Slow progression

I found a golden spot near a certain island, it was very comfortable and if I use my ice manipulation to make some sort of a den, I could rest here for years, maybe even a millennia.

And so, my slow progress started and time went faster than I could count. As I hunted, slept at the den and hunted and slept at the den, everything became the same type of repetitive, which I remembered when I was on the other planet.

This slow progress was definitely not slow for the humans, as they progressed through their technology.

"Sir Stewards, we have made it!" A oldly man said to another oldly man with a moustache.

"What?"

"The energy combobulator!"

Both of them jumped in excitement as they made history, maybe even legend.

The energy combobulator or as they called it, Evo 0 was not the first, the new Evo 1 came with more features and better energy comsumtion.

After that, came another, and another until they made guns out of it, then machines, then houses, then skyscrapers.

And then, they took over the second island with massacre. The rest of the creatures ran away to the third island, but humans felt another block, the technology they had, wasn't enough to fight through the creatures in the third island.

Rumors told that in the center of it, was a huge spider with a gem inside its head, but it was just a myth, no one knew if it was true.

The first and the second island, they had huge differences in eachother, the second was bigger and had much more population and was richer, it was full of skyscrapers after the Evo's release.

And the first island was a full island of the first world's history, burnt down houses, small cities, farms. All of these was here, but after the second island was colonised, everybody moved there except some few people.

Now, the world moves in a linear motion, every month or so, there's a new discovery and this progressed until they finally made something more powerful than themselves.

Floating space ships, these were the first of their kind, since they used energy to move and do everything, while the other planet's floating space ships used fuel.

Now with these space ships, they could float and could fly around the planet seeking new things, but of course humans can be some curious beings and when they found a full ice circle just in the middle of the ocean.

They tried to explore it.
