Chapter 5

When Yere remember the scene in front of her, she felt like she had been shocked by lightning

The man in black raise his sword closer to her neck

" Who are you ?" he repeat impatiencetly

Yere mind is at chaos, her gulped loudly

"I...i.." She shutter

From his cover hood, Yere can feel a killing gaze from the man

she felt her collar tightening. Then, she was in the air.

She was flying?!

No! She wasn't flying! Someone had lifted her up!

She  turned around frantically and noticed a person in black holding her by the collar. He was like an eagle that had captured a chicken! She was so scared that she almost lost consciousness.

Because she realized there was a very serious problem!

Because she is at the scene where the villain kill the servent, her leg nearly give away

"Lord , what am I going to do with this maid ?" The man bow his infront of him, still holding her colar tightly

Yere want to shout

' You dipshit I am not a maid ' but she didn't dare.

She remember she choose a simple and cheap dress for a night dress instead of those  luxurious and colourful night dress. She think that the maid night dress look more comfortable that those luxurious dress but how could she know this kind of situation would happen where she was mistreated as a maid

Yere felt suffocating, she look at the direction he bow but see nothing but darkness

" Kill her " a cold voice said

The voice have no emotion, just like a robot no feeling. Its like life and death had nothing to do with him

When she heard the voice she feel danger from it but....also a feeling of familiarity

Hearing the order, the man raise his sword up hight and preparing to kill her

" B..brother....." Her voice shiver

Although her voice is really low, the silent night make her voice audible

In a flash a slander hand extend from the darkness and touch her chin

When the hand contact with her skin, she feel that an ice touch her. She even thought that the hand belong to a cropse.

So cold...no even a little bit of temperature can be found

Seeing the lord odd behaviour, the men in black look at the scence in wide eyes

the man who beg for his life also look at the scene oddly

He thought the Duke will surely kill him, if only he didn't destroy that painting.

He clean up the Duke room and see an old painting

He think that the painting is not the Duke's property because it is too old and the painting did not look worthy at all

He think someone accidentally put them in the Duke's room so.. he destroy it

He was pull out from his bed by a man and bring him here and try to kill him just because of a mere painting

That old painting doesn't look worthy at all but he thought why would the Duke have that old painting if it doesn't  worthy

Or the paiting have a deep meaning for the Duke ? How unlucky he is, of all thing why did he have to throw that painting

Yere bow her head but a hand raise chin which made her look up, she come face to face with the owner of the hand

" What are you doing here ?" The words we're gritted out from his teeth

She couldn't help but quiver from head to toe. She instantly looked alert.

When she stared into those icy pupils, she feel a rush of cold air from the bottom of her feet inching up towards the tip of her head.

Oh God! What a cold glance!

Alfred eyes narrowed and his pupils looked as deep as a sword. So scary!

This man was truly too dangerous!

" I..i .." a peculiar sound suddenly erupted. It shattered the whole mystifying atmosphere.

"Eh..."

"..."

Hearing that strange noise stunned both of them.

Yerr slowly opened her tightly shut eyes. She looked so embarrassed.

The odd noise continued. "Gu lu gu lu" On this extraordinary quiet night, the sound was especially clear.

At this moment, despite not wanting to die, she had an urge to immediately end her life.

Because, the sound was coming from her stomach. In addition, it wasn't stopping. In fact, she sounded like a device on vibration.

Deep down, she was upset at her own stomach. She wanted to die with dignity, ok?

But who can blame her she is just too hungry?

System - Holy cow.....pusff

The system burst out laughing

The atmosphere is oddly silent,

the three men in black try their best to supress their laugh

Currently, Yerenica wanted to hide in a hole.

Looking stupid in front of the villain was even more unbearable than getting killed.

Yere was probably overly stimulated, because all of a sudden, she no longer feared her opponent. She gritted her teeth seeing they hold their laugh, she roared

" You can laugh if you want !!" she blurted.

She don't know who is she angry at...the three man who hold their laugh or the system to mock her or the villain who silently look at her or to herself

Alfred slightly frown

" come"

A man step forward

" Yes Lord "

" Order the kitchen to make something "

The man hesitate " But my lord its night....."

