"Teach me ruins", Light asked aunt Sophia

"I can teach you but first tell me why", asked aunt Sophia

"I want to be strong. That's all the reason I have. I don't want to give up", he urged.

Aunt Sophie looked at his face.

"sigh", looks like she gave up

"All right, I'll help you but before that, you must know that without talent even if you apply your whole life to it. You won't be able to achieve even single enlightenment", she answered

"Thank you for having me", replied Light with a wide smile.

ANNA'S POV:-

Five days later:

7:00 AM

My father and mother were always kind to me.

They supported me when my 'friends' left me alone after they found out that I have no talent at all.

They supported me when my relatives showed open hostility towards me.

They supported me when people said, "She is not worth of Brown family's name and they should disown her."

So I worked hard for them. I kept working hard until I became strong enough to stand equally among my age group.

But people weren't as surprised as much I had thought. They snickered and said, "without talent, you will grow only so much!"

And next week is the exam to enter the Royal academy.

"I will show those bastards, that talent isn't everything in this world", I muttered in an irritated voice as I recalled the past.

'sigh'

Then I looked at my bed which had...

"Handkerchief, fruit basket, sandwiches, water bottles, a mat and my favourite picnic hat", I counted excitedly." Everything is ready, nice", I said clapping my hands.

I walked out of my room towards the hall and saw Corey, Chase and Light standing there.

Those pipsqueaks are really something .

An aura genius, a magic genius and a talentless guy with great observation and a mature air around him.

That's something you don't see around every day.

"Good morning, pipsqueaks", I greeted them ' properly ' as usual.

"Good morning", Corey replied in low voice.

Chase and Light remained silent.

Before I could say something, aunt Julia came from the other side with Amanda, Linda and aunt Sophie.

We then left for the picnic.

9:00 AM

We reached the picnic spot and saw a beautiful blue lake covered by mountains on three sides.

There was a flush of green everywhere with red flowers at the corner of Pearl lake and butterflies around those flowers.

There was a wooden house present on the other side of the lake too.

We enjoyed the scenery as we walked towards the wooden house.

"Waaah!.... it's so beautiful!!", said Amanda and Linda nodded at her exclamation.

"So what will we do today?" asked Light looking at me and by some sort of chain reaction everyone looked at me expecting me to continue.

"W-why are you guys looking at me?" I stuttered a bit then looked at Light who had a bit mischievous smile, ' that bastard'

"You haven't planned?" asked Chase smirking at me as if he won a battle.

"Hehe", laughed Corey... or looked like he was trying to laugh but it turned creepy and now everyone was creating a distance from him.

And now he is embarrassed with his head down.

'How cute'

6:00 PM

We played games, enjoyed snacks, walked in the forest, collected wood and stone, and also caught fishes. Later we danced and sang around the fire. Honestly, it was such a perfect picnic if only...

"Who are they?" asked Amanda as she looked at 5 people coming in our direction...or not people....but....demons.

A few kilometres away

in the forest, there was another confrontation going on

"what's a high devil bastard doing here?" asked Julia with her fists on fire.

"Just taking a stroll, kidnapping some children, doing our daily work", replied Sebas with his wings fully opened and a staff in his one hand and a scroll in the other.

"And you think you can defeat us just by your puny power," said Julia looking at Sophia beside her with wand in her hand as she was continuing her chant. Then at the two high devils present there.

Devil King= Human King

Sin Devil<Duke

Supreme devil= Supreme mage/Marquis mage

High devil= High mage/Count mage

Mid devil= Master mage/Viscount mage

Lesser devil= Apprentice mage/Baron mage

2. Julia being a free adventurer gave up her title of Marquis so the Eros house was kept at Baron nobility as Light's father was only an apprentice mage at best. For how they got together would be a story of another time]

The blue devil then tore the scroll in his hand.

Suddenly all magicules within 1 km were reduced by 40%.

