Naturally Levi knew there was someone watching them from a distance but chose to ignore them. While he was still weakened from using his runes, he was certain he could take whichever cockroach was sniffing around their home.
And since he didn't sense any kind of animosity coming from them, he didn't think it was anything to panic over. When the time was right they'd come out of their hiding hole and lay out their intentions.
For now, he needed to convincingly play family with Scarlet.
"What's for dinner today?"
"You're asking that like we have a variety to choose from. Roasted something, anything." Levi shrugged.
That answer put Scarlet in a very bad mood, she was tired of eating the same thing. She found herself missing her mother's cooking, she never really learned how to since she was still just a child.
Levi didn't have these problems when it was just him, he ate whatever when he came out of hibernation and he grew just fine.
