UPDATING...

As Link lost control over his Mana, he didn't expect for the effect to reach such heights.

The man took a step back, sweating profusely. His heart started beating faster, and his chest felt tight.

Fear.

"What the hell did this vermin do to me?" the man thought to himself. It was the first time he experienced this feeling.

Always being protected, pampered, with people sucking up to him all the time. Even the high and mighty nobles would lower themselves and bow to him.

But it didn't matter how angry he was at that moment, it was in all vain. He could barely move let alone do something.

"This commoner dares to do this to me?" he thought, getting more and more angry "ME. PRINCE MATIAS????"

"L..ink" a voice spoke from beside him. Link looked over, seeing his mother drenched in sweat, her face turning blue.

"Oh shit" He muttered, pulling back his mana "I'm sorry mom" he said.

This was not the first time he used killing intent, but most of the time it would only suppress the person it was directed at, having most of the effects on them.

Little did he know, since The mana was foreign and still stabilizing, he did not have perfect control over it yet.

Link checked on his mother and father, both dazed by the incident.

For his mother, her mana was so low that even when the killing intent wasn't aimed at her, it still affected her greatly.

And for his father, magic was never his thing, even low level chore spells were a challenge for him, which led him to feeling the suppression, if not for being physically stronger he would have passed out.

This is why he always carried the accumulation Technique Book with him, he's aware of his weakness and always uses the book to practice whenever he has time.

"YOU" Matias screamed, anger written on his face "YOU DARE DO THIS? HARBORING AND DISPLAYING HOSTILITY TOWARDS A ROYAL FAMILY MEMBER? DO YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH?"

Matias was screaming so loud that even Lisa and Rena which were outside with Samuel and the two twins heard him.

A group of 4, each hiding in a spot outside, surrounding the house, all wearing a mask covering the bottom half of their faces with black scout-like armor heard what Matias said.

In less than a second, the door and windows of the house were broken into, each entering from somewhere bearing their weapons. All held a pair of daggers and only one wielded a sword. It didn't take them long to cover the whole house and find their master's location.

"Master, is something wrong?" The man with the sword asked, looking around, finding no threats, Only the peasant family which they didn't see as one.

A smile appeared on Matias's face. The main reason for screaming was to get this group's attention.

"That peasant bug used some kind of spell on me, punishment is in order." Matias spoke, pointing at Link.

The Masked group all looked at Link, the man with the sword raised his weapon, pointing it at him.

"You dare use a spell on his royal highness?" the man asked "This is treason"

Rao and Anny's faces went pale.

"Royal highness?" they thought.

Link was confused for a bit "Spell?" is all he could think of.

"Come now, you don't have to go to such lengths." Saya patted Matias's shoulder "That was just a bit of mana, a temporary side effect from his injury. Losing control was expected, you should have trained harder and you would have been able to withstand it easily"

The Masked men looked at Saya, bowing to her.

"Master Saya, Matias is the 7th prince of our Rechanguard Kingdom, we can't let a dirty commoner get away with something like this, be it an accident or not"

Link sighed "I swear to god, this life of mine is cursed. I'm a magnet for problems" He thought to himself "First, i got stuck in a poor village with no proper knowledge.

Not that i hate it here, but still. Then when the first time i get to learn something useful a Rare beast attacks us, and two at that.

And now this is just going too far, why did I jump straight to offending a royal? Aren't there more shit before I get to that point?… Fuck"

"Sure" Matias said, "If he gets on his knees and begs me i'll let it go" He smirked.

Anny was surprised, but relieved for the second chance. She did not want to put Link in such a situation, plus seeing his inaction, Anny was terrified.

"What if he takes it back and does something to my son?" she thought.

Suddenly, without hesitation. Anny quickly got on her knees, bowing to Matias.

"Please, your royal highness, forgive him, he did not mean to offend you." She spoke, her head touching the floor over and over again, begging him.

Soon after Rao got down as well, bowing. But he said nothing, hiding his immeasurable irritation.

Link crouched down, picking both of them back up, he couldn't believe his eyes.

"Mother, father. what are you two doing?" he said, still trying to get them off the ground.

At first he regretted what he did, thinking maybe he should have just ignored the spoiled sack of potatoes, But now, seeing both his parents in that state pissed him off.

Sinister ideas flashed.

"ENOUGH" Saya yelled, her eyes shining, brimming with mana. "I said let it go, did you not hear me?" She said in a low voice full of anger and annoyance, dropping her previous elegant and gentle aura.

Surprisingly, Matias shivered, his eyes opened in shock, frozen.

"Yes, Master. Sorry" he spoke after a bit, looking worried.

"Who the hell is she that she can scare a Royal?" Link wondered, looking at her properly, He noticed her odd robe, black in color with the exception of a white circle with a drawing in the middle of it.

An Eye.

Link's eyes widened, doubting what his eyes were seeing, freezing for a bit.

"Is that an eye?" he thought to himself "Isn't that the same as the rankers guild logo?"

Link didn't understand, thinking it was just a coincidence.

"Is it?" he kept wondering, Unable to take his eyes off of it.

"Kid, what's wrong?' Saya asked, seeing Link's expression. He was not scared, angry or annoyed, But he wore a look of surprise and excitement.

"Master Saya" Link spoke, trying to sound as polite as he could to try to get on her good side, then he asked "What is that logo?"

"Hehe, This is what i expected" Matias mumbled, laughing silently.

"This village is at the borders so i understand your confusion" Saya answered with a smile, while she sent a sharp look at Matias, making him keep quiet "This is the armies symbol, kid. It's used as the symbol for the military academies in our kingdom"

"Is that it?" Link asked, disappointed.

"Haha, yes, that's it." she giggled, pausing for a second "Well, way back, it was believed to be the symbol of a god, 'Rauj'. But religion died long ago leaving only this behind."

"Rauj?" Link thought.

Images of the black space returning to him, and the mysterious being that always seemed to bring him back to life.

Suddenly, second after Link said the name in his head. A bright red message appeared in front of him, making him flinch.

"Are you ok?" Asked Saya, unable to understand Link's odd expression.

"For the love of god, What is happening NOW?" Link couldn't help but ask, Everything was occurring at the same time. With messages too bright to read properly.
