Enemy?!

*swish* Xuan Yan appeared in Gu Yuena's space and sat beside her. Gu Yuena opened her eyes with a smile as she retracted the life crystal in her storage ring.

"How is the gift, Yan?"

He smiled softly "It's great. Thank you Nana for the gift!"

Gu Yuena gave a nod and extended her hand. Xuan Yan gently grasped her hand, carefully lifting the cloth that covered her wrist.

He then used his life flame for a while to heal her. A tender smile graced Gu Yuena's lips as she observed Xuan Yan who is closing his eyes and concentrating to heal her.

She has lived for thousands of years and it went in a blink of an eye for her. She will always stay under the lake of life healing her injuries.

But this one month without Xuan Yan's presence is the longest for her. Only after he left...she felt the lingering feeling in her heart. She always anticipates his return.

When he kissed her forehead, she felt something very sweet for the first time in her life. It was a feeling so profound and inexplicable that made her heart flutter with an intensity she couldn't put into words and she found herself totally enjoying this new feeling.

She found...love!

She chuckled herself. Now she understood why Ah Yin's eyes are brimming with excitement and joy when she talked about Xuan Yan.

Her purple eyes glimpsed at the man who is sitting beside her. Her hand involuntarily went up and caressed his soft cheeks. A frown appeared on his face reacting to her touch.

With a gentle smile on her face, she leaned against his shoulder, finding comfort in his presence while Xuan Yan continued to heal her.

A little later, Xuan Yan opened his eyes and was pleasantly surprised as he saw Gu Yuena resting comfortably against his shoulder.

He didn't utter a single word, allowing her to continue leaning on him without any interruption.

He retracted his hand from her wrist but Gu Yuena quickly reached out and grabbed onto it, intertwining her fingers with his. She held onto him tightly, as if trying to convey her emotions through the touch of their skin.

Xuan Yan glanced at Gu Yuena for the unexpected approach and Gu Yuena averted her eyes in embarrassment with a huge blush on her face.

He let out a soft chuckle, and he proceeded to clasp her fingers more firmly. Gu Yuena's lips curved into a gentle smile, as she felt the pressure of his grip.

"The moon is beautiful, isn't it?" Xuan Yan asked and Gu Yuena gazed up at the ceiling "Yeah, it is!".

"So are you!" Xuan Yan said and Gu Yuena giggled hearing this.

They spent the entire night leaning on each other and holding their hands tightly.

...

"I am leaving , Nana. I will come often!" Xuan Yan said patting the back of Gu Yuena who is embracing him. He spent the last 4 days here with Gu Yuena, Zi Ji, and Bi Ji.

Gu Yuena sighed in his arms. Her eyes wavered in unwillingness as she is really reluctant to let him go. She took her head from his shoulder yet their hands remained tightly intertwined around each other's waist.

"Come and meet me quicker!" she said softly to which Xuan Yan gave a nod. She tiptoed and her lips touched his forehead leaving a lovely kiss.

Xuan Yan smiled and her eyes fell on his lips. A surge of desire raised in her heart to peck his lips just as Ah Yin did. She thought of sinking her teeth into his lips, imagining a passionate and fervent kiss.

But she shook her head subtly and looked at his golden eyes "I will be waiting for you..."

Xuan Yan nodded and kissed her cheek which is glowing with a shade of red. And then he disappeared...leaving the smiling Gu Yuena.

He appeared near the Lake of Lofe and saw Bi Ji and Zi Ji. "Zi Ji it's time to go!" Zi Ji nodded.

Xuan Yan took a step forward and hugged Bi Ji. Bi Ji also hugged him back with a great surprise in her eyes.

"Bi Ji, I am leaving...Use the life essence pills carefully!"

Bi Ji smiled with a nod "Yes. Young Lord and be careful, Zi Ji might again sneak up on your bed while you are sleeping."

ZI Ji's cheeks went red as Xuan Yan laughed light-heartedly "Yeah, I will be careful!"

A month later~

"Oh, Yan you are really improving very quickly..." Tang Yueha said amusedly when Xuan Yan finished his playing.

"Haha, thanks Yueha!" he said and stretched his hand a little to relax his muscles.

Seeing this, Tang Yueha smiled "Yan, how about I prepare a tea for relaxing?"

"Well, Ok!" he spoke and Tang Yueha quickly went to prepare a tea for her lover. She began to carefully prepare the tea filled with love.

His eyes fell on a large drawing board on the edge of the hall and it is covered by a white cloth to hide the drawing.

He rose from his seat and walked toward the portrait. "Yueha what is this? You are drawing something?"

"Hm?" Tang Yueha turned her head and her eyes widened in shock "Yan stop!" she yelled hastily.

Xuan Yan was surprised by the sudden yell "Yueha? What happened?"

She quickly arrived in front of the drawing board hot allowing Xuan Yan to lay hands on it "Um...Yes, Yan...I was drawing something."

"So you are really drawing, huh. Let me see it!"

"N-No Yan, you can't see it now. It is still in the process...I will show it to you after it's done." Tang Yueha replied with a slightly red face.

Xuan Yan was confused but then he nodded "Hm, tell me when it's finished." Tang Yueha nodded quickly "I will" because it is for you...she thought in her mind.

Then he walked and again sat on his seat.

[Master!]

While drinking the tea, Xuan Yan's eyebrows frowned but then a smile appeared on his face. He quickly drank his tea "I have some important things to do, So I'll be going Yueha!"

Tang Yueha nodded gently "Yes, Yan!"

After he left, Tang Yueha sighed in relief "Thankfully, he didn't see this..." she said and took the white cloth covering the board.

There is a drawing of Xuan Yan with raven black hair and striking blue eyes. There are still some places that need to be colored.

An elegant smile appeared on her lips as she looked at the painting.

"What is the meaning of this, Yueha??!!" a hoarse voice echoed through the hall.

Tang Yueha was startled and turned back "Brother Hao you are back..." she smiled seeing who it was.

But she was perplexed seeing the displeased frown on his face "Brother Hao, what happened?"

"You are asking me what happened? Why is his painting in your hall?" Tang Hao asked discontented.

Tang Yueha blushed timidly and looked down "B-Brother Hao..he..."

Seeing her reaction, Tang Hao took a step back in utter shock "D-Don't tell me Yueha...you love him?"

"Well, Brother Hao...I do love him!" she said softly as she remembered Yan.

Tang Hao was taken aback in disbelief hearing his own sister loving his sworn enemy "H-How can you do this, Yueha? That bastard is my sworn enemy!" he shouted angrily.

The very idea of his sister being romantically involved with the person he despised the most was enough to make him feel betrayed and hurt.

This time, Tang Yueha was greatly bewildered hearing her Brother's words and her eyes trembled in dismay "E-Enemy?"

"He is a vile creature and I have sworn to destroy him...He is a despicable man and I hate him with all my heart and bones yet you..."

Tang Yueha was filled with terror as she took a few steps back, repeatedly uttering, "No,...No..." Her fear was evident in the way she trembled and her voice quivered.

"Yueha!!!"

With fierce determination, she pressed her hands tightly against her ears, refusing to listen to her brother's accusations. "Brother Hao...you are wrong...Yan is not like that. He is a good and gentle man. You know nothing about him...You must be lying..." she yelled back furiously as tears welled up in her eyes.

"Yueha..hear me..."

"No...Brother Hao...you are wrong..wrong...He..."
