CHAPTER 3: FIRST DAY [2]

After having lunch, I and Ginny went outside burrow, weather was cloudy and windy with little sunshine between. I had old broomstick.

Broomsticks, also known as brooms, were one of the means employed by wizards and witches to transport themselves between locations. Wizarding broomsticks, unlike non-magical brooms, were enchanted to fly, allowing for a witch or wizard to travel to their destination through the air, as well as for playing broom games such as Quidditch.

At home, old Clean Sweep five which were put into production from 1953, As Draco Malfoy said they can be put into Museums if they were car models in muggle world. Its only advantage is that they are durable as old Nokia mobile phone. It flies pretty stable, generally used to teach kids. It just looks ugly.

Ginny and I came far from burrows only its silhouette can be seen from here. After I first started warming up sitting on broom and flying slowly trying to get a feel then kept it on the ground and then starting first step shown in movie.

Put my right hand over the broom and said

"UP"

It didn't respond first time, I tried to remember in the fuzzy memories of Ron to get the technique, in memories its like feeling of old scooter ignition kick, you can get it done after tries it depends on moment of feel, you have to keep strong will on it.

I tried three times it leaped in my right hand, brooms enchanted with magic get moody as they age, new ones obey pretty quickly.

After getting it up sitting posture I tried to visualize I was on flying scooter, I raised the height up to one meter and then accelerated slowly at 5 kmph then started playing around and taking sharp corner. Ginny smiling and waving her hand at me, I also tried to smile and started raising up to five meters in height than increased speed to 20 kmph, it felt as I was speedster of Akina taking sharp turns, wind flowing against me stinging my eyes, I wish I had helmet even sunglasses would work too, after flying for five minutes then went to Ginny.

After coming in front Ginny telling her to sit in front of me like a on bicycle with two legs on one side and after putting hand around my torso and told her to grab tight, broom after sitting on automatically activate softening charm its like sitting on sponge covered with rubber. So its pretty comfortable and enchanted flying brooms use small amount of magic so brooms are used for transport frequently than apparition as it is much risk free than other choices.

I started raising broom up to 1 meter and started accelerating slowly, I kept speed at slow and comfortable and started raising height to five meters traveling forward slowly. It was another kind fun with Ginny tightly hug and scent mixed with green grassy smell little sunshine as we kept going until we reached plains filled with purple and white small flowers. This scenery made my mind filled with inner peace and smile bloomed on both mine and Ginny's face.

After going down and playing with Ginny and flying fast around the sky after 2 hours of playing around we got back but this time Ginny said to speed up I started racing with wind still kept it under control we started to make our way to The Burrow. It was already evening when we had returned. After freshening up I started mixing up with my brothers listening to their jokes and Percy's scowls and mom shouting twins till father Arthur Weasley came home and after dinner started to get sleepy as it was exciting day in child's body.

After coming to room in attic looking at admission letter on table once again after brushing up got into bed looking at reflection on mirror on the side and roof after hearing the banging of the Ghoul that rings regularly in Ron's memories, I closed my eyes thinking if these is a dream then don't wake up.
