Chapter 4 Dungeon Opening

On the grassy ground, Aomori suddenly opened his eyes. He pushed himself up from the ground with his right hand and shot up over 20 meters high. When he landed, a look of confusion crossed his face: "Is this the dungeon? And my strength feels off, much stronger than before."

Looking around, he saw nothing but tall, straight trees and knee-high grass. Taking a deep breath, he smelled the scent of fresh grass filling the air.

There was some dirt residue on his fingers, so Aomori put it in his mouth and tasted it.

"Phew." Aomori let out a sigh of relief and rubbed his temples.

In many ways, this was terrifying. The world code JL1024 meant there were at least thousands of similar worlds, right? No, perhaps the system was deliberately misleading him.

Completing the quest under different conditions would yield a different number of ☆, with every 3 ☆ granting a treasure chest. The final 9 ☆ chest was the most valuable.

So, it was simple and clear.

Perhaps because this was a newbie dungeon, these tasks seemed manageable with the relaxed time limits. But Aomori wouldn't take them lightly; he would give it his all.

"What do you think, Caterpie?" Aomori stopped the green caterpillar from trying to escape and said seriously, "No, I should call you the Lord of the Sky, Rayquaza Hatchling. Let's start our first battle in this dungeon world!"

The green caterpillar: "Σ(°△°|||)!"

'Concentrate! Thunder Breathing, First Form: Thunderclap and Flash Lightning!'

Aomori activated the Thunder Breathing technique, and arcs of electricity surrounded him, making him appear like the Thunder God himself. With a merciless swing, he slashed at the green caterpillar.

With a deafening roar, the green caterpillar collapsed into a deep pit, its eyes spiraling.

[Ding! Congratulations to Player Aomori for defeating the green caterpillar, gaining 11 experience points and 1 point.]

Indeed, you could gain experience and points without actually killing them, or perhaps they couldn't be killed at all.

Aomori squatted down and examined the green caterpillar. Despite receiving his full-force attack, it only had minor surface burns and had passed out.

Is this all the power I have? It might not even be as strong as a Pikachu's Thunderbolt.

A holy light fell upon the green caterpillar, and its injuries miraculously healed.
