CHAPTER 2: FIRST DAY [1]

Opening the cabinet in the room I took out the trunk in which all school supplies had packed up, I took out the book of spells and the old wand I had got from Charlie to try magic spells, trying to experience magic, I was really excited for trying magic as it impossible in the past world.

As I thought which spell to try I thought it is difficult to cast magic for rookie like me I should call Ginny also as shown in movie she is talented in magic.

I walked out of my room to call Ginny to my room, it will be more fun to try magic with Ginny cheering.

I knocked on Ginny's room and called her name

"Hey Ginny, I need your help"

After that I got into her room, her room was much like girls room with some stuffed toys and her dresses and shoes with pink walls, with unicorn poster moving magically.

"What it is Ron"

She asked me

I replied that I need her help for while inviting her in my room to practice magic. She was also excited to try magic with me as she also never had tried magic other than watching other brothers and parents doing magic.

"Let's go to my room so as to not make mess in your room"

Ginny "Ok"

We came to my room and I closed the so mom will not notice us and then with Ginny started to choose which magic spell to try in the First Year textbook.

After discussing with ginny we chose simplest spell in the book which was wand-lightening spell, in book it said it.

"The Wand-Lighting Charm is simple, but requires concentration. Take care not to accidentally set your wand alight as damage of this kind can be permanent. If in any doubt about your abilities you would do better to buy yourself a magic lantern."

I took my wand and started to practice the gestures shown in book and Ginny demonstrating the pronunciation of the spell

Ginny "Incantation: Lumos. Pronunciation: (LOO-mos)"

Ron "Ok let's try [LUU-MooS]"

I tried ribbon gestures of spell shouted the incantation and nothing special happened. My old wand didn't show any reaction.

Ginny said "you must focus and chant properly not just shouting"

I replied "ok I will try again"

After that I tried again while concentrating and chanting in normal tone. After trying countless times and listening to Ginny's explanation after reading the spell book

Ron "Loomos"

[white light flashing]

For a second wand lighted up with white flash and stopped,

Seeing finally successful magic I was excited and happy, I hugged Ginny and hopped while laughing and shouting

"I did it"

Ginny was also smiling, after that I tried to do it again, this time it lasted more than five seconds after I broke concentration it went out.

As I and ginny spent till afternoon still I couldn't fully control it,

It only lasted for ten seconds and concentration broke out or there will be mistakes while making gestures. While Ginny was reading full basics in spell book and suggesting and then I handed wand to Ginny so she can also try to have fun and we spent our time till it was lunch time after I stopped and kept the wand and went down for lunch I and Ginny were hungry after practicing spell.

I told "ginny we will try spell again tomorrow after lunch we will play whatever you want."

Ginny "I want to go outside ride the broom and watch the plain it is filled with rain flower's, can you take me on the broom"

Ron "I have only tried broom riding after this year's birthday, I haven't carried anyone on back, but you want then let's try practicing first"

After we went to have lunch, this time twins were also there for lunch, they must have busy planning their prank products and Ron was their ginny pig, so he tried to careful while eating lunch only after mom was there did I dare to have lunch. It was delicious.
