(A/N: IM so sorry everyone I posted the wrong chapters and just realized it thanks to testerer comments, this is the chapter that should have updated yesterday I'm sorry for the inconvenience!🙏🙏🙏)

Huang Zu hearing what Lie Fan had asked him, immediately nodded his head and confirmed to Lie Fan that he was very sure of this decision, he already asked Huang Chao for his opinion who agreed and couldn't wait to serve Lie Fan as his bodyguard, because he wanted to meet with Lie Fan who was said to be on par with Lu Bu, who could defeat Dian Wei in one on one duel.

Lie Fan let out a laugh and told Huang Zu that he wasn't on par with Lu Bu and that Lu Bu was still stronger than him especially when he was besieged in Beihai, where he showed his prowess by taking on Xu Chu, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei.

Maybe not many people knew these three names, but he knew for a fact that all of these names have a very incredible prowess, Xu Chu with his brute strength, Guan Yu with his unparalleled skill, and Zhang Fei with his unrivaled temper that boosts his prowess.

All three couldn't defeat Lu Bu who was poisoned and lacked energy due to his body fighting against the poison, but still could fight a giant the three of them were on par even though Lu Bu sometimes showed signs of him going to be defeated.

But he managed to grit his teeth and buy some time for his army to retreat and for Lie Fan alongside his army to arrive, even though in need he succumbed to the poison and died in peace while standing upright.

Both Huang Zu and Wen Pin were amazed by what Lie Fan had just said, they had heard about Lu Bu's last stand but there were many different stories some exaggerated while the others downgraded.

Now hearing it from one of the parties that were involved in the battle, opened their eyes, especially Wen Pin who wanted to know about what happened, it's not only Wen Pin but every warrior in the land.

Even though Lu Bu is considered by many to be a traitor and a villain who killed his own adoptive fathers, at least there are some qualities that could be admired by all warriors in the land that as his skill and talent in martial arts.

While the two were still immersed in Lie Fan's stories, Lie Fan asked Huang Zu when Huang Chao could go to Xiapi because he wanted to meet him personally and test him to see if he was worthy to join the ranks of his bodyguards.

Huang Zu woke up from his daze hearing Lie Fan's question and replied to him by saying that in around 2 to 3 months, he would return back to Jiangxia to inform his son and then he would come to Xiapi.

Hearing this Lie Fan nodded his head and then turned to Wen Pin, and asked him if he had made his final decision where Wen Pin shook his head, indicating that he hadn't divided his final decision.

As Wen Pin shakes his head, Lie Fan then asks him if he wants to have a mock duel with him or someone under him to make his own decision, and Wen Pin is astounded by Lie Fan's question.

He never expected Lie Fan would suddenly hand out some kind of challenge invitation request to him, and give him the choice of who he wanted to challenge to help him determine his final decision.

Wen Pin was silent for a while, he felt that he should tread carefully in whether to accept or not and if he accepted who he should duel with because he could offend Lie Fan if he decided to duel his generals, but he also could offend the other generals if he accepted Lie Fan.

Lie Fan could see that Wen Pin was in a dilemma and what hard position he had put Wen Pin into, so he added that Wen Pin didn't need to have a mock duel with him but he requested that he choose Zhao Yun a new general under him.

Being relieved from the hard position he was in, Wen Pin was grateful and agreed to Lie Fan's request to have a mock duel with Zhao Yun, hearing Wen Pin agreeing to him Lie Fan smiled and called for a servant to inform Zhao Yun to meet them at the training ground.

After giving that order, Lie Fan stood up from his seat, and seeing this everyone in the hall also stood up from their seat as well. Lie Fan then led them toward the training ground in the Army Center, where they needed to ride their horses to get there.

When they arrive at the training ground, Lie Fan and the others see Zhao Yun already waiting for them there alongside Mi Fang and Xu Rong, who come here to see the duel as when the servant informed Zhao Yun he was with Mi Fang and Xu Rong.

Lie Fan: "Brother Zilong, Mi Fang, and Xu Rong this is General Wen Pin the one who will have the mock duel with Brother Zilong, and this is General Huang Zu who is the Special Governor of Jiangxia and will become one of our Admiral in the Navy."

Zhao Yun: "Greetings General Wen Pin and General Huang Zu, I'm Zhao Yun, Zilong, and beside me are Brother Mi Fang and Brother Xu Rong, there three of us are personal generals for My Lord's battalion."