"This is how I guess...and this too", said Sebas as he took out another scroll but before he can tear it Julia almost reached him.....and was suddenly stopped by the red devil who got in between them. Julia ' pushed ' him aside easily, unfortunately, that small moment was enough for Sebas to tear the scroll.

A portal opened pushing Julia back and an ominous feeling surrounded the area. The sky turned reddish from the previous blue colour.

Then

Someone walked out of the portal

A devil completely red in colour from head to toe with dark black patterns on his naked upper body, with two large wings and two small but dark red horns.

"high devil Sebas and high devil Morlock greets the supreme devil Orion", spoke Sebas as both high devils bowed on one knee.

Back at the lakeside I and the children were standing there

I was standing in the front with Corey and Chase beside me and Amanda, Linda and Light were at the back.

'I must protect them...the demons are bad guys... don't negotiate or else you'll die without even knowing how I repeated recalling what I had learnt about demons before.

"Wow.. would you look at that, a fierce little girl trying to protect her companions", said a demon clapping his hand as if amused by something.

Then he vanished

"huh?", before I could see anything...

"But you know, one shouldn't overestimate themselves." whispered the demon in my ear and then he kicked me towards the lake.

"That girl is mine to take", declared the demon pointing towards me.

"Can't control yourself, you bastard", laughed the other demon while looking at him and then at me...that gaze....as if I were some plaything... giving me chills.

He walked towards Corey this time, smiling and walking slowly as if having fun while hunting his prey.

"Not yet ", I spoke

"[Mana zone:Domain of the wild]", I used my second most powerful spell.

My whole body was burning from inside.

I know I shouldn't use it without being proficient in it.

But

' those pipsqueaks might die and I will be blamed for not being able to protect the geniuses'

Even if I won't be blamed by anyone else...I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I just watched them suffer and did nothing.

I ran towards the demon and punched him with full force.

But he vanished again...

"I will say that you are surely and slightly better than those 3 lesser demons over there but against a mid demon like me", he whispered again "you are-"

-Boom

"huh?" I was shocked... because the demons' upper body was missing.

"That was scary damn it", I heard a voice...it was Chase who spoke.

LIGHT'S POV:-

a few moments back

As soon as we saw the demons I asked Corey to prepare a propelling force on Chase and Chase to use his most powerful attack which was his kick on my signal.

I asked Amanda to increase the power of Chase's propelling speed and Linda to cover Chase's leg with dark energy to increase his attack power.

I was going to include Anna but she looked quite determined so I made her the bait... sorry Anna I'll somehow make up for it.

When Anna was kicked they were shocked, even scared but determined to do it...heck they wanted to do it as fast as they can but they kept calm and waited.

Anna came back more fiercely again and I gave the signal as soon as I saw the demon move.

He wasn't fast or maybe he was in a way but his main ability was teleportation.

His reaction speed was worse than Anna's though if only counting the moment after she was kicked and came back.

The rest is...

"That was scary damn it." said Chase as his foot was injured again but Amanda healed it pretty quickly.

Now then, there are still 4 demons left...one mid demon and 3 lesser demons. They look cautious than before though.

"Wow, I have never seen a demon blown to smithereens before....this picnic is getting more awesome by the minute", I spoke with a smirk but it didn't look like it had any effect on them as they were still cautious....or not as the front demon simply jumped at Chase this time "You bastards!!! I am going to kill you!!!"

Looks like he had some relation with the previous demon

But looks like it is fine as this demon's power looked strengthening his body parts so speed should do the trick.

"Chase, Corey and Linda take out the mid demon!!! support each other or else everyone will die!!", I shouted, "Anna, take out the lesser devils, their powers are space storage, paralysis and binding. Amanda buff Anna", I spoke to Anna and Amanda who looked at me a bit confused but still nodded.

Honestly, each lesser devil was as strong as Corey or Chase without their most powerful move but since they were mostly support devils it should be fine given the fact that Amanda was supporting her.

"So shall we begin the next round?", I asked acting as if the host of the show with a smile on my face and a white dagger in my hand.
