350. Deciding The Wedding Date

This surprised Lie Fan who was in awe at the fast speed of his mother and his future mother in law in becoming friends, seeing this he turned to Lu Lingqi and winked his eyes causing her to blush and all of this was noticed by both Lady Yan and Yu Yan, who looked at each other and let out a gentle laugh as the both of them could see what each other was thinking.

Everyone was surprised by Yu Yan and Lady Yan who suddenly laughed, confused as to why the two of them suddenly laughed ignoring their confusion Yu Yan took hold of Lady Yan's arm and brought her inside, and Lie Fan alongside the others who saw this followed them.

Lie Shang stands beside Yu Yan who is talking with Lady Yan, while behind them are Lie Fan and Lu Lingqi who are walking side by side.

Lu Lingqi with a small voice asked Lie Fan if he already told his parents about the two of them, hence why Lie Fan's Mother acted that way. Lie Fan shook his head and whispered to Lu Lingqi that he hadn't even had the chance to tell them yet.

He proceeds to tell Lu Lingqi that his father and mother's arrival was a surprise to him and that they didn't inform him or his advisors whatsoever, so he doesn't even have the time to talk about their relationship.

Lu Lingqi nodded her head believing what Lie Fan had just said, and when she wanted to respond to Lie Fan she was interrupted by both Lady Yan and Yu Yan who suddenly turned their head and called Lu Lingqi to join them.

Surprised by this, Lu Lingqi turned toward Lie Fan and said goodbye quietly, then did a small run toward Lady Yan and Yu Yan where she was positioned between the two of them, and then they continued walking toward the main hall.

Lie Shang could see that he was being pushed away by his wife, so he could only join his son, and then the two of them talked about Lie Fan's recent achievements where he managed to conquer Jiangxia.

On the way toward the Main Hall, they meet with Ying Yue, Diao Chan, and Cai Wenji who are bringing the children toward the garden with Wannian and Sima Yi following close behind.

All three of Lie Fan's wives were astonished when they saw Lie Shang and Yu Yan, as they weren't told that their father and mother in law were coming to visit, Wannian who saw her mother immediately ran up to her and hugged her tightly.

Wannian: "Mother!! Father!! What a surprise! Why didn't the two of you send a letter to inform me of your visit?!"

Yu Yan: "Look at you, already so big but still acted like a little kid. Mother and Father didn't inform the two of you because we wanted to surprise you, your brother, your sisters, and your nephew and nieces."

Ying Yue: "It was truly a big surprise Mother, if only you had informed us we would have the servants clean your room again."

Lie Shang: "Haha it's okay, we are staying at the Serenity Inn, Yan'er has prepared a permanent room for us on the top floor so don't worry, we come here to take a look at our grandson and granddaughter, Chenchen Yaoyao do you miss grandpa and grandma?"

Lie Muchen + Lie Meng Yao: "We miss Grandpa and Grandma very much! Grandpa and Grandma let's play with Yanyan and Nuonuo in the garden!"

Chenchen and Yaoyao nodded their head listening to Yu Yan's words, and they pulled Ying Yue's hand to hurry toward the garden.

Ying Yue, Diao Chan, and Cai Wenji turned their head to look at each other and could see that they knew the reason why Yu Yan wanted to talk with Lie Fan, seeing that Lu Lingqi was there.

So the three of them after talking for a short time with Yu Yan and Lie Shang, said their goodbyes to everyone there while giving Lie Fan a sweet glance and then left bringing their children to the garden.

Wannian wanted to follow suit but Yu Yan held her hand and told her to follow them, as she also had something to talk about with her, and Wannian could only nod her head.

Sima Yi seeing this could see that this was a private setting, so he wanted to take his leave but Lie Shang told him to stay and follow them, as he was Lie Fan's page and needed to stay by his side almost all the time.

Sima Yi turned to Lie Fan and seeing that Lie Fan nodded his head, he walked toward Lie Fan and stood behind him while thinking about the reason why he was also told to stay, and not only him Lie Fan was also surprised but stayed silent as he wanted to see what his Father and Motehr wanted to do.

So the group becomes bigger with the addition of Sima Yi and Wannian, after a couple of minutes they arrive at the main hall and Lie Fan the head of the estate sits at the main seat while Lie Shan sits beside him.

