Chapter 251: Flashback (2)

As we met a special, I can sense a fast bullet from far away.

"Get down!" I jumped and pull Kelly downward as a shot whooshed by

"What the fuck?!" Kelly cursed as we all got into our stance, Kenny took out binoculars and saw a faint glare from far away as several more shots came from different directions

"Fuck, I saw a military uniform" Kenny reported "Kelly, you protect me as I try to kill that traitor, Benny, Grace, you 2 get that special, and you guys kill the gorgers"

Then, on my radar, I can see 2 new signals popped up on it and it's approaching us and it isn't gorgers, it's green, meaning that it's humans, our own allies.

"Ah, I'm sure you get it now, you have traitors in your midst" The special said as he crashed landed in front of us "Nice to meet you, Grace Leven. I was told to be careful of the 3rd ability that you kept hidden from the world"

"Just a curious question, how many traitors are there?" Benny asked as he summoned out red whips

"Well, even if you know and survive, it won't do much good" it chuckled and charged at us, it was quick, he threw a kick which I can barely catch.

Benny then slashed his whip at the leg I caught but it then backed away. I took out my rifle and rapid fire the special, it dodged all my attacks as one of Benny's whip lashed out and wrapped around his leg, Benny pulled him and lash his other whip down while I threw my miniature bombs at him and shooting at him.

It barely did anything as his flesh start regenerating itself. He then cracked his neck nonchalantly as if nothing happened.

"Grace, I heard you were destructive and strong, it's a bit disappointing" he commented "But then again, it only happens when you're hurt. So I'm gonn-"

I charged in and threw a punch, he sidestepped and dodged it, and threw one at my gut and a gush of wind blew me upward. He stomped the ground and caused an earthquake and charged at Benny.

"I got the shooters" Kenny reported "But bad news, it's Karen and one of her squadmates with the flight ability heading over. Over."

"She can't be a traitor too" Benny complained as the special kicked him at the side of his face and crashed into a building

"She is" Kelly informed "They're shooting at us!"

I dropped and charged my gauntlet, I rushed at it, it turned back and threw a kick grazing my face before I punched him. I grabbed one of his legs as he flew back and swung him, smashing him towards the ground.

Before he can recover, I shove a few bombs into his mouth, shut it and jumped away. Even with his head blown up, it still regenerated.

"Bro, Benny, you okay?" I asked "Do I need to come to help you out?"

"I'm...fine" Benny groaned as he got up from his rubble with blood covering his face

"Shit, Karen and her squadmate is attacking us." Kenny reported "And we're losing a lot of signals, the other squads are probably also getting attacked. Over"

"Can't believe we trusted that bitch" Kelly snarled "All that training for team chemistry for nothing!"

"How are you not dead?!"

"Right, even for a special like you guys call it, my head blown off would kill me but I'm an unfortunate case for you" it explained as his arms turn into blades and wings growing out of his back "But I don't die easily"

"Man, you gorgers should have weird tentacles that fuel some people's weird fantasy, not a blade for arms and cool draconic wings"

He then charged at me and swung one of his arm down and slashed down the building behind me. Benny lash his whip which was suppose to cut it, but instead it just slap against its back.

"Fuck, Grace, you're supposed to take this bozo in a 1 on 1, right? What's your plan?" Benny asked

"Um improvise and kick ass" I answered

"Shit, we can't win against Karen and her squadmate while fending off gorgers at the same time. Over" Kenny complained

"Stop with the over. Wanna switch then? I can take Karen, she only have one ability and you can get this gu- woah" I got interrupted by the onslaughts of attacks, he then got burst of winds blowing me past through a few walls "Get this guy drunk and make him reveal his weakness, I blown his head up and he healed past that"

I am bloodied and stronger now due to ferocity, and it won't be long till my personality switched over to that other side of me.

"Fine, we'll switch, heading over now." Kelly replied

Benny and I then stall it and wait for Kenny and Kelly to arrive.

"Karen is right behind us" Kelly panted "She and her squadmate are shoot- woah"

We then dodge under a barrage of bullets.

"Right, I'll take those 2, you take this stupid special"

Kenny then took out his pistol and led the charge against the special as I headed for Karen. She saw me and swiped her arm, and the thruster under my feet shot me quickly to the side and dodged the attack.

My thrusters activated again and shot me in front of her, I then swung my fist into her face and she blew backwards and crashed into a wall. Her squadmate opened fire and I remember his ability, regeneration and copy.

He can't copy my 3rd ability or Karen's unique ability, he can only copy simple abilities like ferocity and his regeneration can only heal lost of limbs at most, so if his heart is pierced or his brain got damaged, he'll die.

I took cover and take out my rifle.

"Good news, I know the special's weakness, his ability is '9 lives' " Kenny reported "We'll have to kill him 9 times, his lives regenerate once a month"

"Good, you three kill that special and I'll handle these 2"

"Bad news, we detect another special heading toward us in our radar"

"Fuck"
