had been less celebratory and more dull. They'd lost their king after all, there was always an inevitable fear when there was a leadership change.

Henry was unknown, therefore nobody was sure the kind of ruler he would be. For all they knew, he could be much worse than his father. He was raised by the same man and ontop of that he witnessed that man die the most gruesome death.