" And " Alfred turn to him expressionlessly

The man bow his head even lower.

" As you order "

' What can he do there is no different between nighttime and day for their Duke '

" No need to bother them ,I can cook by myself " Yere stop him

The surrounded remain silent for a long  time

" You can cook ? " Alfred break the silent

Yere rub her nose nervously

" Um...not really but I can try..." She bite her inner cheeks

The real Yere cant cook but she can cook

She felt a strong gaze at her but she ignore it

" come " he order again

Hearing his order De lee in black took a step toward maid sleeping quarter

" I say I can cook " Yere stop him

' Why is no one believe me ? She is a twenty first century women, who is independent and  live by herself. She ofcourse know how to cook'

" Don't make trouble " he look at her

Yere know that the villain don't believe her.

She puff her cheek in annoyed

Alfred's thin, cold voice echoed from above.

" 1"

"Your subordinate is here Master"

Following Alfred 's voice, a ghost-like black shadow silently appeared outside of the pavilion. He immediately got down on one knee and respectfully waited for his master's instructions.

Yere look at the man in silver mask who suddenly appear

'Did he just say master ?'

Yere is really shock

In the story there are only a group of people who call Alfred as Master

They are Black shadow group

A group Alfred establish when he was young

They are the most dangerous killer group ever in history

There are only a few people who know Alfred was their Master

They are really loyal to Alfred

Even if Alfred order them to kill Emperor they will do it without hesitation

The man kneel down and bow his head respectfully

He was one of the dark shadow that Alfred had trained. He had pledged to only remain loyal to him; even the Emperor would have to step aside! (in terms of loyalty)

Alfred had raised a few shadow guard ever since he was young. They were always instructed to take on dangerous jobs or tasks that had to remain unseen.

Regardless of what their master wanted them to do, they would do it without a word of complaint; be it assassinating others or setting places on fire. Even if their master wanted them to commit suicide, they would follow his wishes. After all, their lives were saved by their master. So their lives belonged to their master.

Since they were shadow guards, emotions were forbidden.

So, 1 always had a frozen expression all year round. Even if the sky fell down, his expression would remain the same.

But when 1 heard his order, his frozen expression showed signs of cracking.

"Go cook a bowl of noodles and bring it here!"

Alfred remained expressionless. His order was simple and easy to understand, but for number 1 it was like thunder rolls entering his ears.

He was so shocked that he raised his head up to look at his master. He had to make sure his master wasn't joking.

When he confirmed that his master was serious, his mouth twitched.

He had been with his master for over a decade, and his master had always ordered him to commit terrible crimes that couldn't be seen in the light.

This was the first time he had been ordered to cook a bowl of noodles.

Although he was conflicted, he lightly nodded and instantly lifted the extremity of his foot. 

Yere look at the forgotten man, who kneel down with a face full of tears.

Her eyes flash with light and smile brightly

" Brother , I don't want to eat what he made " she point at the man in silver mask

" Hmm ? " Alfred raised his eyebrow at her

" I don't like him"

Number 1 "___" For shadow guard its forbidden to fall in love but he heard about love at first sight but this is the first time he know there is also hate at first sight

" I want that servant to make it for me, he look more good than him " she look at the man on the ground and smirk at the silver man

Number 1 "_____" Lady, did I ever do something to oppose you

Seeing Alfred nod De lee walk pass number 1 and pull up the servant on the ground and take him to the kitchen.

" Wait " Yere call them again

" You...yes the man in silver mask.

You go too, watch carefully how he cook and learn from him " the man in silver face stiff

Number 1 "____" Why do I feel like she is targetting me

He awkwardly stand on his place until the De lee beside him pull him toward the kitchen

He don't know what he did to be target by the lady, he never face this kind of situation.

He is the most trusted Duke subordinate and also the leader of shadow guard, just when did he opposed her ?

He was at loss

System - Really poor boy to be bullied by a

witch

' Hump he deserve it.. he is the one who kill Yerenica at the story'

System - But why not bully the one who gave him order

' Do you think I have a nerve to bully the villain. Eventhough I can't bully the boss I can atleast bully his subordinate'

System "___" Really a witch

Yere smile happily at her sweet rehege

" Fun ?"

