The Birth of the Scarlet Witch

Tony Stark stroked his chin, his expression slightly embarrassed, as the Quiz game revealed his future Ultron project, which ultimately failed.

"All they do is play dumb. I don't even have to guess to know their plans will fall through," he said nonchalantly.

"Considering how brilliant I am and the Ultron project still failed, their scheming at S.W.O.R.D., trying to follow up a lost cause, is just wishful thinking."

Meanwhile, in the video, Wanda was also infuriated. She couldn't restrain herself any longer and, using her powers, shattered the bulletproof glass to directly storm into the laboratory below, ignoring the S.W.O.R.D. agents' guns pointed at her. She only had eyes for her former lover.

She slowly extended her hand towards Vision's forehead, where the Mind Stone once resided, now a shattered void. Wanda's face was filled with immense grief. "I can't feel you anymore..."

This was their little secret as lovers, which had supported her in facing Thanos' threat—the support, encouragement, and presence of her lover.

But now, she couldn't feel any of it. The warmth of the soul and heart had dissipated, leaving behind only a cold, lifeless body.

Many viewers couldn't help but shed tears at this scene, especially those who had lost their partners. They could deeply relate to Wanda's sorrow and heartache.

Under such circumstances, if Wanda had gone berserk and levelled S.W.O.R.D. to the ground, many viewers would probably have applauded. But Wanda did not do so; she turned around and left this place of sorrow, complying with S.W.O.R.D.'s arrangement and not taking Vision's body with her.

So, how did Vision appear in Westview later on?

Many were puzzled at this point. Earlier in the video, they saw Wanda breaking into the S.W.O.R.D. laboratory and witnessed the dissection of Vision, naturally assuming that Wanda must have taken Vision's body to Westview afterwards to bring back her lost love. But that wasn't the case.

Curious to know more, Wanda decided to drive away but found an envelope on the passenger seat with an address. Following that, she ended up in a secluded town in New Jersey—Westview.

She wandered around the town and finally stopped in front of a foundation. Clearly, a house was supposed to be built here, with the foundation already laid out, but perhaps due to some accident, the construction plan was halted, and the site was overgrown with weeds.

Holding the envelope, Wanda got out of the car, looking despondently at the foundation. She took out a document from the envelope—it was the deed to the property, bearing the names of Wanda and Vision, with a special red heart drawn on it. Inside the heart, it read: "A place to grow old together, love, Vision..."

That date highlighted at the video's start, August 23rd, was supposed to be the day Vision and Wanda moved into their new home...

This was the future home Vision had prepared for himself and Wanda—a warm and eagerly anticipated home. Even heroes endowed with superpowers dream of a simple life of growing old with their loved ones.

Holding the deed, Wanda couldn't help but kneel down and weep. The dream home was right beneath her feet, but the person who was supposed to be by her side could never return. Without him, what was the point of this home?

Outside the video, the audience, already moved by the love story of Wanda and Vision, were now crying even harder. Even superheroes like Iron Man and Captain America couldn't help but feel a sting in their eyes.

As superheroes, they share the simple desires and demands of ordinary people—risking their lives to save the world, a duty and obligation dictated by their conscience. But dreaming of a peaceful life with their loved ones, and growing old together remains an unattainable dream for them.

As an observer, one could see that Wanda was completely enveloped by sorrow and pain, as she said, drowning under wave after wave of pressure.

But there was another possibility, amidst endless grief, loneliness, and the longing for a beautiful life, Wanda erupted. Accompanied by a scream, a powerful energy of scarlet mixed with black surged from her, creating a real house out of nothing—a dream home.

Yet Wanda was not satisfied. She intensified the scarlet magic, and in an instant, it spread throughout the town. Everything touched by the scarlet magic—houses, buildings, cars on the streets, and pedestrians—was silently altered and transformed.

What was even more astonishing was that Wanda still didn't stop because the most important person in the house—the main man—had yet to appear.

Thus, the scarlet magic continued to surge, finally, from nothing to something, sculpting out the lover she yearned for day and night.

"My goodness…" Tony shook his head, marvelling, "Such magical and convenient magic, completely disregarding any objective laws."

Vision was the future him, created through the Mind Stone and the artificial intelligence J.A.R.V.I.S., consuming who knows how many brain cells in the process, not an easy feat. Yet for Wanda, it was but a snap of the fingers.

"It's not ordinary magic she's using, it's chaos magic!" Stephen stared at the screen where Wanda was, "I should have realized earlier. The nickname the quiz game gave her is the Scarlet Witch. Who else could it be but the legendary Scarlet Witch?"

"What legend?" Steve asked, frowning.

Doctor Strange, however, played coy, "Keep watching, I think that witch will explain everything to us."

In the video, the truth behind Westview's illusion was fully revealed, and the witch Agatha also came to understand the secrets of Wanda's magic. She snapped her fingers, pulling Wanda back from time rewinding to reality.

Wanda had barely recovered from these memories when she heard children crying for help outside. She hurried out.

There she saw Agatha using magical ropes to bind her two children by their necks, arrogantly floating in mid-air, "Wanda, you have no idea how dangerous you are, possessing the power to change the world, yet look at what you've done? Created a childish and ludicrous illusion… such a waste of talent."

"...Your children, Vision, and the domestic life you've created, all stem from chaos magic!" Witch Agatha stared at Wanda with a meaningful look, "Wanda, and thus you have become the Scarlet Witch!"
