[Author's note: Information dumps in the beginning albeit they are unnecessary but I still find them a bit necessary information as they are going to set the plot for future and will be repeated in brief wherever needed...]

Most of the work I did was travelling around and memorizing different people's habits and works to have a general idea of the common culture.

There are roughly 3-4Million people in this city out of which 500thousand include traders, roaming merchants and adventurers.

Adventurers make up 10%of the total human population.

Adventure rank starts from-

Wood rank<Iron rank<Bronze rank<Silver rank<Gold rank<Platinum rank<Ruby rank<Sapphire rank<Diamond rank< p>

From wood to silver you need to complete 10 quests to increase your rank by one and most of the adventurers fall within these ranks.[Total 4-5 billion including all races]

Up from there, you need specific quests or merits to increase your rank like-

1. Defeat a wyvern on your own or defeat a gold rank in front of everyone with both sides having basic equipment only, to increase rank to gold.[Total gold rank adventurers existing~1billion including all races]

Defeat a horde of wyverns on your own or defeat a mid-size dragon upfront to advance to platinum rank.[Total platinum rank~1million including all races]

Defeating 10 mid-high demon or one of the seven sins' direct subordinate on one vs one fight would let you become a ruby rank adventurer.[Total number of ruby rank adventurers~7000 including all races]

Defeating a demon king's royal demon or one of the seven deadly sins will get you sapphire rank.[Total number =38including all races known]

Although no one had ever done it but if you defeat a devil king or demon king you will get a diamond rank that will be synonymous with becoming a Hero in a kingdom.[Total number=none including all races known]

Some people fall in diamond rank but they are not adventures

"Pipsqueaks, that's my 7wins:0 loss, is that all you got? Even my childhood friend's little brother can defeat you in one breath.", said Anna smirking at my brothers...she seems to enjoy their little brawl.

"We will...WE WILL DEFEAT YOU NEXT TIME!!", Chase was throwing a tantrum these days, gosh where did my calm and collected brother go?

Corey was....making an indescribable face.

He looked like he was angry, scared and bitter at her words.

He looked like he was in little pain too.

Damn, he looks so lovable and cute.

Oh... looks like he is about to cry...and....he ran away.

'Should I go console him?... Naah he will grow up.'

Let's hope it doesn't develop into childhood trauma.

'yeah, let's really hope', I thought looking at Anna who was laughing like a devil who conquered his final target.

"I will go heal Corey", said Amanda as she ran in his direction

"That's some development there", I said in a low voice looking at Amanda.

"It's good to be young", replied Anna looking in the same direction.

I looked at Anna for a few seconds silently, before saying, "You are a hag now?"

She went the other way after hitting me in the head.

"All peas of the same pod", she mutter in an irritated voice as she walked away.

Before I moved a step towards my room...

Time slowed, I was frozen, everything became black...I slowly closed my eyes and muttered in my head '[Absolute concentration mana circuit: pentadilution of speed circuit]'

And everything around me became clear up to 1km.

I sensed around and saw an assassin looking at me from the window of the garden.

He was well hidden, to be honest.

It didn't look like he was here to kill anyone, probably to scout the area.

'Let's search a bit more.. farther... farther...'

'40 assassins....and all scouts'

'But...it didn't look like I need to do anything'

'Because....'

'Julia was slowly but surely moving towards the assassins'

I reduced the time dilation again

All right, she was flying.....or jumping in the direction of the first assassin.....and she caught him.

Then she moved to another.

She caught 32 assassins and was coming back after looking around a few more times.

Looks like the other assassins are a bit more proficient.

All right let's do something about them

because nothing would be really visible if the light doesn't enter your eyes, so recreating the already present scene around would be necessary

I amplified my space magic and spread it around my whole body for easy movement.

I amplified the mana usage in my body to the max limit.

and then I moved...

first the most corner assassin

I reached him

killing him won't be nice...It would be against my morals and will create unnecessary problems too.

So... let's enter his brain for now...

I touch his head and created a mana circuit that blocks mana usage and aura usage...

'One did 7 to go', I muttered.

I repeated the same with other assassins...

'This will scare them.... probably'

I then moved back to the original position.

"In five days, we will be going for a picnic near the Pearl lake.", said Anna as she kept walking away

"Okay", I said with a smile on my face.

I walked towards the outer hall

I saw my mother with 40 bodies in tow chained by red fierce mana dragged by her...

"..", I kept quiet as she walked around from left to right towards the basement.

After a few seconds when she disappeared I continued walking towards the gate

My destination was the port.

I walked towards the restaurant at the edge, near the port from where a pleasant view of the sea can be seen.

I usually come here to relax, as it is one of the few places I find similar to earth.

There are 2 suns visible from this planet and 4 moons.

One of the suns is farther away and much smaller than the other.

And the moons are equally distributed around the planet with only two visible at a time.

"Hello Light, the usual?", asked an aged looking lady with a chubby figure.

"Yes miss Margret, one triple egg omelette with sea salad, and a cup of black mist tea.", I ordered.

I turned around to see 3new faces, two men and one woman, sitting at the corner table.

"Elves", I slowly muttered.

"There had been a lot going in the elven kingdom, the whole kingdom shook last week", Margret said

"What happened?", I asked curiously.

"A lot, from the news I heard in the morning, the next queen was kidnapped by demons and devils, who was present in the outskirts of the Royal academy. As If that wasn't enough, they also killed her companions, guards and caretakers. They also attempted to capture her younger cousins from the Royal castle itself", said Margret shaking her head.

"And that changes?", I urged her to continue.

"Who knows, not that it's my business", she said as she walked away to another table.

'Well, I can deduce it as a show of strength of demons and weakness of elves and the following harassment that it results'

I continued my late breakfast enjoying the seen before getting up, paying the bill and leaving.

What happens to Elves isn't my concern, unless the assassins today are related to them. If I somehow do encounter them, I will save them along the way. It will help enter the elven kingdom in the future, that is, if ever needed.

I looked at the elves once again, they looked quite dispirited.

'No, I shouldn't get involved unless the situation calls, or else, the number of problems would be infinite', I thought and moved again towards my home.

Somewhere in a dark room

-BANG

"This isn't what was supposed to happen", said a high devil with two red horns and a bit scary red face as he broke the table in his front.

"It's still within our expectations. The 8 elite assassins we lost told us that Red maniac was stronger than we anticipated. We can prepare more thoroughly this way. Send the rest 8 assassins as civilians and make them infiltrate the town and the rest of the elite assassins to observe the town itself. Who enters, who exits, everything....find anything worth using.", said a gentleman man like devil with red black bat wings wearing round glasses and two red horns on his head

"Alright Sebas, you are the brains", said the fierce high demon

"Trust me, Morlock, our plan is full proof with the supreme demon", Sebas paused and said, " it's all for the glory of Laplace".

"For the glory of Laplace", said Morlock as he walked out of the room.

After Morlock walked out of the room, Sebas kept silent for a while before chanting something...

Then a video like a hologram appeared and a man appeared to be sitting on a throne drinking something can be seen.

"Lord Ladros, there seems to be a variable in our plan and supreme mage Red maniac seems to be stronger than what we heard", summarised Sebas as he bowed on one knee with his head down.

"Take 1 more supreme devil, but make sure to complete the work.", said Ladros as he closed the hologram

'One of the seven deadly Sins, Sin of Greed, Ladros...is this necessary to be this much driven towards a goal to sacrifice everything, even your kins, to become the devil king?', Thought Sebas as he kept silent in the same position.

"May the devil king lives eternal and shine the glory of Laplace to all worlds", said Sebas as he sighed and moved out of the darkroom.