Wen Pin: "Greetings General Zhao Yun, thank you for accepting the mock duel arranged by Lord Lie Fan, I hope that we can trade much insight from this duel."

Zhao Yun: "I do hope that as well General Wen Pin, and I will never refuse a friendly duel especially if My Lord was the one who arranged this duel, it would also be an honor for me to fight in My Lord's name."

Wen Pin: "I see haha well then should we start or is there something we should do before we start the duel, Lord Lie Fan?"

Lie Fan hearing this shook his head and said that they could start whenever they wanted, so after obtaining Lie Fan's permission both Wen Pin and Zhao Yun took their preferred training weapon from the weapon stand.

Zhao Yun took a training spear, while Wen Pin took a training glaive and they headed toward their position and took their stance, Lie Fan acted as the judge between their duel, and seeing that they were ready, he announced the start of the duel.

Both Zhao Yun and Wen Pin circled the training ground, focusing on their opponent in front of them. Wen Pin especially was being very cautious, because he could feel the sudden changes in Zhao Yun's aura when he stepped foot into the training ground.

He could feel the oppressiveness coming from Zhao Yun, especially the piercing and dangerous eyes that came from Zhao Yun, he considered the aura to be on the same level as Dian Wei and Huang Zhong whom he had met in Jiangxia.

Seeing how cautious Wen Pin is, Zhao Yun knew that Wen Pin wouldn't make the first move so he at a fast speed headed toward Wen Pin, and struck Wen Pin with a thrust targeted at his abdomen.

Zhao Yun's action caught Wen Pin off guard due to how fast he was, fortunately, his body reacted and parried Zhao Yun's move but the moment his glaive came into contact with Zhao Yun's spear, he could feel the strength that Zhao Yun had.

After managing to parry Zhao Yun's attack, Wen Pin struck down toward Zhao Yun using his glaive but Zhao Yun easily dodged the attack and swung the tip of his spear toward Wen Pin's side managing to hit Wen Pin.

Feeling the attack Wen Pin immediately takes several steps backward, if this was a real duel and had a real weapon he would have been wounded by Zhao Yun, and even though he was hit he could feel that Zhao Yin reduced the power he used to hit him.

The control Zhao Yun has over his strength amazed Wen Pin because not many generals could do what Zhao Yun has just done, controlling your strength is much harder than training your strength and skill.

Because in the heat of battle, adrenaline could cloud your judgment and decision making, where instinct takes and your body moves according to its reflexes and body memory.

So knowing that Zhao Yun was not only very strong but also very skilled, Wen Pin launched a swinging attack toward Zhao Yun targeting his spear and managing to hit the upper part of the spear.

Where he then continued by positioning his glaive below the spear and tried to wrench it from Zhao Yun's hand but unfortunately his action failed, as Zhao Yim reacted to his movement by kicking him in the chest and using him as a footing to do a backflip.

Due to the kick, Wen Pin was pushed backward but managed to stand tall, while Zhao Yun took a combat stance with his spear ready to attack, he waited for Wen Pin to also take a combat stance before launching his counterattack.

The fierce exchange happened between the two, where bout after bout was traded between them, and Wen Pin could feel that he was losing with each bout being traded.

In terms of strength, skill, and stamina he could feel that he was drastically below Zhao Yun, this didn't make him pessimistic about his chance, but only added fuel to the burning fire inside to continue even though he knew he would lose.

Wen Pin was also admired by Lie Fan, and the reason is that it wasn't just a coincidence many strong and talented generals flocked to Lie Fan, like Huang Zhong, Dian Wei, Taishi Ci, Zhang Liao, and Zhao Yun.

There must be something that attracted them to swear their allegiance to the Lie Fan, the fastest rising man in the Han Imperial Army and the previous youngest Warlord of the land, where that title was taken now by Sun Ce who succeeded Sun Jian.

He was determined now to find out what it that attracted many talents to flock to Lie Fan, and that helped him finally decide that he would swear his allegiance to Lie Fan, when he made that decision relief coursed through his veins.

When making that final decision, Wen Pin was distracted for a moment, and Zhao Yun noticed that so he took advantage of it to end this mock duel early, and it worked as Wen Pin was caught off guard as his glaive was flying in the air being propelled by Zhao Yun, and with that the mock duel ended in cheers and applause from the people who watched them, especially Lie Fan who was satisfied with the performance.