As for Yu Yan, he brought Lady Yan, Lu Lingqi, and Wannian to take a seat on the right side together, and then before Lie Fan could say a word, Yu Yan suddenly asked him when he would hold his wedding with Lu Lingqi.

Lu Lingqi who was drinking the tea that had just been served was surprised by what she heard causing her to cough as she choked the tea she was drinking, and Wannian who was beside her immediately stroked her back trying to help her calm down.

Lie Fan was also surprised and his eyes turned wide hearing what his mother had just said, he was confused as to how his mother and father knew about this as he hadn't had the chance to tell the both of them yet.

Lu Lingqi after calming herself realized what Yu Yan had just said, and her face turned bright red real quick while glaring at Lie Fan, blaming him for lying to her. Lie Fan seeing this let out a small cough and then addressed what his mother had just said.

Lie Fan: "Ahem, Mother how do you know about me and Qi'er? I haven't had the chance to tell both you and Father, is this the reason why both of you visiting here without informing me?"

Yu Yan: "Humph! Now you boy finally realized it! As for how we know, we have our own channel. Now back to the topic, since you have even kissed her don't tell me that you wouldn't take responsibility for your action?!"

Lu Lingqi: "A-aunty h-how do you know about that?! Wait, Mother, it must have been you the one who told Aunty about this! Because I only tell this to you and Brother Lie Fan would never tell anybody!"

Lady Yan: "Fufufu yes that's true, I was the one who told my future in law about your kiss with Lord Lie Fan. Mother apologizes for doing so but you are Mother and your late Father's only child, Mother is just afraid that Lord Lie Fan wouldn't take responsibility."

Lie Shang: "Don't worry Lady Yan! If this brat doesn't want to take responsibility for what he did, I will be the one who teaches him a lesson! Even though he was more.powerful and hold a much higher position than me, as his father I still could teach him a lesson."

Lie Fan: "Wait a minute everyone! Please allow me to talk, I have never said that I wouldn't take responsibility for Qi'er Lady Yan so please rest assured, as for our marriage date as long as Qi'er is ready and willing we could hold the marriage any time."

Yu Yan: "You have heard yourself Qi'er what Fan'er has just said, as long as you want it don't worry Aunty will help you get married to Fan'er, why would you wait for a long time when you could get married as soon as possible right?"

Lu Lingqi's face which was already bright red turned even red, causing her to look down to hide her shyness while her fingers were fidgeting.

Inside her head, only Lie Fan's words about marrying her lingered and were repeated countless times, and hearing what Yu Yan said she thought that it made sense and finally nodded her head shyly while saying with a low voice that she wanted to marry Lie Fan.

Hearing what she said, both Lady Yan and Yu Yan let out applause and laughed happily at what Lu Lingqi had just said. Lie Fan who heard this also turned his eyes toward Lu Lingqi, who has gentleness and affection for the woman he never expected to marry in the past when he first encountered her.

Lu Lingqi who was finally confident enough to look up, coincidentally her eyes met with Lie Fan's eyes that were overflowing with gentleness and affection for her, and even though she was shy she also let out a sweet smile to him.

Their interaction was seen by Yu Yan, Lady Yan, and Lie Shang who then proceeded to discuss when they would set the wedding date, Yu Yan excitedly said that she already asked a monk for an auspicious date.

She then proceeds to inform them of the date, with the earliest in two months and the longest in 4 to 5 months, Lady Yan then told Yu Yan that she thinks the sooner the better so they should choose the earliest date.

Lie Shang and Yu Yan who hear what Lady Yan said immediately give their agreement, Lie Fan and Lu Lingqi can't keep up with how fast their parents are deciding on their wedding date.

With Lie Shang and Yu Yan already given their agreement, Lady Yan then asked Lie Fan and Lu Lingqi if they agreed with the date that she, Yu Yan, and Li Shang had already picked.

Lie Fan tells Lady Yan that whatever Lu Lingqi decides is also what he decides, so everything is up to Lu Lingqi. Hearing this Lu Lingqi let out another sweet smile that dazzled Lie Fan was amazed at her smile once again, Lu Lingqi then gave her agreement after being silent for a while and so with her answer everyone was happy as the date for the marriage was finally set in two months.
