Harvest Dungeon (2)

"FOUND YOU.." A voice spoke.

They all couldn't help but look back...

White fur not enough to cover its skin, muscular arms the size of reds body, with it's huge body and sharp yellow teeth, spit running down it's mouth and its razor sharp nails, red looked like an ant compared to this thing.

"W..what...hell is that thing??!!!" said Justin with a shaky voice. Ron and Nancy just stood there, Nancy had tears under her eyes and Ron was too scared to move.

"That's..the boss of the dungeon, it was slain. Why is it still alive..???." Nancy explained with a voice barely understandable.

sihans underground train station

"Number 219 please proceed to the dungeon portal." the announcement called.

In the train tunnel behind the portal.

"Get ready for the next party." a man in a black suit ordered. He had a name tag with 'sid' written on it.

"Yes sir" the two soldiers responded.

"Who are they?" asked sid.

"Sir, it is a 4 member party, the one with the most experience is named justin, he awakened a long time ago and this is his fifth F rank dungeon, he's a swordsman with 3 skills, body strengthening, sword aura and boost. The second is named Ron, an assassin type ranker, uses 2 daggers as his main weapons, this is his third dungeon and he has 4 skills, stealth, blade dance, acceleration and stab. The third one is a female named Nancy, an archer, this is her third dungeon as well, she has 3 skills, mana arrow, mark and acceleration. These 3 are from wealthy families, some of the skills they have were bought and learned with their families support." the soldier continued " the forth one is named red, he's a new registered awakened, graduated highschool and landed the first place in the finals but decided to become a ranker, from his skill we've deduced his class to me a mage or something similar, he has 3 skills, Summon skeleton, Mana Bolt and healing touch.".

"New awakened? when did he learn the skills?" sid asked.

"We think they were innate abilities, he comes from a poor family in the low area so affording skills is impossible." the soldier answered.

"He got lucky, this'll change his family's financial situation. Don't stop them, let them in, they seem good enough" sid said before walking away.

Inside a dungeon, danger resides, even with a low ranked dungeon, the correct counter measures against losses must be taken.

Bzzt! BOOM!!

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT???" sid yelled out.

"Sir, the dungeon portal is reacting strangely. the moment the party jumped in, it started changing color and losing control. it looks like a live dungeon." one of the men answered.

"A live dungeon? what the hell are you talking about, this dungeon was cleared 2 weeks ago." sid had a worried expression.

The knowledge of portals was close to none, but still had enough information from all the years of their existence, but such reactions were unexpected, this was the first time sid saw such a thing happen.

A cleared dungeon coming back to life was unheard of.

In the forest, 4 people were running, sweat was obvious on their foreheads, except one, he didn't seem tired and was keeping pace with his party, that was red. every minute or so he would look back and yell "MANA BOLT.."

*BOOM..*

"UGH... YOU FLEA" the monster roared.

The mana bolts were damaging it, it had the power of a grenade, hitting the monster head on left burning fur and obvious damage to it. That was Red's plan, he kept pace with his team and whenever the monster got close he would attack it and hinder it, giving them more time, but he knew that they wouldn't be able to hold on anymore... he had to think of something. they never stopped running since meeting it, justin, ron and nancy would steal glances at red while running, they knew he could have left them and ran, it was obvious that he wasn't tired at all, and protecting them, they were grateful.

"NOW SOL.." yelled red. Suddenly a skeleton appears out of nowhere, jumping from a bush at the side and stabbing the monster's leg with its sword.

"UUGGGHHH.." yelled the monster while falling. it lost its balance, and smashed its head on a tree rendering it in bits, but that didn't kill it, it only left a small injury on its head.

"KEEP ATTACKING...MANA BOLT" yelled red, with sol jumping at it slashing and stabbing, and a mana bolt hitting it at its head. This was an opportunity for him, his team was barely able to keep going.

the mana bolt hit its head with a loud and bright boom, the creature hurriedly got back up on its feet.

ROAR!!!

It was loud, it was full of anger.

"YOU PUNY HUMANS DARE... NOT AGAIN..I'M NOT GOING TO BE DEFEATED AGAIN." roared the beast, slapping sol like it was nothing flinging it and breaking it apart.

Red was not scared of the beast, he knew he could take it on, it might be a little hard but he was confident. He looked back and saw his team on the ground, they were too tired to move anymore just sitting on the ground leaning on a tree.

When he saw them, he knew he had no choice but to attack, with the lightning steps skill, he grabbed justin's sword and with swift movements, ran at the beast. It was big which reduced its speed, it tried to attack with its claws but Red easily dodged it, he was too fast for it.

