Chapter 3: The mysterious person

Back in the testing center.

"Ammie, come to the stage."

A little girl walked to the stage. She then put her hand on the ball and took it after some time.

"Ammie, magic affinity to Earth. Rank Blue"

The girl called Ammie went to sit with her parents. Her face was full of smiles.

"This is the end of the test. Now all the representatives from the Academies will come to fetch you." The test conductor said. He then went to sit in his place.

The representatives came one by one and asked the children which academy they want to join. All replied in their way. After discussing they allotted the academy to them.

But it still hadn't ended. There was one more person left. It was none other than Derek who had a Purple rank affinity to Darkness. All the academy wanted him. But the representative of Mana academy was very sad since she cannot accept this child. It was against the rules of her academy. It was also the same for Lightning academy. Both their face was filled with regret. They in their minds cursed the person who created such stupid rules. All the other representatives were happy that they wouldn't have to fight these people for Derek.

"Young one, I think Royal academy is the right place for you to come. There you can improve your skills a lot and the King will give you the needed guidance" Boston said. ( Representative of Royal academy )

All the other academy's representatives spat in anger. They have never seen the royal academy acting so low.

"I think it's best if you join us." Said Alice who was the representative of Alolan academy. She wore the best smile she can. All other representatives were amazed by her shamelessness. No one had ever seen her in this way.

But her smile made all the fathers look into her in interest. Seeing this, their wives gave them a threatening look and they looked away. Even now they were glancing at her when their wife wasn't looking.

"Hmph! I think Lunar Academy is best for him. There only Darkness and Light people are so he could be given a lot of lectures. And all the teachers and masters of their respective element" Said Nina, none other than the representative of the Lunar academy.

Now the whole room was in silence…

All looked at Derek to hear where he wanna join.

After five minutes still they didn't get any reply. They grew impatient and were about to lash out at him.

"Hmmm" Derek's sound was heard.

All straightened the ears to hear what he want to say. All the representatives wanted him to join their respective Universities.

"After a lot of thinking I came to a decision…." He said.

"I will join the...…"

The mood was heavy for all representatives.

"I will join the Lunar academy…" He at last said.

Nina broke into smiles. Her smile was more beautiful than Alice's. All the people looked to her in greed. Even women were amazed by her. Seeing the greedy glares, she released some of her pressure. This chokes all the people and made them look away.

She then turned to Derek and said.

"Wise choice young man. I am sure that you will be a great Darkness wielder in the future. I will come within 1 week to fetch you from your home and take you to the academy"

Derek nodded.

Nina then went away to sit in her seat and started talking with the test conductor.

"Young man, if you ever change your decision, Royal academy's door is always open for you," said Boston.

"Yeah we the Alolan academy will also be there for you," Said, Alice. Now there was no smile on her face only a tinge of sorrow.

Derek replied, "Seniors thank you for your kindness". He then went away and joined his parents. After some time returned home.

All the representatives except Nina sighed. As they thought a treasure has slipped from their hands.

After some talking, all retired to their respective places. The testing center was shut…

In Attie's house…

'Hmm. It's been 2 hours. Why is not Attie awake yet?' Kuromi (Mom) thought.

She didn't know that Attie was experiencing something she never heard of. He was awake but not in body but in the soul.

Inside Attie's soul realm…

A young man walking in a place covered in darkness. It was Attie.

'Where am I? Why is this place so dark? I only remember crying in my mother's arms and then I came here.' He thought.

Suddenly he saw light in some distance. He went near it.

What he saw surprised him.

There was a person who looked exactly like him in there. But there was a separation made of something like glass. He went to touch the glass. But suddenly, the glass emitted a bright light which made him close his eyes. When the light dimmed he open his eyes.

What he saw was….

There were cracks in the wall. The cracks were becoming more and more.

*Crack* *crack*

The sound of glass cracking echoed.

Attie was too surprised to see this happening.

And now there were so many cracks that it looked like it could shatter any time soon.

And it…..

Shattered

The sound once again echoed everywhere.

Now Attie was able to take a clear view of the figure. The figure was exactly like him albeit looking a little more mature. The figure looked in his mid-20s.

Attie thought that the figure would soon open his eyes. But even after waiting, it didn't even bulge.

Attie curious looked around and saw that there were some chains attached to the figure. Even though they can be called chains, they didn't look like one. It was very thin about the size of yarn.

He then tried to remove the chains. But all his efforts went in vain. He didn't expect the chains to be this much strong.

After trying for about an hour ( it's time he felt not real-time) he stopped trying. But when he was removing his hand, it scratched on the chain, and a little drop of blood was dropped on it.

It shook violently and chains started to lose and fall out.

Attie moved away from the figure. As the chains were falling, he sensed a large pressure descending onto him. He felt suffocated and was on his knees. Even the representative's pressure was child's play compared to this.

The eyes of the figure snapped open and looked around. The figure then saw Attie. He smiled at Attie and went near him. When he saw Attie suffocating as he went near, he dispelled his pressure. He then helped Attie stand up.

"So you awakened me…. Now we must unite" The figure said in a slow yet soothing voice.