"Yes...its really fun " her smile froze

"Hmm ? " Alfred glare at her

"That...I..am just worry about brother

what if you are hungry and none of your subordinate know how to cook...I just worry about brother " she bit her bottom lip

"Really ?" He narrowed his eyes as he looked at her. He didn't try hiding his discontentment.

Hearing his words, her brows knitted and she felt wronged on the inside.

" Yes...brother health is most important "

In less the time it took to burn half an incense, a bowl of savory noodles rapidly appeared in front of Yerenica's eyes. There was an egg, vegetables, and even a huge drumstick on top of the noodles!

Seeing this mouth watering sight in front of her, Yerenica's eyes were gleaming. She looked like she was drooling and wanted to absorb a transparent liquid of some sort.

Her current expression was like a gluttonous kitten. All that was missing were the words "I want to eat" on her face.

After Number 1 quickly placed down the bowl of noodles, he took a few steps back and in a blink of an eye, he was gone. He moved as fast as lightning and made it impossible for others to see. That was sufficient to show his martial arts abilities!

He quickly run away before their lady bully him again

Initially, she had placed all her concentration on the bowl of noodles, but after witnessing 1's mysterious flying abilities, she was pleasantly surprised!

Earlier, she didn't see how 1 appeared. But this time, she noticed how he left.

Could this be the legendary flying abilities?

It was too pro!

"Eat"

It was just a simple order. His voice was cold and distant. But when Yere  heard it, she was stunned.

"Aren't you hungry? Eat!"

Yere's face was still filled with doubt, but the bowl of noodles was too enticing. She didn't care anymore. I

Thinking of this, Yere sat down on the stone seat and lifted the chopsticks and took huge gulps.

She ate super fast. It was comparable to a wolf swallowing a tiger. It was hard to watch.

Especially her obvious "fu fu fu" sound, as she sucked the noodles into her mouth. On this quiet evening, it was very evident.

The way she ate was very graceless. She was like a starving ghost that had been reincarnated.

But she was too busy satisfying her stomach. Naturally, she wouldn't care about what others think of her.

She was going to starve to death soon. What was more important than food?

So, She devoured the entire bowl of noodles and the drumstick. Aside from the bone, there was nothing left.

Once she was finished, she stuck out her pink tongue and licked her oily lips. Her behaviour was like a cute little kitten. She looked like a satisfied, lazy, and happy kitten. So cute!

"Are you full?"

"Yup. I'm full."

She replied instantly. She seemed very honest as she made a hiccup sound.

Yere  immediately covered her mouth. She looked awkward and embarrassed as she secretly took a peek at the man next to her. But Alfred had already turned around. He probably didn't notice. Phew

Although she was very fearful of the man in front of her, he had kindly given her a bowl of noodles. Because of him, she didn't have to endure starvation. So now, her impression of the the villain has improved.

' What they say is true blood is thicker than water, he still have some affection for his sister '

System - When he learnt that you are not his real sister I cant even image what he is going to do

While she was thinking, Alfred's low and raspy voice entered her ears again.

" You May go "

" Eh..?" She turn toward him

" Don't wanna go back ? " Alfred lazily say

" No thats not it..um brother that man cooking is very good..I want to eat noodles tomorrow too " She point at the maid who stand far away from them

Alfred look at them brieftly

" De Lee "

De Lee let go of the man and order him to leave

The maid's face looked shocked. His eyes revealed uncertainty.

The Duke was letting her go so easily?

He is not going to kill him !

Although he was dumbfounded, his feet didn't stop.

After all, he had been waiting for this line for a long time. He finally had permission to leave. What was he waiting for?!

He quickly turned and walked away. It was as if he had added oil to his feet. In a moment, he had totally disappear. It was as if a fierce beast was after him

Yere "____" He sure run fast

" Good night brother " she wave her hand and smile happily

she had no idea that after she left,  Alfred  had slowly turned around.

His mouth had slowly curved upwards….