Red summoned Sol, and while running around it in circles, he kept slashing and stabbing at its feet, the beast was enraged trying to keep up but couldn't, Sol went and stood next to his teammates, he didn't know if a Dogman showed up attacked them so he had sol protect them.

With the constant attacks and Mana bolts going at it, the beast fell on its knees, red had a disappointed look on his face, he overestimated the monster and was expecting a good fight but he was wrong.

"What a joke." muttered red.

He ran around and was about to stab its neck, but then he saw it, the grin on its face, it looked like a Werewolf but huge in size, and the grin made it look terrifying.

"Stupid worm." The beast turned to red and opened its mouth, with a fast move it had red left arm between its teeth.

Red couldn't believe what was happening, he was tricked by this thing, and the look on his face changed.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Red let out a scream. his arm was nothing when faced with the creatures sharp teeth, breaking the Defensive Posture barrier and squashing and breaking his left arm in ways that were unimaginable, with a turn of its head it threw red cross and hit a tree, blood went everywhere.

Red nearly lost consciousness from all the pain, he looked at his arm and saw the horrifying state it was in, even with the Steady Mind skill, he couldn't help but feel scared.

"Healing Touch." with a faint voice, light appeared and covered his arm.

'Time for recovery : 20 mins'

'1 MP decrease per second. Mana insufficient, recovery limited'

The system's messages got red back to reality, his arm was slowly recovering and the pain was gone, he looked up and saw the creature running towards him, still grinning. red grabbed the sword that laid next to him and stood up, reached his right arm with the sword still in it and kept casting mana bolts at the creature, with 5 mana bolts hitting the beast everywhere, it stumbled a little, in that time red grabbed the Racaom Mushrooms he had in his inventory and started eating them.

'Racaom mushroom : restores mana and is an ingredient in magic-restoring elixirs. restores 10MP when eaten raw. (Price : 30$)'

He kept eating and throwing mana bolts at the creature, it was overwhelmed, and fell.

Justin, Ron and Nancy were watching the fight with surprise, Red was taking on the boss by himself, when a party of E rankers was needed to clear the dungeon, and even then they lost one and had several injured.

Red kept at that pace, he didn't want to give that thing any chance to do anything, while walking closer to it from the side.

"MANA BOLT..MANA BOLT..MANA BOLT..MANA BOLT" red kept yelling.

when he got close enough he aimed at its head and yelled. "MANA BOLT".

That had the creature stunned, red raised his hand and stabbed its neck, blood squirted out everywhere, hitting red as well.

"YOU FUCKER!!" red yelled out.

Mana Bolt : A skill that attacks by emitting mana. Attack power increases by INT. Range is 25m. mana consumed -%25. (Level 6 / Active).

Healing Touch : Allows wounds to heal, can be used on self or others. More health generated according to skill level. (Level 3 / Active).

Summon Skeleton : an apprentice-level Conjuration spell. It summons two Skeleton Soldiers that will fight as the caster's ally. (+25% damage dealt / +15% defense) (Level 6 / Active).

Sword Mastery : Allow the user to freely handle swords. Increase in attack damage with swords. 10% increase in attack damage. 5% increase in attack speed. (Level 1 / Passive).

Lightning Steps : utilized by circulating mana to the ankle and synchronizing the flow of mana with the physical movement of stepping, to initiate a foot technique. Time Limit 10 Minutes. (level: 2 / Active).

With a huge sigh, red sat underneath a tree and kept eating the Racaom Mushrooms to insure full recovery..

"Red are you ok??" Nancy asked as she walked over to him, she looked worried, with Justin and Ron behind her.

"Yeah i'm fine, just need some rest." answered red.

"Did anything happen?" asked Sid with a serious expression.

"No sir" reported the soldier.

"I think they're done for, the dungeon somehow reset and judging by their group it's impossible to clear it, what a shame..." said sid.

Bzzt! Ting!!

The sound got all the attention of the people around the portal, they were familiar with it, it was the sound of a cleared dungeon, then after a bit it got back to its previous color.

"Does that mean the party succeeded in clearing it? that's impossible." sid walked over and started checking the dungeon, which confirmed his suspension "all we can do now is wait" he said.

30 minutes later.

Bzzt!

Red, Justin, Ron and Nancy walked out from the dungeon portal, with red clothes still covered in blood.

"Is everyone ok?" sid rushed over and asked.

"NO!" they all yelled at the same time..
