Now it makes sense, Jonas took care not to enter the territory of any predator, but there are predators that hunt beyond their territories, these are those who travel long distances seeking a prey that is worth.

Apparently, this species of tiger became interested in the human smell and chased him all the way here.

'Thank God I decided to get up here before this thing caught me.'

He was relying on his strangely keen senses to avoid the dangers, but he did not expect there to be predators so cunning that they did not even emit a sound during a chase or smell.

As he did not have much to do, he decided to wait on a branch. However, an hour had passed, and the tiger was still tirelessly prowling the tree.

Then Jonas realized that there's no point in remaining. The animal chased him for so many miles, he wouldn't give up tonight.

So, he had to think of a new plan. Some plan that would allow the beast to be avoided, while heading to his goal. After all, it wasn't long before the sun came up.

After thinking for a while, he knew what he had to do, it was a risky and completely idiotic plan, but it was the only one that could work.

In this way, he rose from the branch where he was, once again observed the direction he should follow, and took a deep breath. There was no room for fail.

But before continuing, he looked down, the tiger had now stopped the prowling, and look interested in Jonas's change of attitude, stared at him fiercely.

The boy laughed and shouted, "Come get me now, Garfield!"

And he jumped out of the tree.

Jonas felt the wind whipped his body as he fell into free fall, the adrenaline in his veins boosted his mind, hundreds of thoughts came in an instant, nothing escaped his vision. And in the middle of his fall, he grabbed the branch of the neighboring tree.

The branch broke immediately, but he did not despair, soon the following branch came against his body reducing his speed and when the third emerged, he managed to hold it.

After stabilizing, Jonas looked again at the Tiger. He had become more excited about the expectation that his snack had arrived earlier, but as his wish did not materialize, he became angrier.

"I'll make you an offer, pussy! Stop following me and I'll buy you a 'Whiskas Sachet', how about it?" (it's cat food in Brazil)

*ROOOAR*

"Don't you like it? So how about 10 Whiskas Sachets? It's my last proposal."

*ROOOAR*

"Wow, you're hard to please."

Strangely, Jonas did not feel desperate about his situation, he felt quite comfortable in this environment.

At first, the forest frightened him, but little by little an instinct of familiarity arose in his mind and body, as if he were going through a process of accelerated adaptation. He didn't know what had changed, but he certainly didn't want it to stop now.

With that in mind he continued his jumps, jumping from tree to tree with more and more ease. At first, he still made mistakes of choosing the wrong branches, but after the seven time he had already automated the correct way to jump, the jump movements, how to hold on the other side and how to distribute the weight of the fall.

Everything came naturally to him.

The chase continued for another two hours, Jonas was concerned about the speed at which he progressed, as it was much slower than when he walked.

So, he thought about no longer avoiding predator territories. In fact, he would make a point of going through them, if his luck is good, one of them would attack the tiger and that would guarantee him some time to escape.

Shortly thereafter he felt a characteristic smell of territory demarcation. Jonas looked down, but the tiger had not hesitated, it was still on his tail.

And another half an hour later, no other creature has emerged. From what it looked like the territory they were in was not of a very strong animal.

'I was unlucky this time, but there's more ahead.'

They went through three more territories and still nothing happened. Which could only be explained by the tiger's dominance, he was probably at the top of the food chain here and that was a big problem.

Jonas could not simply bring this monstrosity with him to a human camp, he would be responsible for a massacre. That said, only one alternative was left.

'I can already feel my stomach turning over.'

He looked in the northmost direction, it wouldn't be a major route diversion until his final goal, so by the time it was feasible, but that territory was not of an ordinary beast.

Jonas did not know how he had gained this survival instinct, but he had learned to trust him completely and be able to feel a great danger was among the characteristics of that instinct.

He just failed to predict the arrival of the tiger, but from what he knows this may be due to the sneaky characteristics of the animal.

However, the beast in the northernmost territory is sending a very clear signal: "Back off if you don't want to die."

Without thinking too much, after all if he gives it a second thought he would never do that.

When he changed his path, for the first time the tiger hesitated to continue to pursue him, which cheered Jonas, that means he fears whatever it is in that place.

However, in the end, the animal decided to continue, apparently, he is too proud to let his prey escape like this. Jonas laughed at himself.

'You'll regret it, Top Cat.'

It took another half an hour for both to reach the new territory and, contrary to what happened the other time, it didn't take even five minutes for a thunderous roar to come from the deepest parts of the forest.

Soon after, Jonas cold hear heavy footsteps and the violent rustling of trees in the distance. The pressure increased as the creature approached. His legs faltered, he held on to the tree with everything he had.

When the creature appeared it shocked Jonas. It was a monster that walked on four paws that looked like hands, he had no apparent fur, only a thick gray skin.

Its head was rounded with sharp teeth and a long tail. It was at least 5 meters high.

Harsh reality has struck Jonas mercilessly. All this time he had not paraded to carefully analyze his situation.

After all, he had come out of that river and ended up in the heart of a completely foreign forest, it made no sense. And all these creatures, all right, the tiger can be overlooked, but this thing can only come from another world.

'Another world...'

In the meantime, of reflection, the tiger roared back to the creature, but its fear was noticeable, he did not want to enter a conflict with someone stronger, but his obsession with their prey was stronger than its fear.

The tiger's horns lit up and its body split into eight. Jonas saw it with wide eyes. The other creature took this as a challenge and advanced against his enemy.
