The Promise
"ROOOAR!" The drake screamed in pain as it lifted its foot, its foot scorched by the green aura that engulfed Ossa.
"I can't beat you in your expertise. I guess I am too weak. I will have to beat you with all that I've got," Ossa's voice sounded in the drake's tympanum, the drake's muscles tensing as it heard these words.
Instinctively, it jumped back, causing the earth to quake slightly.
Now a couple of meters from Ossa, the two looked at each other, Ossa with a calm expression while the drake had confusion in its eyes, the power emanating from Ossa confusing it.
"What's going on?" it thought, surprised that the peculiar human now seemed more powerful than it had presumed.
As the drake was lost in thought, Ossa's mana, plus the large amount of mana he had taken from his comrades, started to churn as the rings around his mana heart moved vigorously, the mana in the air responding to his will.
